I love credit cards so much!

Oh...I’ve added my cards but I didn’t realize you have to choose which one your using
You don't have to choose which one you are using. I have 4 cards linked and use the one that is best for that offer- Staples, AmEx since I did have the 10% off deal, Walgreen's FR for 5X, CVS, CIU to help meet MSR and 1.5X. Once you link the offer, you can choose any of the cards you have set-up.

I got the SPG business card on April 18. They say that I didn't meet the minimum for the bonus and they won't budge on it. I got the personal Chase Marriott in April 2017 and closed it April 2018 to avoid the annual fee. I wanted to get more Marriott/SPG points. Do I have any options? I haven't been keeping up with the changes regarding Marriott/SPG cards. I am hoping to not get any new personal cards right now. Thanks.

Well that's just bogus, another mark for 'hate' column in the love/hate Amex relationship.

You'd be an interesting DP for the Marriott Biz. You'd have to wait 90 days after closing the SPG Biz to apply but since you never received a welcome bonus for it you shouldn't be locked out for the 24 months. (in theory, according to the language)
This blog post made a chart to work out the new restrictive bonus language post-merge: https://frequentmiler.boardingarea.com/2018/07/30/navigating-marriotts-byzantine-credit-card-rules/

You can also transfer Amex MR points or Chase UR points, meanwhile. And with the death of so many good things from Chase, you can reevaluate your 5/24 need too, if that's what is holding you back from personal cards. :)

I get that error with trying to add Amex cards but Visa work fine for me.
I tried Amex first, then two different Visas. And I know I linked a card before when I was considering doing the Walgreens offer, although I didn't end up using it.

Perhaps that's the same issue I just ran into, I posted right before you. Perhaps the app is just being weird.

Glad I'm not the only one having issues (well, that's kind of selfish I guess). Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

Probably the same source that everyone else is using but I thought the part about the ThankYou Points and Conexions was interesting.

Makes me happy we invested in DVC this year. Of course I like to go so much that UR points were my fall back option for more trips.

On the ticket and AP voucher front I have now 5 without expiration dates 7 day PH's and 5 AP vouchers. It is so bad. I have flirted with the idea of buying more AP vouchers while they have the DVC Gold AP deal. (And I am renewing our AP's for this year anyway in December).

@Haley R your thread on December popped up on the Disboards email they send out daily as the trending thread of the day. You are a big deal!
This is actually a separate article that I hadn't seen yet. These provide additional independent confirmations of the issue. (Not that we needed more proof...but it provides it). They were insightful articles too - thanks for sharing.

LOL oh boy...

Double dip is dead. AU bonuses on CSP are dead. Some people are having one of their DD cards canceled. And most fun of all, Chase removed Disney as an option for redeeming URs with through CSR/CSP/CIP.

Ummmm - there may be a small truth to that statement...but honestly if you haven't hit a ton of Chase biz cards and are keeping the right pace with Chase, I wouldn't be scared.

Thank you. I have zero Chase Biz cards (Amex, now that's another story LOL) and I haven't had a new Chase card since May of 2017.

So after I posted that, I actually made a frustrated, last ditch effort to get my points. It took about an hour, but I got a supervisor on chat and they said that they will be giving me the bonus. Should post in 7-10 days. We will see.

I have been away from this thread all summer and see that there have been a lot of changes, but I don't think I have the will to go back and see everything that has transpired. If you don't mind, could you recap major Chase changes beyond the no double dip and no UR on Disney? I never used either of those things, except buying Disneyland tickets once, so not sure if there is anything else in your "death of so many good things from Chase" that I would be too upset about. Thanks!

Hmm well. I thought my RMN offer worked. I've never done it before so someone tell me what I'm missing. My CF was linked to my RMN, I selected the Walgreens offer earlier, and I am almost positive it said I had $10 pending just a few ago. Now it says $0 pending and when I go to the Walgreens offer again, it asks me to link a card as though I never had CF connected.

Is anyone having problems adding a card to the RMN offers or is it just me? I tried three different cc's and several different offers but received an error that it couldn't be added at this time, to try back in a few minutes. :confused3

I kept having weird glitches this morning but would close out and then go back in and it eventually all worked and everything is pending.

Did you do just a GC at Home Depot? I could easily get some DIY stuff there but it's more fun to use these offers on GC's :D
I did do a gift card! I am always buying house stuff there too, so I hope they extend this!

There are often really good deals on sams memberships. Just keep your eyes open.

@DisneyMandC I agree with the above! Between offers and coupons from Sam's and an Amex offer, my membership was practically free (my OOP was something like $2). I buy Disney GC's from them all the time, plus I've found plenty of other items I like buying from them that Costco doesn't carry.

Wow, hopefully you will get the points. Do you know what the issue was? Did you meet msr spend too late?

Those are not as easy to get as the Amex are with a "business" are they?

What’s your */24 status? What cards have you gotten from all issuers, say, in the last 6 months? Do you have any Chase biz cards? What percentage is you total credit lines on cards with Chase (personal and biz) vs. total household income (or whatever you put down as income on your Chase apps).

Generally, if you’re under 5/24, haven’t been opening too many cards reported to your credit reports in the past 3-6 months, have total credit lines on your Chase cards of less than 50% of reported income (the lower the better), it shouldn’t be too hard.

Several people here have 3 Chase biz cards as a sole proprietor with a “business.” It gets tougher from there, largely because the deeper you get into churning, the more accounts and inquiries you’ll have on your credit reports, and the more credit relative to income you’ll likely get extended from Chase. At some point around or after 50%, Chase will decide they’ve extended too much credit to you; so to increase your chances at automatic (even if not instant) approval, you should proactively keep your Chase credit limits low and in check.

Glad to read this update. I'm curious if the issue was timing (AmEx saying the spending wasn't complete within the 3 months) or whether AmEx wasn't counting certain purchases.

I agree with the previous poster -- AmEx is racking up reasons not to like them lately.

They said that I had cash equivalents. Which is true because I funded a BMO checking and savings for $1k each. But before the bonus period ended, I contacted them to ask if I had met the requirements and they said yes at the time. So I relied on that statement and so I didn't spend another $2k.
