I am going in October of 09 and we were thinking of staying in Aruba? But, this will be our first time there! I was wondering possibly how far the walk would be from there to the OPR? And, does anyone have any pictures from that village? And, what is the best rooms in your opinion? We are soo excited!!

The pirate cruise was super - Definately a highlight of out trip - here is another picture of the booty . . .

One tip I can offer about the cruise is dont stray far - it was so much fun to watch them descretely from the shore!

Yes, the pirate rooms are all in Trinidad South. About a 7-10 minute walk to OPR. The main pool and children's pool are at OPR.

Are the pirate rooms only in Trinadad South?
Are they standard price or preferred?
Also, if each set of rooms (Aruba, Jamaica, etc..) has their own bus stop, beach and smaller pool.... is the only inconvenience about staying there the fact that you're further away from the big pool and food? How far a walk is it from Trinidad South to the main pool?

Yes, the pirate rooms are only in Trinidad South. They are the same price as a preferred room.

Each village has it's own quiet pool and bus stop. Three of the villages have playgrounds - Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad South.

Trinidad North and Martinique are closest to OPR (main pool, food court, restaurant, gift shops), right on either side. Aruba and Jamaica and right across the bridge from OPR, a 5 minute walk. Barbados and Trinidad South are furthest out at a 7-10 minute walk. There is also a internal bus that runs the resort continuously if you don't care to walk.

CBR Marina ~Island of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure - For children ages 4-12 (must be potty trained) -- young adventurers, wearing pirate bandannas, will board a boat to sail the Ports of the Caribbean, just like Captain Jack! They will be told the story of Old Port Royale and of the pirates that used to sail the waters. They will find props and signs leading to treasure. Once they recover the treasure, they will sail to Fort Cay and trade for some grub (lunch). When they return to Old Port Royale, they will unlock the treasure chest and bounty will be shared by all. Operates Sundays, as well as Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. $30 per child pus tax. Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Uncrustables, Gummy Bears, Gold Fish Treats, and Apple Juice Box. DFI and I always stay here. Personally I find it to be one of the best places to stay... And wevestayed at alot but got hooked here. The fact that there are like, little getaways each with their own name and you have to go around the circle of the lake to get to the resturant, really just, makes you feel as though you are in another country!
