iOS 7 Now Available

I have the 4. The download didn't crash my phone but to be honest everything seems much slower. I wish I had read the reviews that said this was a problem before updated. Many of the features are not available for the 4. My battery went from 98% to 70% with 2 posts here.

I have a 4 also. Not sure I notice anything being slower but I am suspicious that the battery might be draining faster. I read on CNN that newer operating systems that are designed for the 5's can drain the batteries on older models.

My daughter has the 4s and downloaded the update last night. She was complaining her battery was going down quickly today.

I am anal about my battery life, so even w/ the 5, I am afraid.

I have the 4 as well. I read the reviews and benchmarks for the 4. Many concluded that it does make the phone a little slower and advised to wait to download it until Apple releases an update which I think I'm going to do. I am going to head to the Apple store to play around with the 5S to decide if I want to upgrade.

I upgraded this morning. I went from 28% to 16% with one text. And I had a doctors appt today. While I was there (3 hours) it went from 90% to 70% without even being used

ETA: I have a 4s.... Upside... It's charging really quick!

I have a 5 and mine is down to about 50% and it's 3:00. I have been using it more than usual today though.

The battery life's been fine on my 5 with the upgrade.

I didn't put iOS 6 on my iPhone 4, there were widespread reports of slowness at the time. I'm not remotely surprised that iPhone 4's are having trouble with iOS 7, they could barely run iOS 6.

I am surprised that Apple let the 4's install it. A brand new OS on a 3 year old phone is not going to be a happy experience. They would have been better off restricting it to the 4s and newer models.

No visible impact on battery life on a iPhone 5, iPhone 4, iPad mini or iPad 2.

I have decide not to update on my iPhone 4 because I was reading some reviews last night on it. Some people were saying that on they iPhone 4s the update was really sluggish after the update. I am going to stick with using iOS 6. Plus iOS 7 is not mandatory to download on to the phone. Plus I don't like the way the it looks now. To me it looks like a kid drew it.

My DIS boards app will not load since my update. It keeps telling me the connection timed out. I even deleted the app and reloaded it. Is anyone else having that problem?

I am having the same problem. It opened no problem last night before I updated.

I am having the same problem. It opened no problem last night before I updated.

I used my DIS app all day today (I am keeping an eye on the Cancelled December ADR thread. Hoping for Ohana cancellation. ) before I updated. I finally had time to update to iOS7 about two hours ago, and my DIS app will not work now. I am so bummed! That is how I am watching for cancellations.
ETA: I have the iPhone 5 . I don't know if that matters or not.

Theres a few things to turn off...

1) Background App Refresh
2) Location services(Location Based iAds, Popular Near Me)
3) Airdrop(iPhone 5+ only)
4) Parallax

that should save u a bunch of battery life...
