I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Your meal at Coral Reef looks really good. This used to be a must-do for us, but with so many places to choose in EPCOT and the resort area, it hasn't made it onto our lineup for the past few trips.

I enjoy doing it with the girls as they enjoy it so much. Mark and I did it for the CP, but we will skip it for a few times now. We still have places we want to try.

You certainly can't beat the atmosphere there. Watching turtles, sharks, rays and beautiful fish while you are eating is an amazing experience.

:cloud9:

You can't beat it!

I was going to quote and post the picture of Imagination with the flowers in the foreground- I love the colors in that photo.

Isn't it beautiful?

Mexico is such a great spot for silly hat photos. I love the big hats followed by the itty-bitty one.

:goodvibes

They've been doing that picture with/for Mr. Mark since we met them.

Missed the previous update, so I'll comment on all!

You've had a lot on your plate.

First, prayers for Alisha. I hope they figure out what is causing her pain and problems, and that she is feeling okay until her appointment.

Thanks, Steph. I do too...I just want her to not be in pain.

You had a good time at Epcot! I will confess that I've never done any of the things in Innoventions (neither East nor West) though I plan to remedy that in December!

I showed Mark the pictures and he said we should spend some time in there as well.

Good pictures on SSE, and :rotfl2: for Mary needing to pay for your coffee, and in front of Lisa, John and Hunter! :rotfl: It was hysterical. Great pictures of everyone with Chip and Dale too. Thank you!

Yay for Coral Reef! I love that place, and you got some great pictures of the aquarium marine life! :goodvibes And you got some really good pictures on The Seas with Nemo and Friends, which is hard to do in those moving clam-mobiles!

We like it too; it is hard to get pictures with those clams moving.

:lmao: at the girls in the sombreros, big and small!

They crack me up.

I'm sorry to hear about Alisha. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of her problems and find a simple solution.

Thanks, Andy; we appreciate it.

I'm glad to see that. I thought FP+ had been causing a significantly inflated standby on this one.

I think we had about a ten minute wait before the girls could start.

Always a great choice.

Yes, and a relaxing one.

Of course...

Stop it now!

Well, when you keep buying that Starbucks stuff, it makes you run out of money in a hurry!!!

Not when you are a member; you get a freebie after 10 purchases. :)

I have got to keep DW away from that display.

You sound like Captain_Oblivious

I thought it was next to the aquarium in T-Rex... :sad2: :rolleyes1

Never been there and have no desire.

Talking about diving in when you eat at Coral Reef... You are starting to write like Barry.:rolleyes1

Oh heaven help me; I'll tell him you said that when I see him on Sunday.

I got so behind, but I am all caught up now!

:wave2: Sara.

So glad you had a good visit with the kiddos! I saw the Garretts photo on Facebook and was so jealous! YUMM! We are keeping Alisha in our prayers!!

That stuff is addicting; I ate almost my whole bag on the car ride home. There is one a block from my office...I have to stay away.

So sad it is your last full day.:sad1: But I am excited that you will have a new TR coming up in not to long!:lmao:

I hate last full days. :(

Epcot became our favorite park while we were there, glad you guys were having so much fun! :thumbsup2

We had a blast.

Still haven't tried this place out, either. I love the atmosphere, though. Is there enough to satisfy a seafood-hater?

They do have other offerings. Seared chicken breast, braised short rib, grilled new York strip steak. I've had the steak and I enjoyed it (it's not Yachtsman quality, but it was good).

The Seas were empty, fortunately on our trip they were as well too. Love the "two caballeros ;) "

I'm confused? What do you mean the Seas were empty? You mean no line?

More  for you sweet Alisha!

Thank you Jeanette.

I'm glad that the girls spotted Hunter ('cause we both know that they were all about Hunter and not John and I ) so we could meet up again. I do remember Mary paying for your coffee and giving you playful grief over it.

I am too; but what were we thinking without having our camera out? Yes, I remember ALL of you giving me a bit of grief over it.

I wonder why they don't have the fried shrimp on the dinner menu? I wonder that but then I'd probably order their steak anyway since it's always been good.

Lisa, it's on the kids menu; but if you ask, they will make an adult portion and charge you the difference.

The Mexico pictures had me giggling. Those girls are always good for a laugh or two.

They certainly are!

I really am going to have to give the Coral Reef another try sometime. It has been 20 some years since I have eaten there. I must say that the butter has changed. I only remember this because the butter we had was little busts of Mickey and my ex was chopping off Mickey's ears to my total embarrassment! :lmao: I wish they would add the shrimp to the dinner menu, I would so get it when I return. Yummm

As I explained to Lisa, it is on the kids menu which is the same at lunch and dinner...just ask for the adult portion. Your ex was cutting off Mickey's ears?

The hat pictures are awesome! I love the little hat. ;)

Thanks; they are so cute with their hat photos.

Great update!! Love the hat pictures

Thank you! :goodvibes

I still haven't eaten at Coral reef either......though it always looks sooooo good!

You must put it on your list for your next longer visit.

I figured Coral Reef was the destination but never got around to posting that...

Darn work...ruining your plans again!

I need to go back there but as usual there are too many favorites and too many new places that take up all the dining slots in my trips. :)

That's the problem with Epcot...too many favorites and too many new places still to try.

The girls are having fun with all the hats. I just remember my DS trying on the teeny tiny hat and how funny that looked on him. :lmao:

I'm not sure who would really buy one of those teeny ones unless they got it for a doll.

I've gotten so behind.
First so sorry to read about Alisha's issues. Hopefully they find out what is going on. Prayers for her.

What a fun Epcot day so far. I think we'll need to try and play that bank game next trip. Love the atmosphere at Coral Reef. We had a dinner there once, my meal was not what I had hoped for, but the dessert was really good. I think I got the same thing you have pictured.

Can't wait to see how the rest of your day goes :goodvibes

Coral Reef is my DH's fav. We haven't been there for a while now though. Did you enjoy it? That dessert looks amazing!!

Kathy, I had no idea that Alisha has been experiencing some health issues; She is in my prayers that the doctors will find out what is wrong and that they can treat it so that she will not have anymore problems.

Love your Epcot day so far. Unfortunately,we also made our way into Mouse Gear and discovered the Vera Bradley section. Why I say unfortunately; well Alyssa and Carolyn both walked out of that place with new Vera Bradley bags. :confused3

We almost made an ADR for the Coral Reef about the same time as you all were there. It was a late change of plans where we ended up eating at San Angel Inn instead. I have been to CR three times and in spite of so many negative reviews, I have always enjoyed our experience there.

Looking forward to you wrapping up this TR. Now to head over to your pre- TR before heading out to work. :goodvibes

We got a lot done 3that morning. If I don't talk to you before, HAVE A GREAT TRIP with the girls. Let us know if you do a TR.

Thank you! We'll be on the road in less than 48 hours! I am seriously considering doing a TR. I've already told my husband that I may be photographing his food and he said "No, I'll be eating my food," so some food pics may be lacking, but I think I'll do one!

Love the Coral Reef pics. We are finally going to try it this year and I can't wait. I also love the sombrero pics, the first one especially!

I want you to do a report! I wanna see it! I wanna hear about it! Take a bunch of pictures and come back to us with a full on report. No pressure or anything. :rolleyes1:lmao:

No worries; it happens to all of us. Thank you for the prayers for Alisha.

The kids loved the Piggy Bank. That Chocolate Wave is to die for.

Coming up soon.

Coral Reef is my DH's fav. We haven't been there for a while now though. Did you enjoy it? That dessert looks amazing!!

I really enjoy Coral Reef. It's not my favorite at Epcot, but it is in the top three.

Kathy, I had no idea that Alisha has been experiencing some health issues; She is in my prayers that the doctors will find out what is wrong and that they can treat it so that she will not have anymore problems.

Thanks, Bob. I truly appreciate it.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Love it!

I'm surprised how many negative reviews it gets. How was San Angel? I don't eat Mexican, but Mark would probably like to try it sometime.

Looking forward to you wrapping up this TR. Now to head over to your pre- TR before heading out to work. :goodvibes

I've got to get it finished...we are in single digits tomorrow.

Thank you! We'll be on the road in less than 48 hours! I am seriously considering doing a TR. I've already told my husband that I may be photographing his food and he said "No, I'll be eating my food," so some food pics may be lacking, but I think I'll do one!

I think you should! I would be there to read for sure.

Oh I am so glad you are going to try to Coral Reef; I hope you enjoy it.

I ditto what Lisa says, Clare.

After trying on sombreros, it was time to go on the Mexican version of a Slow Boat to China while we waited for our DIS meet.

Poor Donald

We exited the ride and waited in the Marketplace for our DISmeet. And then we saw Bob and his wife, Carolyn (goofy4prez here on the DIS). We had the good fortune to meet Bob and Carolyn at our mega DIS meet during our December Christmas trip with Mary and the girls. And, as is the rule, if there isn't a picture, it didn't happen:

We spent several minutes talking to Bob and Carolyn and had another great visit. Bob, we truly enjoyed seeing you again and thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to meet with us.

We then headed out to tour a bit more of World Showcase.

We went and saw the movie in China.

Coming up: More touring of World Showcase and friends arrive

Continuing our tour of WS:

Then we went to see The American Adventure

We continued our walk

By the time we reached France, Mary had gotten the call. Heather and the girls had arrived.

Excited girls to see each other again:

It was decided to walk back to America and eat at the Liberty Inn before heading back to the resort.

Mary and I shared:

The girls got these:

We made a stop in the new restroom:

Heather had parked at the Boardwalk and we walked there to get in her van to drive back to OKW:

Up next, some fun in the pool on our last night at the World

Don't you just love Dismeets! No one else understands our love for Disney like they do ;) We love WS touring as for me it never gets old. Your post on the movie in China makes me want to return to see it again in December as I have only seen it once.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Yay for another DIS meet. Looks like fun! Cute picture of everyone!

The world showcase looks really empty! Nice!

I love the American Adventure! One of my favs. It's especially good if you need a quick nap!

Great pictures of the girls!

Nice meet with Bob & Carolyn. I love seeing the faces behind the names! :)

How do the girls do with the meets? I'm sure they are used to them and probably enjoy them almost as much as you do. Especially the one with the other girls- too cute!

What pretty World Showcase pictures. I love the one of the lily pads.

Sa-weet! You hitched a ride back to the resort!

:goodvibes

Hi Kathy! I'm caught up again - I confess I was so far behind I just went to the links. You have been a Mega Updater the past few days! I know your trip is coming up, so you want to get done.

Lots of rides, and food and hats and DIS meets! Oh My! You had a great end to your park days, except the torture! :rotfl2:

I'm sorry to hear that Alisha is struggling with her health. I hope they can get some answers for her and a treatment plan. I would encourage her to eat clean - no packaged foods with preservatives, dyes, etc. and use organic products on her skin - I'm telling you the food industry is poisoning us! I'll be praying for her. I feel bad that Markie is having so much trouble with his back at such a young age.

If I don't make it back over here before you leave, have a great trip!!!! :yay:

Yay for a DISmeet! Gotta love 'em. We never did explore the China pavilion or the Mexico pavilion on our previous two trips. That's one thing we're gonna try to do on our next trip - slow down and just look around and explore.

Great job on the DIS meet!

We then headed out to tour a bit more of World Showcase.

As others have commented, it really does look empty.

We saw the movie in China.

So the Slow Boat To China actually did take you there?

It was decided to walk back to America and eat at the Liberty Inn before heading back to the resort.

Aw, they got rid of the burger with the pulled pork on top.

Hooray for single digits!

The girls A&E shirts are very cute.

We ate at Coral Reef once in the past and enjoyed it but so many places to eat in EPCOT, makes it hard sometimes to get back to some unless they really, really "wow" you

Love just walking around EPCOT, especially the WS - just so photogenic.

The girls looks so happy to all be together again and just walking together, etc.

Love all the WS photos!! We fell in love with the WS on this day. I think we spent twice as much time in WS, than in Future World during our time at Epcot and we didn't see half of what we could have. Which reminds me... aren't you forgetting a quick impromptu Dis meet in Norway?;) And I was the one who had already had two margaritas!!:rotfl:
