sooooo..... after a wait of 3 months or so I got 10,000 MR points in my biz green charge acct.... I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be 20k(?) but it's been so stinkin long I don't even care anymore and I'm afraid to sm them so they look at all my seldom used accts and shut me down...... I did get the transfer to Hilton offer tho, where 1k=2400k hilton...I'm thinking I might do this,is it considered a good deal?

Maybe a somewhat optimistic DP:

Tried getting SO the Hilton Biz in Oct/Nov got the popup. Put a few thousand across his cards and went for the Blue Biz in December. Also, in January went for the Amex Green. We met the spend for the Blue Biz in December I gave it weeks and the bonus never posted so I reached out and they said he was denied for abuse. We met the spend on the Green a few days ago and the bonus just posted. Idk what is going on with Amex but it seems like even if you get the popup and a denial you can get bonuses after.

That is interesting. Based on a few of the DPs I've seen, once you get a pop-up on one certain card, you won't ever get the bonus on that card even if you don't get the pop-up later. That means I would have expected you to say you got the Hilton Biz later and still didn't get the bonus.

Sucks that it spread to the BBP, but I guess the silver lining is it has one of the lowest SUBs and the real value is in the 2x MR ongoing.

WHY is PNC so slow???:charac2::sad: I feel like this is the slowest timing ever to get some deposits done, approved, verified, and transfer things around! And what is the daily transfer limit? it appears after testing it that it's 1500 every 24 hours? and Why is the transfer going to take like 6 days??? lots of 'why'ning here today on my part:rotfl: that reminds me..... why is ths chase accts site so wonky???? is it just my computer?

Still no bonus for me... Don't know whether I want to push through Chase or Paypal or just give up :sad2:

It sounds like you're finding ways to reach the minimum spend requirements. :)

I'll echo what others have said about using Plastiq for meeting minimum spending requirements if the signup bonus outweighs the cost in using it. @Lain gave you a good rundown on how it works. There is a targeted Plastiq promo for current Plastiq users to introduce new business users to get 10,000 fee free dollars after sending 10,000 through Plastiq. I asked here yesterday if anyone else had gotten it and @wendow said she had, and today I saw @disneybirds mention having it also. The terms on that require that the charges be put on a business credit card (for your business Plastiq account) and the 10,000 needs to be spent by May 31, 2019.
Some details about Plastiq that aren't immediately obvious are: 1) The name on the credit card used for payment does not need to match the name on the Plastiq account, and 2) You can use a business credit card as payment in a personal account.

Just curious if anyone on here has a Plastiq business account. We have a real business and I am tempted to refer our company to Plastiq to take advantage of this promo. We pay most everything with cc already, so the only things I am thinking we could run through Plastiq right now would be car payments and payroll. Just not sure how many red flags that would raise since our business address and home address are the same.

GWR was our go-to for years. It has a really fun swimming pool with slides and a sandy shallow area for little ones, and it's really pretty there. Also on a fantastic beach. Now I want to go back! :rotfl:
I want to go back to Wailea too..... I think my mind has conveniently forgotten the long travel time for us to get there....

Thanks! I've seen similar DPs. A pop up warning or no pop up denial does not mean you won't ever get another bonus from Amex. The no pop up denial is the worst though, because on a lot of the bigger bonus cards, folks will put $3k, $5k, or $10k towards MSR only to find their bonus will never post. And because of Amex's lifetime rule, that means they'll likely never get another chance at the bonus on that card again. And they wouldn't know beforehand, because no pop up warning.

In a crazy coincidence, my employer had just had me renew my background check the week before this GE appointment, and the fingerprinting drill was almost exactly the same with the small screen, four fingers, then thumbs. At my background check it took about 4-5 tries for the officer to capture the print on my left thumb. (Do your prints wear down as you age?) I told the officer it was probably from washing so many dishes. Lol. So at the GE interview I felt pretty familiar with the fingerprint process. I just assumed the question was to determine if I knew what to do for it or if I needed detailed instructions, since there was not follow up question.

Actually that could be :) You can wear down your prints (for lack of a better description) depending on what you do with your hands. When I got my first sets of prints taken I was doing a lot with paper. The first set was done digitally but newish tech, so not the greatest, and I had such a hard time getting usable prints on several fingers. The tech asked if I shuffled paper a lot and said paper workers tend to have harder times because it rubs down the ridges so there's less distinction. Other trades that use their hands for rough work, like a brick layer say, have the same trouble and I can totally imagine dishwashers having the same issue working with the scouring pads and chemicals. It was actually a little concerning the quality of the print they accepted, so I always joked that this would be the reason if you see me pop up on America's Most Wanted or something - that stupid job application that I never ended up accepting but is still in the database and they matched a couple points of a partial print to me from that awful image and now I'm on TV

(Oh, BTW, in case anyone is wondering, your prints will grow back eventually once you stop wearing them away. I've sliced a few fingertips that altered the print for a while too but once it healed up they're back to normal with the faintest of scarring, doesn't even obscure the pattern.)

Applied for the CIP yesterday...Approved today :flower1:

Now to figure out the best way to book our Hotel for an upcoming trip to Chicago. Not sure if best to go the route of say Hotels.com or off of one of the sites where I have some points but certainly not enough for this. And I don't know if I will be earning points anyway off of those sites (Hilton Hyatt or Marriott) because we will be looking for a basic type package (going for low price since 7 days).

And was thinking about hopping on the grAAvy train as well. Though that would be down the road and if still available. Because I would love a card I can pay my mortgage with and earn points for Disney.

But back to the CIP, can I call to have this card expedited? Or is that a no no for a "business"? And if I can call should I request the additional employee card at this point also? It would be for DD.

And thanks for having the links available on Reddit.

This is something u should not to do if your travel is not an actually business trip. Chase will ask you to prove your business trip.
You need to get a CSR for that.

Here is my data point. Booked flights with my CIP (only card I had and making MSR) and had to cancel my trip due to wildfires. I was able to get reimbursed with the trip cancellation benefit. I didn't get asked about business trip or not. I did have to submit my itinerary. I guess my point is it might work on CIP but to be safe use a personal card like CSR. I could have been an exception or got a sympathetic adjuster. I was willing to eat the cost of the plane tickets but it was nice to get reimbursed.

Interesting. Thanks for the DP. I thought that was how it was supposed to work (not needing it to be a business trip), even on the CIP. I really hope it is....as I just charged a lot of travel to the CIP to meet MSR!o_O

According to the CIP's guide to benefits, the only insurance benefit that explicitly states it covers business purposes only is the auto insurance ("you can receive coverage under this benefit while renting primarily for business purposes, renting outside your country of residence for personal reasons or if you do not have automobile insurance"). The auto coverage also only covers the cardholder, and under the section where it talks about how to file a claim, it states you have to provide confirmation that the rental was for business.

But for the rest of the benefits, like trip cancellation/delay/etc., there's no wording about it being only for business. It reads almost identically to the CSR's guide to benefits, in that it covers not only you, but also immediate family for trips paid by the CIP. The only main difference I can see is that it also says it covers employees of the business that holds the CIP. Given there's no explicit statement about having to prove trips are for business like the auto insurance and that it covers family members (it's not like the kids would be on business), I was interpreting it as it was just like the CSR insurance.

At any rate, I hope I won't have to ever use the insurance (knock on wood), but if I did, I'd argue that things should be covered according to what's stated in their own terms of service.

We pay most everything with cc already, so the only things I am thinking we could run through Plastiq right now would be car payments and payroll. Just not sure how many red flags that would raise paying my DH since our business address and home address are the same.

Does your household have only one Plastiq account? If so, maybe you can refer your DH for the business promo? When I went through a dummy sign up to test it, there was a question that asked if the Plastiq account was for Me, My Company, or Both. I don't know if Plastiq asks any more questions about your business other than that? It seems the main requirement of the promo is the use of a business credit card.

Both DH and I have personal accounts, same address, and I had no problems getting the FFD when I used my code to sign him up. I wouldn't think the same address would be a disqualifier since so many people run home-based businesses.

I emailed Plastiq marketing yesterday to see if a person can have both a personal Plastiq and a business Plastiq account, and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I did see one DP in the DoC comments that you can have multiple accounts but it sure would be nice to have something written from Plastiq.

ETA: Just realized you said "paying my DH" in your post - are you saying you would pay him from the new Plastiq account such that the Payment address and Recipient address are the same? That I think would be a problem.

I can't remember where I read it but I knew about the fingerprint question before going in and was prepared with my answer. But my interviewer asked it as "Have you ever been finger printed outside of employment purposes". So that made it easy to say no. Maybe they didn't phrase it the same. I could see a bit of fluster if you didn't know where that was going :)

So is he all set for Monday? Is he getting extra time in the lounges by breezing through security? :P
They just asked if he'd been printed ever. He was pretty sure he did when working for a rec center in high school, so that's what he said. And the guy asked if he had any other time. He didn't think so.... I pointed out after, didn't he for his CDL? He got one one summer in college to drive a school bus for a gymnastics day camp program he worked at. D'oh! So realizing that was what he had forgotten, feeling like he answered wrong based on the interviewer's response, and then the interviewer's parting comment of him being good "as long as his fingerprints pass" had him all freaked out. He gets too worked up over things that will be fine. They also told him it'd be a day or two but I logged in this morning and it said he's approved. Now he gets to call SW today. Unfortunately I don't think he gets extra lounge time this time around; he's going Monday night at 7pm (maybe he would go eat at Timberline since I work until 7pm anyways) and coming back from Kansas City so I don't think they have any lounges for him.

I imagine it is dependent on the personality of your interviewer.
DH kept saying, if you had done anything wrong this guy could get it out of you :rotfl:

Congrats party: ....yes you can call and ask them to expedite it

I didn't get any emails. That is another reason I am concerned.

I am hoping today is the day! Nothing yet but it’s still early. I met the requirements Feb. 6 so if it isn’t today I don’t think I’m getting the bonus. I pushed $5000 from Chase and got the direct deposit emails but no bonus yet. My work direct deposit takes a month to activate for new accounts so even if I add that I won’t make my cut off.

That is interesting. Based on a few of the DPs I've seen, once you get a pop-up on one certain card, you won't ever get the bonus on that card even if you don't get the pop-up later. That means I would have expected you to say you got the Hilton Biz later and still didn't get the bonus.

That I can verify is not true. DH got the popup probably 6-8 times on the Hilton Biz, then finally got approved without the popup and got the bonus within a day of meeting the spend.

Yeah nothing in PNC for me today either, I am starting to get really annoyed, or worried, not sure which! My last debit transaction posted on 1/28!

Can someone help me understand Chase's 24-month bonus policy on new Southwest cards? My understanding is that, if you've received a sign-up bonus in the past 24 months, then you won't get the new bonus. I'm interested in the 40,000 + Companion Pass promo. I received a sign-up bonus on a Business card in March 2017 and on a Premier card in May 2017. Can I earn the sign-up bonus on Plus card now?

I think it was only 10,000 MR for the green.

I don't really do HH points, so can't answer that one meaningfully. Doesn't seem all that great to me though. It probably depends where and when you want to use the HH points. There's no award chart for Hilton, right? You have to look it up on their website each time to see how much a certain room costs for any given point in time?
