The upgrade sounds great.

There are three places to get your mug refilled: the Marketplace, Hurricane Hanna's and the Ale and Compass Lounge in the YC. The bartender will refill your mug for you.

What is the number to call to request a full balcony - just the regular reservation line or is there a number to reach the Beach Club directly? Thanks!

Regular reservation line- I have the number on Page 1 of the thread in either Post 13 or 14, but you probably have it or can find it quickly.

I would start with trying to arrange the changes before you leave. If it doesn't work out the way that you need it to then plan b would be to try and make the changes while you are at the hotel. Good luck with your plans and have a fantastic trip.

This time of year it's usually 10A-8P. But they can adjust that, so if it's different maybe someone who is there now can correct me.

Hi all! Just back from 6 great days at the BC. We were in room 3711-standard view room with a full balcony and a daybed. Had a lovely roof view that included a partial long distance view of SAB. Could see the high fireworks from HS. First time in a standard view and would happily take the same room again. We were lucky to see Teena for a few minutes on our last day. We will miss seeing her in the lobby in the future but wish her the best going forward! Parks were crowded most days just as we expected. Sad to return to the 20 degree weather at home and snow but glad to have had our time enjoying the Florida warmth for a few days.

So we checked in. We were supposed to be club level at yacht club. They switched us to the beach club yesterday. They forgot to add our club level to that tho so we got a room on the first floor looking over the lagoon. And for Inconvenience of them forgetting our club level service they gave a $100 credit! We are room 1559 with a lagoon view.

Ok so Disney called us They are starting YC CL room renovations and wanted us to move. We are now at the beach club. We arrive tomorrow night and I can't wait!

Oooh, if they are starting now, I wonder if they will be finished by August (it sort of follows the Beach Club timeline).

I hope so, but that timeline seems ambitious. August would be only 7 months. I think BC took October to August. Probably more like autumn to be done with YC.

Thanks for posting that! That is the first confirmation I have seen about the shuttle service for the slide for this years work. I'll add the info to the Jib Slide Post 3.

The slide always seems to need more work than the pool.

Checked in today and got upgraded for our split stay and get to have same room for both reservations. From standard to the BEST water view you can imagine! We just watched illuminations!! Love it here. Wish refill mugs were in a better location but that's the only fault I have found. We do have some things in our room showing wear. Mickeys nose on the lamp is broken off. Our shower curtain liner is half off and holes ripped so can't go on hooks. I'm going to call about that as we flooded the bathroom having a shower. Just little things. Transportation has been great.

That's awesome about the upgrade!! May I ask- did you do online check in? I wonder the best way to improve odds for an upgrade or pixie dust- mostly for my mom who will be coming with us- her first trip in over 15 years!! Plus- who doesn't love an upgrade! Have an AWESOME vacation!!

So my online check in will be creeping up on me pretty soon. Since I've never been to Disney maybe some people can give me tips about any requests I should make? I'll be staying at the Yacht Club in April for my honeymoon. We have a garden/woods view room booked. Are there any particular room requests we should make to try and make things even better?

If there is an option for close to lobby or close to transportation then I would check that. You want to be as close to the lobby as you can get for convenience. If you decide to call in your requests the you want a room near the wedding gazebo. It will give you a chance of a lagoon view.

You can add special requests to your reservation anytime after it has been booked--sooner rather than later is better.

I was actually wondering about this too. Does doing online check in make it less likely for some of that extra pixie dust to find it's way to you?
