About to purchase UT 5dPH before their price catches up with Disney’s increase. Does UT code as travel for the CIP? Any other tipster? Should I get the hard ticket or the eticket?

Transferring URs to Hyatt Questions:
All of our URs are in P2's name since she has the CSP. How do/Can I transfer P2's points to the Hyatt Loyalty Account with my name on it? Furthermore, can I even use those points to reserve a room in my name?

Alternatively, you can transfer the UR points you need from P2’s CSP to your CIP, then from your CIP transfer those points to your Hyatt account.

For those using the AmEx Plat Uber credits on UberEats, fee increases coming soon - https://www.doctorofcredit.com/uber...15-service-fee-small-order-fee-delivery-fees/

Sounds like pickup time to me. (but then, really? a pickup option on a food delivery service???? What exactly am I paying you for?) If you're stuck with delivery then you might be down to the $2 apple pie at McDonald's to make the credit work.

You cannot click on the link in your account reservation. You need to search the flight like you are booking it new and then click on the flight number from there. At least that is what I had to do for our flights that are in just over two weeks.

Our flight there and back is a Boeing 737-700.

Thanks for the info, @wendow! That worked for me. I'm also on a 737-700 for this September.

I took the $100 Kroger GC I bought at Lowe's this weekend with the 10% back Amex deal to Kroger this morning for the 4x fuel points promo. Picked up a $100 Disney GC at self-checkout with no issues at all! Other than what DH buys in plants for spring planting, I'll definitely be maxing my Lowe's offers on two cards this way. Even if using a Kroger GC dies, I shop there anyways so it's no loss to me just to use the GCs to purchase regular groceries. Really glad someone mentioned this!

I am not sure how it codes (would guess travel) but read what UT says as far as hard ticket or e ticket. We had some friends buy them this fall for a May trip but when they got the hard tickets it said they needed to be used by end of January. So double check possible expiration dates.

I'm looking to apply for another card or two. We are in 2 player mode, so I'll list what we both have:

me:
01/19 Chase Ink Bus Preferred (Referred by DH)
08/18 AmEx Green Business (to close Gold Business w/o losing points)
08/17 Citi TY Premier
03/17 CSP (closed 4/18)
01/17 CSR (converting to CFU)

So, I'm at 2/24 with the closed CSP and Citi TY.

DH:
05/18 Chase Ink Bus Preferred
08/17 Citi TY Preferred
03/17 Chase SW Plus (closed)
03/17 Chase SW Premier (closed)
10/16 CSR
OLD - CF - DH also has a Chase Freedom card which he's had forever.

DH should be at 3/24 including the SW cards which should fall off this month.

We love UR's, but neither are eligible for CSP/CSR. I have a bunch of MR from the AmEx Gold Business card that I've never used.

Looking for suggestions - I'm hoping to keep spot(s) open to go for the SW CP early next year.

Thanks for any suggestions / advice!

Replying to my own post with another DP on the 2nd CIP. When I posted the above, many suggested the I have DH apply for another CIP. I applied last night around 8:30 and got this message when I applied: We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision as soon as possible. I called the number about 30 minutes later and got the 30 day message. When I called this morning first thing, he was approved! I was nervous applying, but so glad I did!

Thanks for the advice!

I have $2,100 left on my European cruise. Was holding for a signup bonus. I can't get a personal card because both DH and I will be under 5/24 by end of summer.

So I'm ready to pull the trigger on the Amex biz gold... and there's no welcome bonus?! How is that even a thing? Sigh. :rolleyes2

Congratulations!

(I think I may have been the first to suggest it, so yay!)

Same for us. I told MIL a white lie that we weren't flying a MAX before I actually looked it up. It hadn't crossed my mind to look it up though.

I'm going to have to give this a shot. We're maxed out on FPs through April right now.

I'm jealous that they approved you so quickly. :) Congrats! My DH's status was still 30 days as of this morning. (I'm hoping that by posting this here, it will go to approved today...)

I don't think I realized there was a max. Actually, maybe @havaneselover mentioned that there isn't a max in VA recently??

Yeah I should text my mom back and tell her since she's the one who texted me last night wanting to know what we were flying in September lol.

I took that to mean they don't need any more/more would go to waste.

And yes, we are good in VA. I personally could sit on > 10,000 or so toward the beginning of a month and not worry since I fill up about three times per month.

For those that have IHG free night certs, looks like they may be enforcing the stay by expiration date clause (sorta) on newer issued certs. It's been known that you could book by the expiration date for a future date despite the cert language it needs to be completed by then - even CSRs have been telling people that, so it must have been common place. However, starting with certs issued in the latter half of 2018 if you try to book in the month after expiration date it shows no availability for several people.

https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/b0cite/final_ihg_unrestricted_free_night_only_usable_2/

It's not the greatest post r/churning has turned out but it's good enough that I think people should check what they can do with their certs. For me, my 2018 cert which are issued in January was used to book end of March 2019, so almost 3 months after expiration. Others have posted certs from July/August 2018 can only book a couple weeks after the expiration date in July/August 2019. I'd definitely look if you were hoping to use it for a date beyond the expiration.
