News Round Up 2020

Oh I'm right there with you.

If that is it looks like they tried to get one of each if you will as there's one of a cider, IPA, lager, ale but not surprisingly no dark beer options. I get it though. Limiting but probably appealing to a wider audience (I guess lol).

Yeah, I think I just had high hopes for a huge selection with rotating taps and trying to feature new breweries, etc

News - Especially for the person asking about Coco Music :)
To anyone that has listened to these recent World Showcase Background changes and are familiar with the previous background music, does it sound as if they replaced the background music entirely or they maintained the sound/feel of the old background music and just incorporated a bit of new stuff?

I am fine with the new musical additions to the lands around world showcase but I hope it stops there, I understand Disney wants to make alot of IP additions to Epcot, but I like that in world showcase it has always kinda been hidden and off to the side. Like Christopher Robins room in the UK and the 3 caballeros in Mexico. I hope we do not start getting the Characters portrayed all over the respective countries and losing the actual representation of the country to focus purely on the IP. IP plusing is fine as long as it doesnt become IP takeover

For a park that has festivals for 3/4 of the year that involves food booths, I am surprised at the sheer number of restaurants this park has (like the addition of Space 220 and the new Tokyo restaurant).

That being said, I am looking forward to some of them during my next trip (summer) when festivals are NOT happening.
Now that we have park hoppers (travel during FD promotions), I find we sometimes consider heading to Epcot for just food. Now that the Skyliner is open and we stay at Pop I can see us doing this far more often!

Yeah, I was expecting the sandwich to be more like $15 and the combo more like $23. It would be high for a CS, but lately it seems like BBQ is commanding a premium.

That said, in the real world I very rarely spend more than $10 on BBQ and am glad it is at the price point it is. I really enjoy the high quality Central Texas Style places, but generally don't want to pay the price nor deal with the 'altitude.' (There are also a lot of wanna be places that charge a lot for mediocre BBQ)

I agree! Give me Rudy's or give me death :duck:
My boys like others like Black's and Louie Mueller. But, since I'm buying... :)

That is what I am planning on doing during our next trip (staying at AoA) ..just maybe use Epcot in the evening on our pool day to ..to go eat dinner one night (thanks to the ease of use of the Skyliner)

Last time I did a search for partner hotels one came up that listed their location as Flamingo Crossing. I’ve never been there so maybe it’s not in the same location. I want to say it was a Best Western but don’t really remember. I know there’s one in DS but this was definitely a different hotel.

There are many "Good Neighbor hotels" but only a handful of "WDW Official" hotels. The "good neighbor" hotels meet certain standards that Disney set forth and have ticket agents available in their lobbies. The "WDW Official" hotels are the ones that offer 60 day FP and EMH, none of them are in Flamingo Crossing. The BW that is included is the one close to Disney Springs.

NEWS

EMH hours for DHS in March changed from morning to Evening (just like has been done recently, so not a surprise)

Why are they doing this? The new procedure should work fine with EMH. Just hold the non-EMH guests in the Echo Lake area.

It’s going to have to work 3 days a week at DL.

Im still trying to imaging getting a BG while ON Space Mountain, but that will probably be a few dozen people a day at DL...

This looks like stuff DD15 would really wear. We got caught in one of those 85->55 degree days at HS and she was freezing. I tried to buy her something to keep warm, but she couldn't find anything in the park that she would ever wear again, much less small enough to fit her. Ended up wrapped in a blanket. I hope they have a range of sizes.

They did a morning EMH once after RotR opened and it was a disaster - but I agree they need to figure it out for DLR

But the procedure changed since then, and the new procedure should avoid the same issues. 🤷‍♂️

Any word on the potential of FP / Stand By / VQ for Mickey's Runaway Railway? If a VQ, how that would impact Rise of the Resistance VQ? FP or not, if MMRR would have an impact on FP Tiering at DHS?

no word - beyond that people are able to book FP at 60+ days out that goes to and past March 4th and FPs are not available for booking for MMRR
