I don't know they'll go after co-brands. That could really piss off the cobrands who would find themselves either having to give courtesy points to customers or telling their customers to take a hike and talk to Amex, either way the cobrand is the one now taking the heat. It would also mean Amex showing they were an incompetent credit card partner. I don't know what sorts of clauses are in those partner contracts but, just spit-balling here, I think there must be something about if one of them demonstrates egregiously incompetent behavior that damages the other's brand the other can bail- or be given a bunch of money... watch all co-brands get clawed back tomorrow.

Yeah, there's a lot more moving parts when you get partners involved and why I don't think we'll see it too soon if it happens. While nothing is impossible, it's much harder to do something like this with partner agreements, for many reasons and especially the ones you've outlined. AmEx could make a case to their partners and come up with a new/side agreement for the situation but it's a lot of work and might actually cost more than they lost. So that's why I'm 50/50. It'd have to be a winning prospect to move forward with it (they'd still save money even after the work) and not just be a principle play to show "gamers" that they're serious.

But then again it's AmEx, maybe you're right and we all get those emails on Monday

I did, so the jury is still out as to whether they go back to 2018 for more clawbacks for me. Of course, I'm not even sure which set of points this 20k clawback is related to. Like I said, never fun to lose points, but the timing worked out for me at least in terms of coming after my big redemption.

From the DPs reported on reddit, it seems like Amex is going after 2018-19 self-referrals all at once, so if they made an accounting error in your favor I’m really hoping that’s it for you.

So in paying bills today I saw the $125 AF posted for my SPG Biz. It hurt to close that card. It was the first I signed up for to play the game. But the $125 and the Bonvoy setup just aren't winning my love. I had that card 15 years! When I went to cancel they didn't offer me any kind of retention. If I was only an AU on my exes SPG personal, I could go for my own personal and get the SUB right? Also w/ my SPG Biz being 14 years old, would I be eligible for a sign up bonus if I did the Bonvoy biz? It's every 7 years right? From sign up or from closing?

I now have gotten 2 mailers for the CIP. I'm hoping this is a good sign and when I hit my spend on my Citi2 I can get approved for it.

We are big fans of Swolphin. Just stayed at Swan and Dolphin last month. Love the beds, love walking to Epcot. Like the décor personally, even if it's less Disney. And DH is a big fan of Picabu being open 24/7.
Super excited to stay there for the first time in Aug! We ate at Picabu when we were staying at BC in Mar/Apr and walked around the resort/pool area. Picabu was really good and less $$. I think we're gonna like it. I will miss it being a Disney resort but I love walking to the BW area and I love walking to Epcot.

No movement on my account either, but I'm wondering if I should transfer the points I do have now rather than risk losing them. I only have about 32K and DH has 55K. We have both done self-referrals recently and last year. I would most likely transfer them to Hilton since I know we'll have stays there in the future. Decisions, decisions...

Problem is they will still leave you with a negative balance from what I'm reading.

I hope Cheesecake Factory will accept multiple gift cards. My daughter's birthday dinner will be there compliments of Amex Rose Gold. I've got 7 GCs to cover a portion. Trying to decide whether to grab another (July's) before we eat so I can use CIP to help with MSR or just pay the balance with Amex.

I am sure they will.

Okay Hilton Aspire gurus and free night gurus. I know I'm not using my benefits to the best, but I'm looking to booking summer vacation w/ the kids. So I'm looking at possibly using the free nights for that and the resort credits.

The $250 resort credit can be used on the cost of the room right? As long as I book a "resort" from the Hilton resorts page.

Also does anyone know can you book your free nights to be used after the expire? Like my first free night expires in October. Can I book something now to be used in April of next year for example.

Has anyone done a US Bank Biz checking account bonus with a "business"? I just opened a consumer cking acct with them last weekend for the $300 bonus, and I have an existing Biz Edge cc. I just got a mailer for a $500 bonus. It seems they don't require documentation for sole prop except a SS card, and the requirements are for $10k to keep it fee free and a $5k deposit for the bonus. Even if I paid the monthly fee of $20 I'd still come out ahead. I'd have to drive to KC (again) but not too big a deal. Any thoughts? Seems like an awesome deal to me but haven't done a biz cking acct before. I wanted to do the Chase one but ran out of time to drive to OKC to open the acct.

I don't know that I've ever seen a DP of co-brand points being clawed back. There's a first time for everything, especially with Amex, but I've just never seen it.

I was expecting to hear from the

416830

but then I remembered I couldn't get the 100K Bananaboy Biz offer to show up from my Plat referral link so I didn't use my own link. I don't remember if I realized the issue was you couldn't refer personal > business or what.

Idk how "biz" friendly USBank is, I can confirm Chase is very "biz" friendly. The caution I have with US Bank is they are a "relationship bank" meaning they'll look back at all your banking history with them if you want to do actual business with them. If you're just in it for the bonuses then go to town but if you do "real" business with them step lightly.
