Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Getting down to the bottom of the first page, so instead of using one of my bumps just wanted to say that I'm less than 40 hours from getting on a plane and spending 8 nights at the BCVs. Sandwiched with a 1/2 marathon in between! :drinking: All packed and weather looks good for relaxing, but a little on the mild side for running!

I personally would save the few hundred bucks and stay put at the BC. I don't usually pay extra for a view because I'm not in the room enough. We spend a lot of time at the resort but not in our room. Last year we stayed at the BC and were booked in SV but got upgraded to a garden view. The view was lovely but I may have stood/sat on the balcony for a total of 15 mins the whole trip. Also, the BC rooms were just refurbed and they are gorgeous! The YC is undergoing a refurb but there is no guarantee you'll get a refurbed room. Either way, you can't go wrong. The whole YC/BC resort area is fabulous! Have a great trip!

Wow, thank you! How funny that we are practically in the same boat. I've decided to stay put at BC. I'm so looking forward to trying an EPCOT resort. We had dinner at Cape May on our last trip and I fell in love on the spot with the beautiful grounds. I am now going to focus my worries on room requests. Thanks again for your input. Maybe I will see you around the BC. I'll be the one in the Mickey shirt. :teeth:

I've stayed at both YC and BC. I preferred the BC because of the theming and we had a newly renovated room. We had a SV but were upgraded to a pool view. The balcony was of the Juliet type, but that was okay. I thought I'd be disappointed but honestly, in that heat, we weren't hanging out on the balcony. Hanging out took place at the pool.

Happy New Year to all my wonderful Yacht and Beach Club friends.

My many countdown apps inform me that we have 222 days to go before returning to Florida. Meanwhile my bathroom scales inform me that I have 1 stone and 8lbs to loose before I can fit into any of my vacation clothes. :rotfl2:

LOL. I have a short trip planned for May. My goal to lose ten pounds by our January trip will not be met, short of a terrible stomach bug in the next week (which I'd prefer to avoid). I figure it's okay. Even if it's warmer than it will be in Pennsylvania, I'm not going to be wearing shorts. So that ten pound goal has been pushed back to May.

We are very excited to be staying at the YC once again. We will be staying in a CL Lagoon or Pool view room. Are there any photos/views of these rooms from members that I can find easily. I apologize, I tried sorting through this enormous yet helpful thread. Thank you!

No need to go through the entire thread, just page #1. Just about everything you need to know is on page #1. Here is a link to the Yacht Club Room View thread, which is listed there.

Checked in today and got upgraded for our split stay and get to have same room for both reservations. From standard to the BEST water view you can imagine! We just watched illuminations!! Love it here. Wish refill mugs were in a better location but that's the only fault I have found. We do have some things in our room showing wear. Mickeys nose on the lamp is broken off. Our shower curtain liner is half off and holes ripped so can't go on hooks. I'm going to call about that as we flooded the bathroom having a shower. Just little things. Transportation has been great.

The upgrade sounds great. :)

There are three places to get your mug refilled: the Marketplace, Hurricane Hanna's and the Ale and Compass Lounge in the YC. The bartender will refill your mug for you. :)

Will do! I finally caught up here and should be able to update the list, back to page 347  later this morning.

Are you still club level?

:thumbsup2[/QUOTE]

Yes :) Thanks so much and have a great night!!!
YC CL June 9-15
I see that you already updated it so nevermind :o)

:welcome: to this forum!

I'm not sure. Have you tried searching this thread with the room numbers you are interested in as the search word? ( 1509 / 2509 / 3509 ) and ( 1501 / 2501 / 3501 )

FYI- I just tried it with 3509 and only your post and mine showed up. Try the others.

:goodvibes

Thank you. I'll try your suggestion.

page 354-355

We were in room 3565 and it was a lagoon view room with a king bed. This room is a corner room with a standing balcony. . I saw pictures of the room above it and it had a king bed, too.

Do you mind if I copy this above to the BC View thread? That's where I go/send people for room info.

I'll be lurking about the Beach Club and area on Sunday. Most likely wearing a light blue shirt- either my Beach Club resort shirt or my Stormalong Bay Synchronized Pool Tube Team shirt. Look down to find me. I'm short! If I see someone hobbling around I'll call out "PCFriar???"

:goodvibes:

Can you please add us to the BOG list?- BC SV June 16-23. Thanks!

I know you have posted, but here's an official :welcome:

Absolutely!!!

:cool1:

Can you add me to the Be Our Guest list? Aug 15-19 at the Beach Club.

Will do!

Thanks for checking in with a short review. Congrats on the upgrade!!! I hope you will share some view pictures with us when you return home.

:)

Ok so Disney called us They are starting YC CL room renovations and wanted us to move. We are now at the beach club. We arrive tomorrow night and I can't wait!

Thanks so much for letting us know! I'm glad to hear the YC room renovations will be starting soon.

Feel free to you whatever I say. ;)

I posted pictures and information about room 3565 in the BC room view thread. You might want to add the link to the list of lagoon view rooms.

Thanks!!!

Yeah, I'm really behind in updating the links on the view threads. :sad2:

However I am very proud that I spent some time yesterday updating the Club Level Post 12 on Page 1 yesterday- added the pictures of the new YC lounge and some food pictures and moved some stuff around.

I really need to get off the 'net and do some work around the house. I have a bunch of half-finished cleaning/organizing projects from over the break, I need to go grocery shopping and make sure I have instructions for the family while I am away, and I NEED TO PACK!!!

:woohoo:

Our first stay at Beach Club at the end of the month! Lagoon or Pool View. Anything we should know in advance? :tinker:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.

If a full balcony is important to you, call in and add it as a request to your reservation and indicate this if you are doing the online checkin.

Familiarize yourself with the BC Secret exit/entrance near room 1501 which will bring you steps away from the International Gateway. Depending on where your room is, this may be a great way in and out of the resort

Read Posts 1, Post 13 and Post 14 of this thread for more info and some other great suggestions.

:thumbsup2

What is the number to call to request a full balcony - just the regular reservation line or is there a number to reach the Beach Club directly? Thanks!
