So far this is what I can remember from the CL cocktail hour. There were a couple of kid friendly items each night. They kept the food refilled. Soups were all chilled and very good. We really enjoyed all of the choices.

RPC cocktail hour partial list:

Monday: beef skewers with herbs
Mushroom stuffed with fontina and sausage
Vichyssoise
Chopped Greek salad
Kids- corn dogs and uncrustables

Tuesday: Greek meatball with spinach and feta
Chicken sausage with diced peppers
Gazpacho shot with a shrimp and cucumber (spicey)
Kids- Chicken nuggets

Wednesday: pork belly with mandarin oranges
Potato and beef croquette
Shrimp with avocado and fried plantain slice
Crab and corn chowder
Kids- Mac and cheese
Crime brûlée with caramel corn prepared by chef

Thursday: crab cakes
Pulled pork and red onion on polenta
Hummus and avocado andwoth pita chip
Roasted red pepper soup
Salmon with miso glaze on rice cake
Kids: meatballs with red sauce
Uncrustables

There were also breadsticks, bread, cheeses, grapes, grilled vegetables, and broccoli slaw with cranberries.

Wines offered: Pinot noir, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, and sparkling white. One night they had a cocktail of Rosa regale, grand marnier, cranberry juice and perrier but it was not very popular.

Server said that they change things up frequently so this should give you an idea. Some of the items were really great.

Now you had me wishing I had written down the menu items in my vacation journal! Oh well, I guess I'll have to schedule another trip. (;

Thanks for posting this list! Does anyone have any experiences with food allergies at the RPC club? I just booked a club level stay in the main building, but I am allergic to a couple of things. Any information you have would be useful!

Arrival Saturday 5/26 at 11;30 am. We were going to head up to rpc alone but the cm at the outside desk walked right over to us and asked if checking in and then took us up.

Perfect timing since food was just put out. Can I tell you hope much we loved the soups and meats for midday? Yum!

Of course I needed a champagne and another nice lady was there over the weekend and we seemed to be in the lounge with champagne more than once :)

Room ready text at 12 just as we finished eating and exploring, DS had just been to SL in January with me and sissy and did NOT want to go to gf again. The sofas on 5th floor and music in the evening changed his mind:daisy:

Haha, funny story :

I woke up Monday our going home day. I had a nightmare we left a day early and in the dream when I woke up I was so mad I missed out my last day . Then in real life when I tell dh he says “ can we get a room for today since ME at 5p? What are our options ?”

Yep we booked a std gv room with AP discount . We got 9521 in BPK. Dan and Mejay at cm desk were helpful with this . FYI I had to book myself since they don’t have access to discounts . However at 8am they guaranteed if I booked I could get a room immediately .

So we had breakfast with @Dispro1 and dh and then packed up and took bags to airline checkin . Then checked out our new room and left our carry ons.

Headed to MK and then relaxed in room and over at lounge the rest of the day .

Oh, Trish! What a wonderful stay and what a wonderful idea you had for the late departure on that last day! Thank you for taking the trouble - and the photos - to record all the yummies of the RPC Lounge and your comfy room. We enjoy that side of the Main Building, too!

When I switched from TPV to std rpc a week prior I saved $300 so I didn't feel to bad "wasting" $ for the day. Honestly it really was nice. I had a short rest and a shower in the afternoon. I also got to try a new building. I was not as wiped out at the airport and drive home this way too.

DH and Ds kept saying they had a great trip and the room for last day really was the icing on the cake of our family , rest and regroup weekend. :)

It looks like you had a great trip. It would be wonderful to stay at the RPC. :) We love to hang out in the lobby to listen to the orchestra but it would be a lot nicer to hear it from the lounge. :)

We had a room close to that one in BPK. I recognize the pine tree. Our room was on the other side of the tree with a nice view of the Poly. :)

Hello fellow GF fans....
So enjoying all of Trish's wonderful pics...they r almost as good as being there! Thanks T ..:goodvibes..loved all of the texts too...thanks for virtually taking us along!!

We'll be at Citrico's on 7/3 for dinner and to view the special fireworks show. We did this last year and had a great time, so we decided to repeat it again. We booked a last minute trip yesterday, staying at YC but coming over to the GF for dinner. We had no trouble grabbing a taxi at GF after the fireworks last year so decided to try it again this year. :)

This sounds like such a grand way to spend the evening! Enjoy!! Maybe you will decide to stroll on over to the Poly afterwards...lotsa DIS friends will be there! :dance3:

Our 180 is tomorrow.....far to long of a wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woohoo!! :cheer2:...Once you hit 180 the days start to pass more quickly..

Wish we had more rpc time together in Dec but it sure was fun to be together both bwi and gf!

Next, poly ! This polyprincess: can't wait!

Oh and you are welcome!

Yee Haw! Maybe a little too redneck for GF but so happy, just had to share. We are going to Disney for Christmas!!! And the best news? I saved a freaking fortune! We are staying Dec 24- Jan 4. I am attending a conference ( 3 mornings 8-12) and we get conference pricing, $310 a night, regular price is $800 those nights. Sitting thru a few lectures while my family sleeps a few days is a small price to pay for those kinds of savings! Thanks for letting me share, my hubby was just " We are going to Disney again"...The struggle is real! LOL!
