Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

We’ll be trying the dance on Monday and Tuesday next week. Is Toy Story still opening 90 minutes before park opening during the week? Or am I going to have to fight the garages?

We will be there Monday. Monday is our only DL day (Tues is CA) and I'll be there with 2 people who probably won't be back any time in the next 10 years (and my daughter, who will!). I successfully got boarding groups two days in a row on a weekend in January, but I need to make sure we get boarding groups on Monday. If we go to the front of rope drop, and head into Fantasyland as soon as they let us, should I probably stay off whatever they ride to make sure I don't have a weird signal thing at official opening? In other words, what kinds of "risks" aren't that risky, and which ones should I avoid? Any thoughts?

It’s opening 90 minutes before park opening. They’ve put it that way on the website, so I think it’s a permanent switch, or at least as long as BGs are happening.

Oh, man, DHS is crushing it today. 81 groups called in their first 4.5 hours. That's good to see.

Let's hope DHS keeps it up! I will be playing there on Saturday! I feel pretty good about it having gotten the boarding group 4 times at DL now.

Folks have reported getting BGs while on PP, SM, Dumbo, and Alice so far. To me that's an expert level of risk that I would not undertake...but your tolerance may be different than mine.

What I would say, though, is that assuming that you are not on property and therefore don't have MM or EMH, but still have park hoppers...Tuesday is not necessarily off the table. Because they have MM over at DL and will likely open the gates early to non-MM folk (especially if you use a scout to watch for the change-over), you could conceivably scan in to DL, then make a U-turn and get back over to DCA in time to Rope Drop. Again, it's a risk, but mornings at DCA of late have been very sparse as the BG Madness across the Esplanade elevates.

They're at 100 groups now after 6 hours. They pulled an acceleration, then slowed down a bit, but seem to be holding steady.

Thanks. No, I don't want a -high- level of risk. I really want the others to get to ride ROTR! What about being IN the Peter Pan line, but not on it yet? Or maybe send them on Dumbo or Alice while I wait off the ride? That might be my best bet. I might tell my daughter to try on our other phone on wifi as well. I have a Flex pass, but the other three will just have 1-park-per-day tickets, so Monday is our shot.

Okay I had to go do work things and backups are still available? Do we think they have more out there or are there less people there today?

Fair enough. Someone just yesterday or today I think reported getting a good BG in line at PP. A lot depends on your cell carrier and your service and how your connection is in various places in the park. Have EVERYBODY try if they can.

WOW, it’s now 11:30 and it’s still open for BG. Yet they’re only on group 22-35 2.5 hours into opening so I don’t think anyone’s getting on with those layer groups lol

This is a record right? 2.5 hours?
Yes, previous record was an hour and 43 minutes (also a Wednesday)

I'm guessing less people, judging by wait times on the app. And perhaps folks arriving late assuming that everything is gone already.

But...it looks like we may have just gone down again...
Edit: Nope, still going...just...slowly.

That's a good point. DN has a phone, too, and we're taking the house phone with us, so DD can try on that on wifi. Even if we're all in line, and try at the same time, there's a good chance we'll get one, especially on a Monday morning vs a weekend day...

any chance your hubby could try along from home too?

The park overall looks like low crowds today so that may be helping. We are going tomorrow and hoping for the same.
