M&M Tube Label....pressed pennies

what kind of labels do you buy to print these designs on? I saved the Belle and HSM and Cars ones. Could you possibly make a MEEKO one?

p.s. are the M&M tubes the mega tube size? I have a smaller tube size, but I think Mega tube would fit more pennies and quarters.

Hello.. These are cool! Quick question please.. What size tubes are we suppose to use? And does anyone have a picture they can share of how it looks when it is done? Thanks so much.

Another question please.. How did you print these out to make sure they are the correct size? Did you just open up the jpeg and hit print or do you copy it onto a word doc or photoshop/paint and resize it? Thanks.

I have the large tubes, but I know in Natalies 4 shared pictures she has them some saved in the smaller size. I used a light cardstock to print my up. The one in the photo was done with reg paper for an example. I used double sided adhesive tape to attach. I have heard of people laminating the paper too to make it more durable. I did have to resize the photo for the ones I made. I used Photoshop to print them out. I resized my to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 for the large tubes.

Hope this helps.

Judy,
Those really turned out cute!
Thanks for posting them.....

those tubes look awesome!

I don't have photoshop, though.......is there an alternative program someone could recommend. I can use the Belle one for me and make a HSM one for my niece and two "Cars" ones for my nephews.

Where did you get your "light" cardstock? An office supply or craft supply store? (e.g Michaels or Hobby Lobby or Office Max/Office Depot/Staples)

I can get Mega sized tubes @ my local CVS, thank goodness. :)

I printed mine from a word document on regular paper. I just copied and pasted on to the page. If you need to resize them, click on the picture and use picture tools to resize.

I will try to get photos of them uploaded later today.

Thanks Natalie-

I have several more to do. My 3 boys want 2 different Disigns each for Disney and one for Universal. I have only been 2 Universal 2 times and have no idea about their pressed pennies. I guess I need to start saving up alot of quarters and pennies:) We leave 3/28.

I bought a pack from Jo Anns I believe when they were on sale. They were origianlly $4 for a pack of 50. I think you should be able to use Word or something like that to paste and resize, but I have never tried. Maybe someone else out here can give you some advice on that. I got Photoshop Elements when it was on sale and I love it. I'm not good at it like the other DISigners out there, but I can add text and such. I wish I had more time to mess with it. I'm always doing other projects though :)

I got my tubes at CVS as well. I think they are the only store in my area that carries the large ones.

Here are the tubes I made. Although, since Natalie posted some new labels I may have to make more. :flower3:

Please excuse the pictures being a little fuzzy. My husband is the photographer in our family and he is at work. :rolleyes1

Thanks everyone for posting these pictures.. Natalie really does a great job creating them... and you've all done a fabulous job getting them on the tubes. I'm planning on using the blue Mickey and will just resize it as suggested (I have the big mega tubes). Thanks again. :goodvibes

Natalie-

Christopher just saw the tubes I made, and he is very excited. But, he has requested another DISign. So, if you get a chance, can you make one with Flounder. Thanks so much.

Would it be possible to get a small tube label made for Sea World?

Thank you so much,
Krista

Natalie...you are a doll! I just wandered on to this section...now I will be up to 3 am tonight!!! LOL!!! I appreciate your generosity. WOuld you be ok if I copied your pressed penny labels....I have a cars, peter pan and cinderella fans over here. I never thought of such a clever idea. I will be checking out your link too!! Thank you, Laura

Natalie...I love your designs! If it is not too much trouble, would you be able to make a small tube label with Donald Duck? Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work! My kids are so excited.

Natalie, your designs are soo neat and what an excellent idea to put the 2 quarters and penny in a tube so that you have them ready to press!
I have bought a couple of tubes the 55gram size (from the lid to the bottom is 6") was wondering if you had some samples that I could print off for the kids tubes and of course Mom has to have one too! I am looking for something (anything really Princess or Hannah Montana for DD) and really liked the Mickey Star wars with the blue background for my friends DS. I am not real picky and would like anything. If you could send maybe 4 labels for DD and I to share and just one for the boy that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, you guys are really talented!

Hi Natalie,

I just came across your labels. I love them! I was wondering if you could out together 4 of these for me. I need the following:

1) Emma's Pressed Pennies pink/Tink

2) Benny's Pressed Pennies blue/Buzz

3) Taylor's Pressed Pennies blue/Goofy

4) Laundry Money blue/pink Minnie

I saw the above posted on the board/ 4shared link

Thanks for all of your time. :)

I just learned how to post pics today so I'm posting pics of my pressed penny tubes. I only needed 2 but they were so darn cute! I got a little carried away making them.

Great tubes Jennifer, I am working on making some too for our trip! I made a blue one with the conductor Mickey for a friend from work's son, and a green tube with Hannah Montana, I will have to take a pic later and post them also! Such a great idea, Natalie's designs are great!

Where @ Joanns would the cardstock be? I've been there twice in the past month or so looking for iron ons (could **not** find any Disney Princess ones) and I will go again one more time to try to find light cardstock for wrapping around the M&M containers for Pressed Penny money. I don't want to spend 20 minutes wandering around the store, though.

I'm also making a trip to Hobby Lobby to pick up plain t-shirts (for the star wars lego designs that amy MICKEY did for me for my nephews, the Belle and Meeko ones for me and a hat for the Belle applique I finally bought online) so if they carry it.......I can get it there.

I am so confused. I printed a label for a short m&m container and it still came out 5x5. what am I doing wrong????? :(

This website has a list of where each of the pressed penny machines are and what they press.

http://www.allearsnet.com/btp/pennylist.htm

I didn't know if you already had a list but this one's pretty darn good!
thanks so much for listing that website. I am going to print one for me and one for my 2 oldest to look at. Wow I didnt realize there where that many machines. Now to descide which ones to get this trip.

They sell books that have clear plastic "pockets" that you can slide them in.
This is a terrible picture but hopefully you'll get the idea. They have them all over the "World".

Those are cute books. Does anyone know how much the cost and how many pressed pennies they hold?

I found the larger size tubes at the checkout area at CVS today. Only downside is they only had orange left :(

Is Natalie still disigning these? I'd love to get one made that says "Laundry Money". Maybe with Mickey or Mickey and the Gang. I'm planning on bringing one tube of only quarters to do :laundy: if needed.
Thanks!

Three more days and a wake up til I see Mickey again!
Thanks for the idea of making one for laundry money. We plan to do a few loads while there, just cant pack enough suite cases for 6 people in our van with that many clothes. lol

We went to the zoo last weekend and the kids got one each from there and we use to go to stone moutain a lot when we lived in Ga and they loved getting them from there.

The Pressed Penny books are 6.95 and they hold 48+ Pennies and 9 pressed quarters.
If i can figure out how to post a picyure i will soon.
The books come in lots of different styles. I have seen Sorcerer Mickey and Tinkerbell that i remember. Hope this helps:)
