I agree with him! With a baby those FPs you get at a Disney hotel will be invaluable. Plus you'll want the extra day in case he's fussy for 1 day or decides he wants to sleep in an a/c room for a few hours every afternoon. I'd recommend the MiraCosta over the Disneyland Hotel -- we were at the Disneyland Hotel and while it was okay, it could use a soft refurb. I'm sure there are steps on how to book somewhere online, but you need to be ready to book the MiraCosta at exactly 6 months out and try super hard to get one of the rooms with a harbor view so you can watch the fireworks (with music) from your room!
We did Hilton Tokyo bay last year and that was a good alternative so that will probably be our backup. I would LOVE to stay at the miracosta. Maybe we’ll cash out URs to “pay” for the room. I know the process to get a room is kind of a pain.

You and I are movie twins! First Sixteen Candles, now Fast and Furious. Up till now I thought I was the only grown woman that LOVES Fast and Furious. I about died when I read this. DH teases me all the time my love for those movies. Haha!
Ha. I am far and away the biggest fan in my house. Dd won’t watch them. I sob every time I watch 7. I bet you would like these ❤️❤️467515

OK, what are everyone's thoughts on WDW in 2021? How much do you think the 50th will impact crowds?
I definitely don’t want the second one that close since we’re planning to go to Japan next May. But keeping it might be a good idea because they’re double sided (infant and toddler). We could use one as the baby grows and save the other for the next one.
Or you could be like me and go for baby number 2 only to find out that SURPRISE it's babies number 2 and 3 and you need 2 of everything 😂

My DH loved walking the kids around the parks/resorts for stroller naps. We',d drape a muslin blanket and put a portable sound machine inside and my kids would conk out and DH would just wander for 1-2 hours. ❤ Tip for future trips!
That sounds great! I’m planning on having the baby sleep with noise most all of the time so he’s used to it. Maybe at night I should play “disney Park noise” for him lol

To @Lain and all those that have replied, I appreciate your quick responses. With the information given I have decided to use our HSA for half the balance, and then finish DH’s CIP with the remaining balance. This will allow me to app DH for an Amex and not be in a rush to get it here. I’m leaning towards the BBP because ultimately I would like us both to be able to park MR’s with no AF someday down the road.
Thank you again!
I'd like to point out you can charge the whole amount (get points) and submit to HSA for reimbursement. Unless there's a fee that is more expensive than the value of the points earned, of course.

It's random things like toilets flushing or other non-constant background noise that would wake them. (Hey, sometimes you gotta pee when walking the parks for 2hrs)

These are awesome! I’m cracking up at The Rock, and that cross on Vin. 😂 Thank you for sharing, brought a smile to my face. It is shame about Paul Walker.
I have a Toretto's Garage t-shirt too. I don't think at 50, and female, I was ever the target audience LOL.

I'm behind still but... we booked a trip! I've been feeling a great desire to get back out to Disneyland since in April it will have been two years - the horror!
  • Flights - Booked flights with SW on a Thursday afternoon and home Monday morning with SW travel credits we had, will add myself with CP ~ OOP $11.20, cash value $690
  • Hotels -
    • Fairfield Anaheim Resort, first night for 30k points, second and third nights with FNCs ~ OOP $0, cash value $735
    • Hampton SNA Airport for 25k points, since our flight home is early I'd rather be across from SNA vs worrying about oversleeping and coming from 20mins away and also would rather burn Hilton vs Marriott points ~ OOP $0, cash value $139

Now...….. just need tickets :faint:

Glad I have 2 dropping off in August at the same time as @SouthFayetteFan 's wife (does he even "go here" anymore?!). LOL That will also mark 2 years that I know all of you here :grouphug:

Like literally, this is @SouthFayetteFan the last time he showed his face around here:

Oh yes, and for those who chimed in the other day, this gives us Fri-Sun in the parks vs Sat-Mon :thumbsup2

It. Was. Terrible! I was trying to get stuff in the event I pulled off a winter trip and it was a no-go. No MFSR on the date I found a decent YC rate and no TSL anymore on 2/22. I guess I can try for 2/23 tomorrow, but resort guests probably ate that all up. Doesn't look like FotA is happening for me this year. I will just have to save the money and points for more fall trips!
Bummer, fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I finally got what I wanted with a SDD. But the system crashing was very frustrating. But I'm working almost 60 days out. Now SDD is basically gone. 1 time just popped up at night. MFSR has about 10 openings in the evening so it looks like SDD is still going to be the hardest one to snag in DHS.

There are a few check in options, you'll get an email about a week prior that lists them. We did in park. Everyone does have to be there together, you need blue card and id and they'll place the band on each person. I would suggest getting everyone and then getting checked in at the park. They will be set up outside the tapstyles as well as inside.

I had pre-MM FP for FOP because I thought it might be packed during the event. I want to say it was 30-45 most of the night during MM. We did end up going through it a second time. Navi was 5 at one point. Everest was down until the final hour, we went on right away and it was a walk on. I don't know if the line grew after that. Safari closed at 10, it said 20 min, but was a walk on when we went through. That was kind of cool, but hard to see much. It was just so very, very cold it was hard to do anything; I was just struggling to walk at that point. Mickey Bars were served inside at Creature Comforts, they are all you can eat which was just an ear for me lol Many people hanging out in there eating theirs lol

Meal card gets you an entree and drink at Satuli, Restaurantosurus or Pizzafari. We opted for Sutuli for lunch thinking it would be packed in the evening and chose Restaurantosaurus for dinner. It was very packed around 6:30, but cleared by about 7, you can get any entree on the menu. My gluten free bacon cheeseburger was bread and meat with nothing else (well, fries). In the packed rush I didn't realize that so I was very disappointed. My son didn't want the cheese, bacon etc on his gluten free grilled chicken blt so I used those. Just go elsewhere lol

You will get a card for credits for the games in Dinoland, we didn't use them. We did leave a bit early because we were so, so tired after 2 early mornings trying for RotR. The most annoying part was having to constantly show our band, which I completely understand, but it was so cold no one wanted to uncover hands lol Some CMs were happy to see one band for the group, some wanted to see everyone's band.

We rarely do characters currently, but we did meet Jiminy and Kevin.

2 pair of pants, 2 shirts, 1 jacket lol my ankles were a bit cold. I was partly in denial that it would be so cold ;)

Thank you! I hope it's warmer than your experience! I'm just not into cold right now.

That's a great idea. I never kept the house quiet when dd was a baby and she can literally sleep through anything (including smoke alarms). My mom must've kept the house super quiet when I was a baby because I am such a light sleeper. I hate it -- I wake up if there's a slight wind outside or the dog stretches -- just the tiniest noise and I wake up (ironically my sister is the complete opposite).

I have the old card (49 AF) I wonder if I could get this too...
Yes you can hold both (or all 3)

They made a generic statement on the landing page about if you have an IHG card or earned a bonus on that card in the last 24 months you aren't eligible to receive another of the same card.

If you check the offer details of each of the IHG cards they state "this card" unlike the Sapphire or SW cards that say "any" card. So should be good to get one or both of the new cards and still hold the old one.

From the Premier offer:
This product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months.
