How tall is Universe of Energy? I keep reading coaster, so then is it really tall enough for a coaster. I'm having a hard time picturing a coaster in there. I know it's tall but is it as tall as Rockin or Spaceship Earth? Or more like Mine Train coaster/darkride is what people are thinking, so not as tall?

An expansion will be built behind UoE.

For me I'm OK with Guardians. I have never been in Universe of Energy and I even worked in Epcot for a year so Ellen is not anything I'm going to miss.

A coaster is cool as there isn't any others in Epcot. Seems though that in the very long term, we won't be seeing much more Marvel in WDW thankfully because of the Universal Clause and that area doesn't lend itself to much more space

Not that anything is going to happen but looking at the concept art again and rteetz's map, I'm a tad upset we're loosing another potential pavilion space

One thing I haven't seen anywhere about the Ratatouille ride: Will Impressions de France movie survive, or is it in the footprint of the ride? I would love to see a Robo map highlighting the movie's location in the pavilion.

Rat is an entirely new show building, so everything existing in France doesn't need to be affected.

Does anyone know what the last day to ride UoE and GMR will be? Is it open on August 13 or is aug 13 the first day it is closed? We are planning to go to DHS on aug 13 and I REALLY want to ride GMR again.....

Aug. 13th will be the final day of operation.

The Ratatouille ride in Paris is one of the most fun rides I've ever been on

It will be a great addition to any park

DLP built a new 'Parisian' area to the Studios Park for the ride, along with the Chef Remy Bistro (which is also very cool)

A perfect sync with the France pavilion

Is it confirmed that the Ratatouille France Pavilion ride will be the same as the Disneyland Paris Ratatouille ride?

I'm not well-versed in all of the closed/empty pavilions in Future World. But I'm wondering, why close a perfectly good ride (Ellen's Universe of Energy) and stick a new ride in there when there are other empty buildings crying out to be utilized?

I believe in the presentation it was worded as it is the same ride - now, could there be small differences? Sure, but for the most part at least it is the same ride
That was my impression as well... he talked about Ratatouille being "the most popular ride in DLP"... leads me to think it will be the same -- of very similar -- in WDW.

Finally the World Showcase can be a bit more exciting to kids! Another ride in that long, boring walk will be amazing. You can still celebrate the culture of these countries and have fun attractions.

Guardians of the Galaxy replace Ellen's Energy Adventure? Sounds exciting, but feels like Epcot/Future World will be like DHS for a while where it just loses its theme and is a mish-mash of attractions. How it fits in with Test Track and Mission Space is beyond me.

I'd also like to point out that I think what Disney did with Norway was PERFECT. Frozen is very low key in the pavilion. Even the sign for the attraction was a small wood sign IIRC. They kept the architecture similar to how it was previously. It's now a pavilion that the whole family can enjoy.

Growing up our family would go to Disney with a 15+ group. Most of the family wouldn't go to World Showcase since there were never any rides for the kids. My dad and I however would always go there since we really liked the countries. But the same can't said about most younger kids.

There hasn't been a full new country added to World Showcase for 29 years. That was just 6 years after Epcot opened. They don't seem to be in any hurry to add any new ones, either. I'd much rather see them use a country expansion space for adding a nice, big ride like this to an exiting country rather than seeing these spaces remain empty. I am, however, entirely opposed to wasting a country expansion space for a character meet and greet area like they did just last year. That was a complete waste. There are 5 country expansion spaces left. It would be nice to get one or two additional countries but I would love to see at least 2 more good rides added on to existing pavilions in World Showcase.

Brazil is still said to be coming pre 2021.

Here's hoping the Guardians Ride will at least make an attempt and edutainment. . . Not that I'm going to be seeing it anytime soon! Another attraction closed for my upcoming November trip. . .:rolleyes1

Let me know when you find much of anything that pertains to Norway.
