Funny update, Post Host!:rotfl2:

Liesa, sorry you are still feeling like crap, Hope you can get a quick end to your pain. Funny idea about the pain meds! Maybe you should take a portrait pic while on them, and you could be just like Cherie!:rotfl2:

I don't think I've ever noticed those medallions either!

You snagged some great shots on SE, stuff I've never even seen on there. :confused3

I personally don't mind the feet seats in Soarin' - for me it reminds me of how high up we are and makes me feel like I'm flying even more.

Ya, I'm weird like that!

It wouldn't have been so bad except it's a half hour there and a half hour back! UGH! hey, if you like a good read about just HOW AMAZING our bodies really are, I have a good title for you to check out. A book called "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made". It's a story about a doctor who lived in India and worked with lepers. He uses the analogy about our bodies and some of its technical/physiological aspects to the Body. It's simply a wonderful, wonderful book!!

This sounds like a good one! I'm going to mark it in my "list" for a future read. :thumbsup2

Yeah, Amtrak might have to call Homeland Security. I do have both, and I imagine given enough GG slushies it might be funny to play the trashcans while in the hot tub. :lmao: Oh, and they're plastic- might not be quite as brash.

When my oldest so was in high school they had a band director (only there 2 years) who started a trash can band with whatever kids were interested. It was really pretty good. They used about 4 or 5 big plastic trash cans, some metal lids, old boards, paper sacks, pvc pipe, just basically whatever they could beat on. It was loud - although not as loud as the Jamminators since they weren't using metal cans - and it was really pretty neat and sounded good. They played a couple songs at a couple of the regular band concerts, they had a hay rack that they rode on to perform in a few different parades, and they perfomed in the talent show at the county fair. The kids loved it. The band director was actually able to get more kids to join band because of it. Of course, in the wisdom of our school board, they fired her, and two years later band no longer exists at our school. :headache:

Liesa, I am so far behind on all of my subscribed threads this week, that I can't comment on everything. But I did read your last two updates and they were great as always, I LOVE the pics of you with the characters. :goodvibes

Liesa, I would love to see your Christmas bonus update including the Lebkuchen! My tea bonus update only took me something like 8 months to post... :goodvibes

I know, running in the cold isn't fun. I still do it as long as there isn't any ice or snow on the road. But only down to -2°C, not if it is even colder. You just need to wear warm cloths - preferrable only "technical" fibers, no cotton which will just cling to you cold and wet when you get sweaty. I was supposed to do a "fast run" today for 45 minutes according to my schedule, but I wasn't much faster than on other days. But now I am very tired. Unfortunately I am finding my training way too tiring at the moment. Not the way it is supposed to be. :confused3 I have no idea what it is. The only good thing is that the scale is moving in the direction I want it to move. :goodvibes

Flight of Wonders is a very funny show! I love how they make fun of tourists! :rotfl:

And the Gutenberg bible is still in Latin, the first one in vernacular is the translation by Luther. Which was then made popular due to the printing press which was invented shortly before Luther's time. We still use the Luther translation (in a modernised form) in the German Lutheran church. And this translation is also the origin of modern German - until then there were very many different dialects and not one common written language. Luther's bible translation kind of codified written German.

Uh oh. I didn't realize payment was due. Um...I'm pretty sure I have a check in the car. Mind if I run over and get it?

[drives off]

:car: that what this is one if for right????

Follow the flag: Flight of Wonders reference??

As soon as I read this i knew she was right. :headache::rolleyes1

I want to get out and start running again, but NOT when it's so cold. :headache:

I am lucky it is nice here. So much easier to get out and walk/run.

YES!!!! YOu got it!! Bwana Bob's famous line! Good job! by the way, this was a bit of a test run, for a new game I 'm thinking about starting. There are so many going on now, that I"m really not sure if everyone (or ANYone wants another?)

I am up for it as long as i can keep up.

Liesa, I'm loving your post host updates! I've never noticed those invention tiles before...next time I'm there, I'll have to look down more often!

I hope you're feeling less crappy today...

Flights of Wonder! Of course! :headache:

Dang, I thought I responded to your update Liesa! Anywho, your post host post is fabulous!

Ugh, flags. Tour group flags. Brazilian tour group flags. Or cheerleaders. Which is the lesser of two evils?

You know, I've never seen that hidden mickey on SE! I am soooo going to look for it next time. I love that ride, don't you? The first time I rode it, I was that annoying person who used the flash on their camera! When we got off, DH was like 'uh Molly, that was kinda rude that you were flashing everyone on the ride!' Oops! Never happened again after, I swear!

What the? The Civil war is over?? Hold on, I have to go check Yahoo and see if that's true...ok, I'm back and you were right! Thanks for letting me know.:thumbsup2 And here I thought the North and South still had issues with one another!

I saw those stones too, or plaques I suppose! We actually stopped to read a bunch of them. I'd never noticed before, probably because I'm usually walking insanely fast to Soarin'! They were cool though, huh?

Another great update! You are the best futuristic tour guide ever! Maybe you send this update down to Disney so they can hire you?;)

Molly, that was kinda rude that you were flashing everyone on the ride!' Oops! Never happened again after, I swear!

See, I knew you and Liesa would get along fine!!!!! At least Liesa had the decency to be behind closed doors! I bet you made some teenage boys very happy!!!! :lmao::lmao:

popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

How did I miss that NEWS The Civil War is over !!!Marv that means you have to be CIVIL!!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:
there is also a SC law that says you have to shower every 4 days, but he doesnt follow that one either.

you think you can get him to act civil?
:rolleyes1

so you are the one that takes the bright flash pictures on the dark rides....just to have pictures to entertain your TR readers.
:thumbsup2

Great update Liesa!

Glad you commited 2.4 min to properly record the moment for future generations.

I think you make a great Liesa Jetson! You totally are rockin that smile. You got some great pictures inside the ride. I didn't know that hidden Mickey existed. Very cool!

You whole post was cracking me up! Way to go on back to back Soarin rides. I love the picture of the feet. I am going to try that one in May. ;)

So, I am now going back for yet another test tomorrow called a hydascan. Since the US didn't show any stones, they have to determine whether I have a malfunction GB. If it's not that, he says I may have an ulcer. I guess I am supposed to take Prilosec for a couple of weeks as well, and go from there. Long story short, no quick fix for me.

I don't think I've ever noticed those medallions either!

They are easy to miss, if you aren't looking down; I'll wager to guess you've had a stroller in your way of seeing them for a while now. :rolleyes1

OK, that is wierd, Brook! Feet detract, not enhance. But hey, you can have the feet seats anytime! More front row ones for me.

Sounds like a victim of budget cuts to me. Or she was just too progressive for their taste?? Sad.

I am too; with all my docs. appts. lately, I've fallen terribly behind. So hard to catch up when you get in that situation. BTW, I"ve been wondering how your roof situation and your brother are doing. I'll get on over to your thread tonight, and give it a check up.

Liesa, I would love to see your Christmas bonus update including the Lebkuchen! My tea bonus update only took me something like 8 months to post... :goodvibes

OK, I'll have to work on that soon. Maybe I'll take my computer to the lab tomorrow and see if they have internet and work on it while waiting for my turn.

Moving the scale DOWN is such a good thing. I can't believe how 5 months of running last spring/summer put me in the best shape I've been in for years! Alas, I've let it go, and can really see a difference. I know I can start again soon, and can really train until November, then I'll by then know my city well enough that I can find a good gym and continue on with a treadmill until spring 2012. Then after that, it'll be just a few short months until that 1/2 I"m really looking forward to. I think 18 months is more than plenty of time to be ready. :goodvibes:banana:

Flight of Wonders is a very funny show! I love how they make fun of tourists! :rotfl:

I think it's pretty funny too. And I like how they make fun of him too at the same time.

DUH!! OF COURSE it was!! How could I have forgotten that??!! Guess it's been too long since I've seen Luther. I grew up in the Lutheran church too- I should have known that without even thinking. :sad2:

Aw, poor Lucy! I hope she gets better soon!

yeah, I guess the rotten thing will have to come out- apparently, it's no big loss. I wonder how much some of my back pain is due to this??

yeah, I was sort of like, "WHA..?" Who knew. She told me though, that even just smelling coffee or walking past a bakery can trigger your G.B. to contract. Who knew?!!

She's on the mend now - thanks!

That is so weird that even a smell could do that?!

And yet, they are mesmerizing- for at least 2.4 minutes. I’ve never seen anything like; I doubt you ever will either.

I really like the Jammitors - I usually watch for 3.4 minutes!

Well isn't that cool?

So - no GB removal today? No, not you Great Biscuit, you can stay;) How frustrating! Has the pain subsided at all?
