Some of you might have seen me mention that my 15 yo got invited to go to DL with his best friend for the friend's birthday this weekend. The friend REALLY wanted to get on ROTR so, as I am the comparative expert, I went over to their house last weekend and spent an HOUR making sure that both boys and the dad, who was taking them, knew all the details.

My son texts me this morning and said they didn't get on because they "didn't know we had to be in the park" (through the turnstiles and scanned in).

Wow. Just wow.

On the MSR side of things I am (are you surprised???) probably going to hit it on the Amex BBP much earlier than I originally thought.

I have an expensive DLH stay coming up at the end of the month so I'm strongly considering a CIP application here in the next day or two to use it on that stay. Decisions, decisions.

Do it.... DLH will code as travel so a few more points there if you use it to meet CIP MSR...

MSR Sunday - I will finish SW card as soon as I pay my insurance bill. CP here I come. Amex recently sent me an offer to upgrade my BCE to BCP ($150 statement credit after $1k spend). So, that will be next. It's not a huge money maker since I will have to pay the $95 fee, but it will be nice to have the BCP card again and the timing is good since I need a break from new cards. This will be the 2nd time doing this upgrade. I pc'd back to BCE just a few months ago.

our kids were not interested in DC at that age....but it probably depends on the kid...
They liked Hershey Park, Dutch Wonderland and that whole area

Thank you for this. I may try PC'ing my BCP down to BCE (after I hit $6k at grocery stores of course) and see if I get offered to upgrade.

We love the Smoky Mountains area. The hiking is approachable for newbies. And Dollywood is a great theme park if you’re in a theme park mood.

@DaveL we are doing Philly/hershey/baltimore/OCMD this summer. Its a little jumpy but it surrounds my ILs (they live in rural PA). All of those places have fun stuff for kids and none are too far from the next. Idk where you are located but you could fly into Baltimore as your base and drive to Hershey or Philly or Dc for day trips. I think Baltimore is 1 to 1.5 hours from any of those.
