As of 6pm this evening, I am officially on VACATION. We are packed (except for the usual last minute toiletries needed in the morning). So we will get up very early in the morning and head out on the first leg of our journey. I hope to be at our hotel in Lake City, FL by 3 or 4 EST. We will continue our drive to the Port on Saturday.

Wishing everyone safe travels, however they may be traveling. And we will see you on Sunday!!! (We'll see a few of you on Saturday evening at the Radisson.) Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Okay so my wife decided to make some Mickey Tye Dye shirts this week. My girls had some friends over and they jumped in on the fun. So step one was to wrap the shirts up in rubber bands, the look kinda like a Pork Tenderloin! MMMMMMM food *drool*, oops I'm sorry where was I OH YEAH the shirts:

Then applied the dye:

Then, wrap the shirts in Saran Wrap and set for eight hours:

Then, wash, rinse, and viola! Mickey Tye Dye Shirts! We probably will be wearing these shirts to the terminal!

Well, 5 hours down and 10 more to go on our drive to the port. Made it to our first stop in Biloxi after working a half day. Now for a good night sleep for the long haul begins. Have a safe trip everyone!

In other news, well I guess we need to pack today!

Anyone know if it is booked out yet? I got an end of year bonus and we are thinking we might want to do this now.

How funny....my husband accuses me of being the only lunatic who insists on cleaning the house before we go on vacation! I can't wait to tell him I am not the only one. I hate coming home to a messy house, too! Plus, I worry that if something happens to my entire family while we are on vacation and the police or coroner or somebody has to go through our house, they will talk about how sloppy I am! Kind of like putting on clean underwear in case you are in a car accident!

Well, we are leaving bright and early Saturday morning. We have our car rental reserved for 8AM, but the rental agency opens at 7, so I think we are going to get there right after they open and see if we can go ahead and get the van. I would love to be on the road by 8. We hope to be at the CI&S meet at 8 that night, but it is going to be close. We have a long, long drive.

It is almost here......so excited!!!

Have to clean our house too

My son is getting older and more mature..... I told him I needed to vacuum and mop the floors before we left and he actually said "how about I'll vacuum and you mop?"
And then he ACTUALLY did it! WITHOUT being reminded!

Also, I told him to watch his smoothie budget onboard and he said:
"I'll give you money for my tab."
Of course, I won't take it, but how cool is that?

LOL! I worry about that too! Glad I'm not the only one. Have you seen that episode of "The Middle" where they were on vacation and they got a call that their house had been broken into and ransacked? Turns out they left the house that way!

Ashman - Love the shirts. I was supposed to make t-shirts for the trip using Teresa's design (which I love) but I never had time. We have made it to our first stop in Lake City, FL. Probably not. We left at 6:30 this morning. My DD did not sleep last night and because of that, I didn't get much either. Then I drove for 8 hours. Needless to say, I'm a little tired. Will continue on to the Port tomorrow. We are about 2-3 hours away.

Us, three! I need to get off the computer and go to bed! I am doing one more little load of laundry and I swear I am hitting the sack. We are SOOOOOOO excited!

It official! We have packed our entire house and ready to move on the Dream for several weeks. This is a 14 day cruise right? At least it seems we packed enough stuff.

DW ran to the Kohl's to grab some last minute clothes and I think we have now spent more on new clothes than one of our rooms. I tell you packing for the park is so much easier.
