Dancing With the Stars - Fall 2018

As bad as I feel for Milo & Evanna not rightfully winning. I'm glad their own heads & hearts are in a good place and not NEEDING this win as a pathetic substitute for something else.

True. We know Milo has his mama bear to lift him up.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

And he will have a successful career ahead of him as many people already said.

Evanna too. I think Keo really helped her grow and have a bigger range. We may see her acting in more things.

Alexis seems to have a good head on her shoulders and good business sense.

I think most of us have voted for our favorites that didn't dance that well, in the beginning none of them dance that well but I start voting for who I think is the best dancer by week 4. Just a thought but maybe if a couple hasn't gotten at least 3 7's by week 4, they should be eliminated.

I have been reading more on FB and people saying that they were glad that Sharna finally won a season. But I'm wondering how that win feels for her when she knows it really wasn't based on Bobby's dancing or her choreography. And she is always going to have that hanging over her. There is never going to be thinking back to that first amazing win. It will be looking back at the controversial season that Bobby won based on his fan votes and had nothing to do with dancing.

I'm guessing that the judges were forced by the producers to give them the 10s for the freestyle because the producers already knew that Bobby won and nothing would change that. It explains why Carrie Ann started to critique the dance and then stopped and said never mind, it doesn't matter.

I went back and watched their freestyle again and really Bobby doesn't dance at all. He jumps around, points at things, swings his arms, gets picked up, etc. But no dancing. And for that they gave him 10s :(

It was also really telling that they didn't count down the final places, didn't have the other dancers lift them up with the trophy, didn't even show the judges faces or reactions to the announcement.

It was just here is your trophy....cut to credits and commercial (lets end this season as quick as possible and get out of here). Sad all around.

Okay, I had to look up Bobby's "dance" on youtube and all I have to say is...WHAT?!? All I can think is that it was meant to showcase his lack of dancing skills.

Just what I was thinking. This can't be the kind of "win" she wanted.

YES! Finally! Someone who gets what I've been saying. :thumbsup2

I was in such shock, I didn't even notice that stuff at the end was missing. Usually, I love seeing who lifts up the winner. When Derek or Mark won, they would always lift up the other. They are die-hard friends to the end. When Tony won, Val & Maks couldn't wait to lift him & Melissa up. They were so happy for him, even though Val was up against him in the Finals. And of course, when val or Maks wins, they lift each other up.

that makes sense.

if they had gotten all 8's on their freestyle, there would have been even more backlash.

I just think they need to fix the voting. It seems that the people's vote is weighted too heavily.

Honestly, you need to not put ANY stock in the outcome and just enjoy the ride along the way.

Yes. this show seems to have turned out this way. It USED to be somewhat based on the actual dancing & talent of the stars. Now, it's doesn't seem to be even under that "guise" of being a real competition. It's like The Bachelor(ette) now. No one really believes anymore that they will find their spouse at the end. If they do, that's just gravy. But most go on now for the reality TV fame.

I just saw Tony Dovolani with the Fred Astaire dance troop on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! It was so nice to see him again.

Things got messed up when they weren't given a finale show. Not the show's fault, really. The Western half of the US might have voted differently than the Eastern half, but unless they are diehard fans and knew to vote before the show started here they didn't vote. So the power voting by fan's of Bobby in Nashville made a difference.

He must have been so COLD. It was 25 degrees and that didn't include the wind chill. :cold: He probably had to keep moving just to stay warm or he'd freeze in place.

I am very disappointed with the show. I dont always agree with the winner, but at least they could dance. Bobby can’t dance. From what I read the judges gave Bobby 10’s for a sub-par dance....Ugh.
....me too! :badpc:

I knew something was up when they didn't do the countdown from fourth place on up. Ridiculous.

The one thing no one has mentioned so far is that I feel a little bad for Whitney, because she did an EXCELLENT job with Milo as far as not sexualizing him or them as a couple (since he is only 17), and yet still choreographing it so that he was the leader, was the "man" of the pair. That had to be a *very* fine line to walk. (And she's one I've followed for years, because she's so sweet and innocent and funny in the interview segments and then on the dance floor WHAM she turns it ON!!)

Good for you Whitney, too bad you got robbed!
....IMHO, the three of them got robbed!

Yes, I wondered about that too. It's ridiculous to only let the eastern half vote. It probably affected DeMarcus too, during the previous weeks they only let the eastern & central time do live voting. His main fan base is the ‎Denver Broncos, which he won the Super Bowl with. Denver is in mountain time.

If Bobby is as nice a guy as he tries to convey on the radio, then he should have walked over to Milo and handed him the mirrorball trophy. That's what a nice guy would do in this situation. Instead, I saw him mouthing the words "come on, come on" while they were waiting to hear the winners announced. He wanted this so badly even though he knew he couldn't dance. I feel like this is all a big joke to him, a bit for the radio show.
....good point.
