Post your Favorite DLR Holiday photo

Jasmine, what a beautiful picture! Even DBF saw it and he said it was really pretty. He wouldn't lie either. I was like "that's her! She was there with her family the same night we were!" And he's like "oooohhh! Yeah!" Haha, anyways! Wonderful job! I can't wait to see more from you!

Thanks Courtney & tell your DBF I said thank you too :) I wish I had more time to take more pictures of DLR, but it was SOOO busy last weekend that I couldn't get good shots without people around! That just means I'll have to come back again ;)

OMG! what a perfect shot! I especially love that you caught the moon in the pic. Nice job!

Thank you Christina!

When I saw the moon out over HM I was saying "oooo! Perfectttt!" I fell in love ;)

The Halloween tree in Frontierland was so beautiful at night time all lit up!

It IS beautiful! I don't think I even saw that tree when I was there the first weekend of October! My darn friend was so quick to dismiss a lot of areas in DL and DCA as "not having anything good" and would avoid them. Meanwhile, I like to stroll around as leisurely as I can with thousands of people bustling past me and take in the little details like this tree! I missed it!

This photo is from last Halloween. Not sure if the candy corn farmers were there this year or not. I didn't see them.

disneyluvr2,

What was your costume this year??
P.S. Check out and post on the new thread in my siggie if you want!

Great photos, DisneySuiteFreak! I am chomping at the bit to get to DLR and see all of that again. Your pictures only made me more anxious! I think a lot of people miss out when they don't stick around to see the Castle at night with the icicle/snow effect because I think it is so beautiful, and it doesn't look as impressive in the daytime at all. I love how you can see it all the way up Main Street when you first walk in the gates, and it glows that almost eerie, incandescent kind of blue-purple that can be seen for what seems like miles away!

I like this picture too. It does a great job capturing the icey look. :thumbsup2Usually the daylight pictures make the castle look like it's got something weird on it, IMHO but this angle is definitely cool.

I don't live in the snow anymore but that's pretty much what our house looked like! Well, the icicle part.. not the castle part. ;)

Prettyprincessbelle's photo is cool because, from that close angle/vantage point, the Castle almost looks like it is draped in pearls or beads to me, rather than ice - but that is not a bad thing at all. In fact, I think that gves it a whole different kind of interesting holiday effect - sort of like the Castle is snowy AND bejeweled, which makes it seem even more magical and majestic!

Croconile, that Pooh/DD picture looks like it straight out of a DLR brochure or commercial! In fact, I have seen quite a few photos taken by DIS-ers on the various picture threads that look like they truly belong in a DLR ad (like the precious photo of the elderly couple in the Teacups from the Spirit of DLR thread, which we all love!). I wish that those who took these brochure-worthy photos could somehow submit them to Disney's art/creative department for possible publishing, and at least make some money off of these fantastic images!!! They may not accept all of them, but I bet they would take some of them (like the one of the elderly couple)!

OoooOOo pretty :)

Great job Courtney !

Thank youuuuu, Ja Ja Ja Jasmine! :thumbsup2

Thanks Sherry E; glad you enjoyed the picture! I feel the same way about walking up main street and seeing it glowing. I can't wait to get back there and see it in real life too!
