Yeah, the Raise site is definitely down right now. Tried on multiple browsers.
I tried to do this, and raise crashed!
Discover card is giving 5% back at wholesale clubs this quarter, which often sell discounted GC's. So I bought 3/$143 at Sam's club...which equates to about a 5% discount. then when my statement cut, I took the 5% cash back and applied it to my bill. basically got 10% off.
Raise flash sale
$10/$100
Code: FLASH10
The WF offer is good if you're making $500 direct deposits (i.e. not just transferring money in from another account). Make sure that you understand the fine print because banks tend to trip you up with those things. However, I agree with the idea of keeping your cash fluid until the time when you actually need to pay for your trip.not precisely gift card deals but i'm going to try a couple of things to max out my gift card rewards. i'm already buying disney gift cards with the target card with the 5% discount. to prepare for that i plan on socking away about $500 a month going forward to finance the fall trip.
welp. wells fargo is running a deal where they'll give you $250 if you open a checking account with them by Feb. 17. the requirement for the cash is a $500 deposit within 60 days. there is a $10 a month fee... unless you deposit $500 that month. and you can close the account anytime.
so that looks like the place to hold my cash till I'm ready to stock up on disney gift cards to pay for the trip. i feel a lot better about doing it this way since, obviously, once you buy the card it must go to disney. this means i've got the money available for unforseen circumstance.
add to that i just got the disney visa card offer where you'll get the $200 gift card if you spend $500 in the first three months. there a few other small rewards with that card when you are at the parks but i mostly want the signup deal. i'll just add that card to the pile of ones i've purchased for the trip and pay through the disney vacation account to get the $20 card for each $1000 worth of purchases through it.
anyone got suggestions of tweaking this plan a bit i'm welcome to hear it although i'm really nearing the point where it will become too much effort for the savings involved.
You can load your card into your payment method on the app. It will give you a bar code that you can scan at checkout. I've done it at the self scan several times. Is there a way to pay in store at target with a gift card on the app?
I thought I seen something like that mentioned but I'm not sure that is what was actually being talked about.

Saw the Raise sale and immediately bought $400 in Target gift cards. Now, I'm stuck! I'd never had an issue in the past buying from Target.com. No idea what to do.
You can no longer buy Disney GC's from Target.com and pay with a Target GC. Most stores do still allow you to use a GC to purchase GC's. I would use self check-out if that is available to you.

In the Target APP, click the menu button, click on Account, click on My Gift Cards, click on the Plus sign "+" in the upper right corner, input your gift card number and access code. Your card will show up when complete.

I'd also suggest that when you're at self checkout, use the scanner gun to scan the barcode on the Disney Gift Card (the large one on the actual card) and the barcodes in the Target app on your smart phone (and maybe turn up the screen brightness for better contrast). Using the scanner gun makes it a lot easier to read the barcodes than using the built-in table scanner.

The Disney Premier Visa has an annual fee of $49. If it is not waived with the offer you received, make sure that you consider that.
Make sure that your DVA has been open for at least 120 days before you pay for your trip in order to qualify for the bonus. You don't have to fund it with a lot of money. Just open by putting the minimum in and leave it the or cancel the deposit immediately (it still keeps the account open).
So true! Love the scanner gun. Hate the hovering employees.Agree with this. Scanner gun works well. Helps also to completely act like you know what you are doing. Otherwise the Target cashier is immediately in your personal space.
Our Targets around here don't have self checkouts, I didn't know targets anywhere did thatI'd also suggest that when you're at self checkout, use the scanner gun to scan the barcode on the Disney Gift Card (the large one on the actual card) and the barcodes in the Target app on your smart phone (and maybe turn up the screen brightness for better contrast).
