Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Just wanted to share my excitement at having (through Orbitz) grabbed a nice discount to be able to stay at Beach Club for our first time this upcoming Dec 12-18th. Have stayed at Yacht club once in the past and really liked it but have always wanted to try the Beach Club side and the discount made it possible to upgrade from POFQ (which we also love) to Beach Club.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the useful information on this resort. I have enjoyed reading this thread and I've learned so much My family of 4, my sisters family of 5 and my mom will be arriving at the Beach Club in 35 days! 8/30-9/5. My husband and I stayed here 10 years ago on our honeymoon but it was only for 2 nights before we left for our cruise. We didn't get a chance then to really enjoy the resort but we are so looking forward to hanging out at SAB!!

How crowded does SAB get late September into mid October? I was thinking of doing a 2week stay between Poly and BC. Want to do 14-15 days because we are travelling so far from Maui.
It will be me, husband, 8 year old DS and 6 yr old DD. Hubby and I havn't been to WDW since 1996!
I have been a little bummed out about how crowded the Poly pool normally is (from previous Trip reports, worse because of unchecked pool hoppers) and would like to enjoy a nice pool without being *******s to elbows with other people.
We stayed at the Yacht Club last Sept 24th to 28th and we spent every afternoon at SAB. The pool was not crowded at all. Most of the time we were the only ones enjoying the lazy river. :)

Thanks nate, now I will just hope to snag a room with a Balcony. Any advice on which floors tend to have the highest % of full balconies vs floors that don't? thanks

If you are looking for a full balcony, then we suggest that you word your room request "Full balcony please"

If you want to add on that you want a certain location or other request you can do that too.

"Full balcony, please. Upper floor if possible"

There is a floor that doesn't have many full balconies- I can never remember if it is the 2nd or 3rd floor. Someone here will know or maybe you can tell by looking at some of the pictures on Page 1. But on other floors there are both full balconies and smaller ones throughout.

Unfortunate resort design!

;)

@dansdad Beat me to it!

Sort of- Pertinent to this thread because it would involve a stay at the Beach Club...

Mark and I were out celebrating our 29th anniversary over dinner on Saturday and are trying to decide what we want to do for our 30th next year.

Nate will be in college but Ben will be in his second year of high school, so we want to stay within the US or territories with phone service and probably within a few hours of New England. So Hawaii is out.

We talked about the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico. Mark suggested Disney- he hasn't been to the World since 2013.

I seem to remember that there may be a time when you can go to MNSSHP, F&W and possibly the Holiday Party in the same trip if you plan it right. When would that be?

:thanks:

I know I have seen this question answered on this site, but I can't find it. In the past we have always had water sent to the resort. I remember reading that you can buy cases of water at the Marketplace. Is this correct? Thanks!

That would have to be around October 31 thru first week of November.

Hi Dee!

Here is the 2015 Fall/Holiday schedule of events to help you. From these dates, it appears that you can do F&W with MNSSHP or MVMCP but not both? However I totally defer to Teena on this!!

2015

Dee ... looks like you need to check in on November 1st and check out on November 9th ... then you can hit everything except Candlelight. And you can probably schedule one or more of those special dinners at Food and Wine since it goes thru November 16th!!

Awesome! Looks do-able! We wouldn't be able to do the CP, but could potentially get both of the parties in one trip. Although not sure we will want to be away for so long.

Thanks for taking the time to post this year's dates

Woo-hoo! Thanks! We will look into all of this next year to celebrate our July anniversary and October birthdays.

Yes. I believe it is $16 for 24 bottles of Dasani water (20 ounce?)

Really? Was looking for someplace on site for a late dinner but this wasn't yet on my radar. I just checked the menu on all ears and the only burger they show sounds so basic. What makes it so yummy?

I'm not quite sure, but probably the blend of the cuts of beef they use. I'm pretty sure that Crews Cup uses the same kitchen, and grills, as the Yachtsman next door. Every one I've had was grilled to perfection and very juicy. Just our personal opinion, but me, my DW and DS all think they are great!
