Happy Monday,the weekend sucked and it didn’t suck. Seems I have contracted a bad staff infection in my hand which wound up with a trip to urgent care. On the didn’t suck side,my Xmas present from the wife showed up on ups. She got me a rectec pellet grill. looks like my Yoder will have to wait...

As for winning all time, that's not it. I enjoyed watching Jordan, er um, the Bulls win. Shaq was fun with the Lakers. James was terrific with the Heat/Cavs. Steph was fun with the Warriors. The 90s Cowboys were fun too watch (I know it's not the Eagles). The 49ers with Primetime highstepping was just amazing to watch. Watching Federer & Serena winning championships was terrific. Man City, Man United, Liverpool all terrific. And, I'm not a particular fan of all those teams. I love watching the high talent/ quality players. That's what sports is all about. So, it's not the Pats winning. It's the cheating.

I can appreciate greatness. But since the dynasty is never a Philly sports team, after a while you just start to feel like your team will never have a chance. So it's pure jealousy.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Great Disney day as I head out for DDCC later this afternoon and FP+ selection window for me and DS March trip opened this morning. Having 2 trips 60 days apart ain't too bad.

Big Congratulations to Terry's DD who rode 39 of 47 open rides at DaWorld yesterday. Hit all parks with 16 hours of park time 7:00 am to 11:00 pm and Terry hit 45,000 steps

HEad to the airport in about 6 hours, have a good one gents!

Do they randomly add an hour throughout the day at times? How would you know if that happened?

Morning, Dads! Hope all are doing well on this beautiful day...well, beautiful up here on Cape Cod. So I emailed my boss this morning about a day off I'm going to need for an appointment with the VA. His response, "Steve (that's my real name, by the way), that's the end of month (duh), can you reschedule?" Can I reschedule?! It took me 3.5-4 months to get this appointment, no I won't reschedule. So I politely responded with, "Nope." He wasn't happy, but said that I can't schedule an appointment at the end of the month again. Well, dude, let me tell you, if the end of the month is all i can get, then that's what I'm taking. Can I reschedule. My health trumps your end of the month. Anyway, I'm going to try not to let it destroy my faith in the management. Have a good day, everyone.

We never had any pro teams here. Apparently, the colleges (UK & UL) conspired to keep out pro teams to keep more revenue for college sports. Since I never had a local pro team, other than UK basketball and illegal recruitment, I was just able to watch for enjoyment.

Never have faith in management. I learned far too late that I was easily replaced. I've tried to teach my children that. I just hope I've been able to impart on them what I learned far too late.

I've learned that, too, though I have found that there are some managers that are way better than others. This guy, however, is still fairly new and doesn't want to upset his bosses, so he won't stand up to them, and also won't have our backs when push comes to shove....I've already seen this.

He did, however, at the end of the day, ask about the process of getting that appointment, and I did explain it to him and he thanked me for explaining it. But don't ask to change someone's medical appointment.

I wish I was him. I can't imagine being an adult and being so healthy and having nothing but healthy people around me who have never once had to book a medical appointment. He must have exceptionally good genes.

Personally... "So what's the process of getting that medical appointment?"
Me: "About the same process for contacting the HR department to tell them that my boss is harassing me. That's a private matter and none of your damn business."

Of course if you do that, your job will be a living hell from that point on... but it is none of his business. Perhaps a simple "I'm afraid that's personal information that I am not comfortable disclosing."

Still amounts to "Mind your own business, jerk."
