Invitations

I finally get to play, yay!

We made ours....well, I made ours, with help of FMIL. You probably can't tell here, but the whole pocketfold is a shimmer blue. The pics aren't that great because I used my phone camera.

Super cute!!! I love these, the colors fit so nicely together :goodvibes

Our theme is "Hawaiian" and we're asking everyone to wear a Hawaiian shirt (if they have one).

Here's our "Save the Date":

Ah! All the more reason to buy a cricut! :rotfl: I've been trying to convince DF that I NEED one. This should do the trick. He really liked the way your invites came out :goodvibes

You can get the v1 Cricut these days for less than $100. I think they're going for around $75-80 and less on eBay.

I finally get to post. People are finally getting invited to our wedding, we may actually have guests. We had two choiced and decided on the top. Shelley from Impressions is great.

Has anyone heard of invitations modeled after the old A-E ticket books? I suggested the passport invite idea to my DF since we are having a DCL wedding and he took it one step further and wants to make an invite modeled after the old A-E ticket books by himself. One of the pages would have wedding info on it while the next couple pages would have information on how to book their cruise and how to RSVP on our yet-to-be-constructed website. Any ideas?

what's an A-E ticket book?

We made passport invites (images are earlier in the thread :) when we were originally scheduled to have a DCL wedding in Castaway Cay. If you like I can email you the ipages file or pdfs of what I made/wording, etc -sizes etc if that would help :) I sewed the seam of the passports and it was surprisingly super easy! Let me know if I can help in any way

I am trying to put together passport invitations for our wedding so I would really appreciate any assistance you can offer in terms of templates etc. I have no artistic skills what so ever!!

I have the iPages file or I can email you the PDF so you can copy the look/layout/wording, etc.! Let me know and PM me your email address and I can email it to you! (or if I am able to PM it?! Never tried that before...) :hippie:

I dont know that exact specifics but in general, when Disneyland opened in 1955, You wouldnt just pay for admission and get on rides as much as you want like you do now. You would buy these tickets books that contained 5 tickets labeled A- E. The way it worked is that you would give one of these tickets to the ride operator in exchange for admission onto the specific ride. Big attractions like the Matterhorn were considered E-ticket rides while tamer attractions like the Main Street Vehicles were considered A-ticket rides and so forth. The link below has more info and pictures of these ticket books.

Long story short, my DF wants to recreate these and use the template as invitations. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Check my pj. It's towards the last few pages. We did this as well. I only have a pic of the front and back of the ticket book, but we are working on the middle :)
