Booking through Costco?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, so feel free to move...

We are planning a trip to WDW for June 2019. Me, DH, DS will be 8, other DS will be 5.

This year Costco had some really great summer deals, which has us thinking of booking through them. We are Executive Members so could get cash back.

Does anyone know approximately how far in advance they release their deals? They have one up right now good through 12/31/18.

I am a planner like everyone else, so waiting makes me nervous. We used a family friend TA last time, so I can book through her again, but I would feel bad booking a room through her and then later transferring it to Costco...

(We would want a room in Mighty Ducks at ASMov if we did room-only. Hockey kids here lol)

I don't think that you can book most Disney resorts through Costco. The only one I have ever seen available is Saratoga Springs.

I would give CostcoTravel a call asking when 2019 packages will be released.
I once booked a Disneyland package through CostcoTravel and it was a great deal!

Rdaky, this summer they had a Swan/Dolphin package. We would only consider a Costco deal that was a resort that included buses/EMH etc...

Was it cheaper than booking with a Discount thru Swan/Dolphin?

They have had Swan/Dolphin for several years. Saratoga Springs is now offered as well. Both have buses/emh. Swolphin doesn't have full Disney run benefits, but it's possibly better depending on your needs. We did the swan pkg thru costco, and it was smooth as silk, start to finish. A+ and easy as pie. Doing it again soon.

I didn’t price it out meticulously, but it included park hoppers, fireworks view room upgrades, etc. I am quite sure it saved a decent anount when looking at what was included (I forget what else and the deal is gone now).

You can't book a room with a TA then transfer it to Costco.

Costco does have deals, but they won't help you with any of your planning or if there's a problem. They are also limited as to what they offer. It's unlikely you'll be able to book ASMo with Costco.

You can go on the Costco site and see what their prices are to compare. Their pkg prices can change depending on seasonal offers. As I've found with other costco products, don't overlook included extras.

I know I can’t get ASMov through Costco, that is just where we would stay if not booking through Costco. The family friend TA complicates things as I would hate to cancel reservation made with her in favor of something else.

@Kamy04 Keep an eye on the Discount Resort Code sub-forum here. If you spot a better deal, ask your TA to rebook your trip so that you can take advantage of any deals that are offered. You can also periodically check Special Offers on Disney’s website. If you see one and alert your TA to it, you should be able to use it for your reservation. :)

Only thing I’ve booked thru Costco is car rental. Really good rates, and their extras are free extra driver and sometimes upgrades.

That's not a Disney resort, though. They might have Disney perks but it's not a Disney resort.

We've book swan/dolphin package through costco a couple times and enjoyed our stay. The location and cost really can't be beat IMO. The best deal i've seen was during costco 12 days of travel deal sale that start on 11/30/17. It included $100 resort credit and upgrade to balcony room on top of the usual extras. It came out ~$2900 (base tickets and room) for 2 adults and 2 kids traveling in July 2018 for 6 nights.
The package includes hopper tickets but there is an option to modify to base tickets lowering the over all price. While it includes most disney perks like EMH and ability to book fastpass at 60 days, magical express IS NOT included and you will need to arrange your own transportation to/from airport.

Been eyeing and viewing these deals a while. Can I get dining plan on it?

Haven't booked Disney through Costco, but we did a cruise and parents /sister overseas trips. They are fantastic and will work out any issues you have from start to finish.

I had an onboard credit not showing up- while still in Ft Lauderdale I called Costco who put me on hold and called Celebrity and got issue worked out- so they do help if problems.

I'd have no issues booking Disney with them!
