Depends..although I haven't had photopass yet just marathonfoto, but at the 10k in Jan the cm didn't actually take the picture at one stop on my camera, which I checked as I started to run off so ran back to have her do it again (don't think the other runners in line were happy with me). SOmetimes they, the pros, loose your photo or can't read your bib so you may never get it, especially now with photopass since they don't have an unidentified section to look through. So for me I'll continue to run with the small camera as back up to photopass, where photopass is back up to my camera. I don't want to wait 10 min for someone and be stuck with nothing to show.

My PhotoPass pictures were LIGHT YEARS better than anything I ever got from MarathonFoto. :)
 




So I finally stumbled in here, not sure how I missed it before. I haven't been getting Disney email updates, turns out Disney is very smart (and kinda a jerk at the same time) and there's only 1 email option, everything or nothing. I thought I had emails turned on in my profile for updates, but when I just looked it was off and if you want updates you gotta get all the marketing crap along with it. (Which I get anyway, so I'm confused how I'm getting that but not any race info?)
I've turned it on but I've probably missed info about the race. I periodically check the rundisney website and saw the Guide and Course map is up. Reading the guide I see they changed the info about the gift cards being e-mailed rather than mailed. Can anyone who's got the gift card through email let me know what email address it came from?
The guide says it'll be sent to your Active.com email, which for me is the same as my Disney.go.com email so I hope I'd have gotten it anyway. But I'd like to make sure it doesn't go to SPAM or something.
I've been watching the mail box for the past week hoping for the gift card or race ticket. At least now I know why the GC hasn't shown up :)

It's not the actual card...it's an email saying we'll get the card. They just just be pushing them out in batches.

Here's the text of the email:

Hello Ariel484,

Your race registration included access to a special post-race party and a Disney Gift Card.

We wanted to let you know that you will be receiving an electronic Disney Gift Card from this address during the week of Oct. 24, 2016. The email will contain a barcode and all the information you need to redeem your card anywhere Disney Gift Cards are accepted.

We hope that your training for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend presented by MISFIT™ is going well and we look forward to seeing you soon! For any questions regarding the event weekend, please continue to check www.rundisney.com.

At WDW? The first Glass Slipper challenge. My little sister moved to LA so we've been doing more Disneyland races lately, although my last race there was the Star Wars race last year.

Getting excited, and totally nervous, now - only a couple weeks to go!

Meanwhile, I was cold! And hobbling a bit (but best believe I finished!). I am often cool at disney runs actually. The only time I wasn't was PHM 2015 and maybe dark side. And I live in Cleveland, imagine how rough my winter training is! I like warm weather, it's just the sun that drains me.

I just got mine today. But now it looks like they switched to "Hello Runner" instead of screwing up names!
 
FINALLY bought my flights today! They're at different dates/times than I really wanted, but I'll make it work for super cheap flights ($72 rt from Philly!).
