Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We will be doing a split stay with Contemporary atrium CL and Polynesian GV CL. (4 day/6day)
The first two days at Poly are in a standard room because CL wasn't available. I check every day in hopes that it will pop up but we will be there in 6 days. Anyone ever have any luck with a last minute change like that? It's not that big of a deal but it would be nice to settle in those 6 nights without having to move since we are already splitting with Contemporary. Seems like I had a really hard time with reservations this time around. Not a lot of availability. Also, with the system being out of whack do you think I should call anyway in case it's not accurate? Thanks!!

My gut says to call. I'm not so sure I trust what the website shows for availability in the wake of that IT update. On Monday I was trying to add DW & DD to an upcoming reservation and the website wouldn't let me do it (although this should be among the simplest tasks ever). I ended up having to call and it was around 45 minutes between being on hold, the system not working for the CM, her having to get guest relations involved, etc.

You'd like to think they could somehow get you in for the those two nights, but you never know. You might have to pay rack rate, FYI.

Sounds like a fun split BTW, minus the 2 non-CL nights part. :-)

Just snagged a room at BWI for F&W race weekend. This is OT for the thread but if anyone has any logistical details for the run, I'd appreciate it.

I know GADad's wife had a trip earlier this year or last, and I think it was pixarmom who did multiple race weekends so I'll get the search action going.

Any other details welcome!

I'm not a runner but why not try a 5K during F&W right!

I can't believe all the IT problems happening right now! I guess I can set aside an hour to call You never know until you try. Ugh, it would kill me to pay rack rate.
We are really looking forward to getting there and will be happy even if we have to suffer (lol, not really) ( ok, a little) for two days in a non club level room.
Thanks!

Yes, I would call.

Yeah, you might be in a tight spot when it comes to the discount side of it. Mind if I ask, I assume all of your reservations are room only reservations? AP discount / general public discount / other? Just curious.

I've done that race the past 4 years and it's very fun. The race bus will pick up at the conference center not the normal bus stop. The only con is that it usually shares a bus with BC/YC and BWI is the last stop. 2 years ago, 3 buses came and were completely full so no one got on and the bus coordinator was about to have a stroke. She got us 2 busses just for BWI guests and we all made it in plenty of time. FYI, they are chartered busses not normal WDW busses. Being on CL is a nice perk, although it won't be open pre race but it's great to come back and have food and drink all ready for you.

Definitely call and keep checking. You're not within the cancellation period for the Poly part of your stay, so someone might still cancel a room-only reservation. Maybe you can work out 5 nights Contemporary and 5 nights Poly. I have found a few times that when I call the availability is different, especially when I am trying to make a change to an existing reservation.

Good luck!

I'm going to call today. Thanks for the advice on maybe switching to 5 and 5.

Hi all! We are getting ready for our very first stay at the Beach Club :stitch2:- I can't believe it's almost here and we will be there next Wednesday! looking forward to bringing my little guy to the kiddie area with the sand bottom - he loves playing in sand! Quick (and maybe silly) question for those who have recently been - by any chance would there be chicken nuggets in the club lounge? It seems like this is the only food my DD eats these days -other than PB&J sandwiches! TIA!

Hi! I'll be staying at WL the last week of July for my first ever CL experience! So excited! It's always been a dream of mine to stay CL. I turned 40 this year and wanted to do something special for myself. My sister will be going with me and we both love WDW! We already love WL and have stayed there on 3 past trips. I'm just wondering if it will be hard to go back to staying in a regular room after we've stayed CL. Any thoughts?

We stayed CL at WL last month and I definitely think it will be hard to go back to a regular room! It's just not in the budget next year though, so I guess we will have to make do with being commoners again. Lol.

Thank you! Very excited to have a bonus F&W weekend and to score a BWI room.

Yes it is!! We were all set in a standard Poly room for our upcoming trip, and then DH started "finding" money we could put towards upgrading to CL. We did switch to CL after he identified enough cash to cover the difference. (Now if I could just make him find that much cash in that period of time for our day-to-day budget...)

We stayed poly cl last yr. This year we had a regular BC room booked. I thought it would be fine but my kids were disappointed and so was I. I upgraded us to cl, haha. Dh would have been fine, or so he says.

Our last trip was not CL. I ordered a bunch of drinks and snacks from Prime Now and set up our our mini-bar in the room. That helped ease the pain.

They had them up in the lounge last week, frequently, but not every night. They also have a great "make your own" PBJ setup for kids, along with sliced apples and caramel dipping sauce.

Well, DSS has (fingers crossed their info was accurate) helped me again. I sent an email about questions about the dessert party for MVMCP this year and they got back to me with info that was not available on the website and put a note in the reservation about our allergies. I'm REALLY liking how fast they respond. (Although living in CA I wish they were open later into the evening instead of being closed by 2pm PST!)
