I went to the bathroom
and might have squealed
in pain as I partially threw
my back out.
Oh, man. I'm sorry. I know how painful that is.
I was moving a little slowly this
morning, not of my own accord,
so it took me a full 45 minutes
or so to get up and dressed
and out of my room.
Yuck. I'm glad you could at least move, though.
I was by no ways the first to arrive.
Not even close.
Wow, that's quite the crowd. Was something special going on that day?
Once the throng was allowed
to enter, I hopped on a car
for a relaxing, leisurely jaunt
down Main St. USA.
Hope you tipped her and said, "Run these people over!"
I stayed to the left, right behind the CM
and was rewarded with my efforts by
following the CM up to the queue,
into the queue and right up to the ride.
I was the first guest of the day on 7DMT.
Hey, cool! Nice work.
What could be better than sitting
in jammies and a housecoat, sipping
a mug of coffee (or in my case, hot
chocolate) and perusing the morning
paper?
I can always count on you for a great Splash Mountain photo. Or two.
That's a cool display. I don't think I've seen that one before.
I won't say it's my favourite
ride in Disney... nor even in
MK... but it's in the top 3
(at MK, at least.)
Definitely my favorite in MK.
Impressive work! Just a wild guess that you didn't bring the knife with you on the ride.
Please keep your cutting remarks
to yourselves.
I was gonna say you looked sharp.
And... I gotta tell ya...
I didn't like it.
Far too many chocolate chips.
At that time of morning, for
breakfast, I just don't normally
like or want a lot of chocolate.
Unless it's hot chocolate... then maybe.
Dang. I can usually go for a nice chocolate croissant.
Great shots there! I like the lighting.
I decided to mobile-order
a Dole Whip Float first.
OMG.... soooo good.
This is correct.
Rejuvenated, I was able
to help Peter defeat the
pirates.
(My recent experience on
POTC played no small part.)
Indubitably.
While I was in the area,
I had a nice chat with a DVC
CM and decided to let myself
get talked into a DVC tour.
Well, what'd you go and do that for?
The offer of three anytime FPs
didn't hurt either.
Ah. I think I see the full picture now.
Tron was coming along nicely.
Looks like they have the track
laid now.
Oh man, I can't wait to ride that!
Whenever we go back, many years from now.
I offered to let him hold it, but he
surprised me by saying that he
wasn't allowed to touch guests'
cameras.
I wonder why not? Because it would
stop him from playing? Because
he might drop it? But other CMs
use guests' cameras all the time.
I still don't know.
Or maybe he just didn't want to.
While I suppose the "all you can eat"
option is what might bring in the hungry,
I'm just not that big an eater to make
it worth my while.
But you can order a la carte.
Sounds like a plan to me. I'd be interested in trying it, too, just because I never see it open.
I waited for a few minutes
and was brought to what
was described as "The best
seat in the house."
Looks like a good spot!
I looked around and was a bit
surprised by these (for Disney)
slightly risqué prints on the wall.
Avert your eyes, in the name of decency!
But I am definitely glad I tried
this new-to-me spot.
Counts as a win.
This couple at the Speedway made
me laugh, so I snapped a photo
as they chugged past.
That looks...uncomfortable.
And I like to think that this
guy looks like he's 15 feet tall.
(No, he's not photoshopped.
the cars are just that small.)
He really does look like a giant!
I passed the line for the Speedway
and shook my head.
I just can't imagine standing in
line for the chance to slowly
jerk around a track.
Nope. Not for me.
The things we do for our kids...
I won't go into all the details
of the DVC spiel.
It was interesting and informative...
but I just don't think it's for me.
We've been tempted before, but we just like variety and exploring different places too much to make it a good investment.
Hey! Nice job!
There was one joke that I hadn't heard before.
Skip it if you'd rather hear it straight from
the source.
Otherwise you can click the spoiler button.
Always up for a good Jungle Cruise dad joke.
I know one of my readers
recommended this.
And I almost remember who.
But that note is at work.
If it was you... thanks!
It was really tasty!
I'll have to make note of that one.
She quickly nodded, I picked
her up (fins... you know...)
and we headed out for some
rides.
Man. You went above and beyond with the Ariel visit this time!
I asked her what ride she
wanted to go on next.
And this is what she picked...
So what we've learned from this is: Ariel has awful, terrible taste.
You can tell from the
After that torture was over,
I dropped her off back at
the grotto and told her I'd
have to rethink our future.
Sad... but everyone has their limit.
No one is perfect, so we can never have such high standards for our mate that we rule everyone out.
But Small World is probably a bridge too far.
Dejected, I arrived at the bus stop
at 7:09pm... and to add insult to
injury, the bus didn't arrive until
eight minutes later, at 7:17pm.
Ha! Now you know what it feels like to be a regular peon like the rest of us!
I mean, uh, sorry for the wait.
