The Original "Scott Had Too Much Fun at the Fort Last Week" thread

Hey,

I just need to brag on my baby a little....

My 9 year old enjoys growing out her beautiful hair......

and then cutting it all off and giving it to locks of love so they can make wigs for children who have lost their hair. We've been able to send in 4 ponytails so far. The last one was done yesterday.

What a wonderful thing to do !! She is adorable too...like a little pixie. The new cut is very flattering :goodvibes

I'm not sure if this is the useless thread or the ignore thread anymore. So I'll do both. I slept most of the day so now I'm awake at an ungodly hour, so I'll uselessly type and ignore at the same time :-)

Anybody else up??

Sorry your up so early but it is nice to chat with someone. I am always up while everyone else is sleeping.

I just woke up to my dumb cats scurrying around making noise. One of these days Daryl's gonna get a call about me Tina.:lmao:

Carol, I hope you're feeling better. I guess I've missed something about you being ill. Whatever is going on get well soon.

Nice!!!!

Has anyone checked the FW Ebay auctions lately? I thought my $60 pin was crazy. I guess these are pretty rare. If Mickey can't have a musket he surely can't have a dang lighter. If you look at this guy's other auction check out the Mickey/Minnie lighter. It says his friends left these behind. I bet he never calls them when he has a cool 1k in his pocket for 2 lighters lol.

After looking at this guys other auctions you gotta read his descriptions. In the Disney one's he doesn't want to remember his stepdaughters BFF and in the horse auction he doesn't want any more memories of his ex wife. I wonder if he prays he get's alzheimers?

Thanks Donnie. I had that female sergery thang earlier this week. (Spoken with my best redneck Alabama voice I could muster). That's what bites. I didn't feel "bad" before, but it's something that needed done, so the cure is feeling a bit worse than the problem right now.

I cant go on Ebay at work. Thats a good thing because I really, really enjoy Ebay!

Pets are one thing I've never had as an adult. We had a dog for lots of my growing up years, but it's just one thing we've never seemed to have time for.

WOW, talk about the "early bird", ya'll are out to get that worm !
Hope your feeling well this morn'n Carol.:thumbsup2

Oh, Ami!!! This is so precious! You are raising some mighty special and thoughtful girls. But then again...they have a terrific role model...their mom!!

You know, I have a motorhome that needs to be cleaned for our Labor Day trip, you still bored???:lmao:

After spending 3 days on the road to Florida in a few weeks with a 9yo and an 8yo, I may prefer cleaning your motorhome to spending another minute in the truck:idea: . Got the idea to change my signature with the new quote that I'm sure I'll be hearing for three days.

That is so cool Ami, glad that your daughter is already so thoughtful. You know, until a few years ago, I never really knew anyone who had cancer. Now, it hits too close to home. My father in law just found out yesterday that his initial diagnosis for his ailing health was incorrect and he has something called mantle cell lymphoma. This new Dr. essentially said, he was sorry, and don't go looking it up on the internet. Monday's appointment for chemo has been cancelled. Sounds ominous.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Cancer is such a heinous disease. Will keep your FIL in my prayers. If someone told me not to look it up on the internet, however, that would probably be the first thing I would do.

Thanks for the prayers. I took a look on the internet, and it looks like many of the treatment options are all in clinical trials.

Cancer does take a serious toll. We went to the ACS Relay for Life recently and I was blown away at the number of local people I know who were in the cancer survivors walk with my son. That's why we enjoy life while we can, just gotta get out and dance while the song is still playing
