Success Cancelling Park Hoppers?

407-939-7866 it seems to be a back door directly to guest services. It worked for quite a few of us today, although guest services is starting to wonder where everyone got the number from. LOL I couldn't keep holding on for hours just to get disconnected every single time. it was a godsend for me today.
Oh I was using the 4079397639 number.

I spoke with a second CM today who suggested waiting another week or two on downgrading tickets because of all of the other craziness going on right now and the super long waits. She said the same for switching resorts. So...I'm going to sit tight for now, happy to at least have my park reservations out of the way.

Got the same wait and see. People have said they altered it in the change reservation. My button just does nothing but reload my plans.

It makes sense... I have been trying all day to drop our PH and i'm exhausted from hearing "all circuits are busy" or just busy tones. We don't check in until 7/16 so i feel like i have some time before i need to worry, but i definitely want to settle this issue before getting on property and wasting my time while i'm there. I am now anxious about the ADR process and when/what that will bring! This year has aged me for sure!!!

My trip isn’t until mid August. I don’t think park hopping will be back that quickly, but I also don’t think I want to spend an entire day on the phone. I giving the phone lines a little time to get less crazy before I call. I have time. I also think a CM who isn’t frazzled by dealing with so many frustrated people, might be better more likely to sprinkle some pixie dust since it doesn’t look like our resort will be open either.

When I called the other day and moved resorts from AS Sports to Pop for our Sept/Oct trip, I asked about my park hoppers. The CM told me that they were already down to base tickets, even though MDE still says 'Park Hopper'. Not too sure about that, but he was a very knowledgeable CM and was so helpful with everything else. I'm just going to wait and see.

We have Florida resident tickets that expire Sept 30. We had paid to have the park hoppers added. Will they refund the extra money we paid?

I was able to do it online. The Change button for tickets took me back to My Plans, but the Change button for resort worked. I selected the same resort and same room type, then got a message that a ticket change is required. I then had the option of how many days I wanted my non-hopper ticket to be. I was not only able to remove hoppers, but I also added a day, and it only took a few minutes.
Did this today and it worked, I'm actually going to get a $200 refund by cancelling park hopper and adding another day to my tickets.

I just wanted to let everyone know what I found out today after getting ahold of a lovely CM named Booker in ticketing. He said that for our 10 day park hoppers that we are set to use 7/16-7/27 we can actually get a refund beforehand (around $170) OR we can get the refund at the parks OR even when we get home from our trip! He said that they can obviously tell that you weren’t able to park hop and the refund will be issued. He wanted to let me know of all of these options because if god forbid something happens again before we’re set to go, the “flex ticket” that has the extended expiration date will still be valid. He was so nice that he even put notes in my account to call 7/30, after we return home to ensure that we got our refund and if not, to issue it. I hope this will help calm some of the nerves especially after many of us have tried for hours on end to reach someone. Also, now the phone lines are open until 11pm and I believe most don’t know this because i waited until after 10 to call (after trying all day) and only had around a 10 min wait. Hope this helps!

I got our hoppers refunded yesterday. Make sure you know what kind of refund to expect. The first time, the CM said a refund of $276 for 4 hoppers. I said "that doesn't sound like enough". Then she checked again and said she was just calculating the 1 day price. Our tickets were 7 days so we were due $90 per hopper. So a $360 refund. I purchased mine from UT, they were linked in MDE, and she refunded it to whatever form of payment I wanted. I figure if hopping is restored by our trip in November, we can always add them back.

Making that downgrade did remove the long expiration date from our tickets and locked them in to the dates we are traveling. So if that's an issue, you might want to delay getting your hoppers refunded.

Thanks for posting this. Helpful info

I wish I had taken note of how much, per ticket, our PH add-on was back in Feb when I bought them from UT before the rate increase. I'm hoping UT will have that correct amount

Our trip isn't until mid-October so I'm waiting a bit to contact Disney to remove our Park Hoppers. We have some time. The phone lines are nuts right now with all of the park reservation system going live and having issues.
Same here. We’re going mid November so I’m just going to wait it out as long as possible. I’ll deal with our park hopper option later.

I redailed 407-939-1936 27 times this morning until I got through, waited 2 hours on hold, was able to change my resort but decided to wait on park hopper change because the CM couldn't add on a base ticket for me. She said new tickets sales may be "around the corner" 🤞🤞 My trip is July 22 and I will wait and see what happens between now and then.

If you have a discount, you are unable to modify it under the change reservations tab. Do you have the Covid discount?

I called Monday, and was able to change from a 6 day park hopper to an 8 day base ticket. Now I'm kind of wondering if I should have done 9 days.

What kind kind of magic did you use to make that happen?

Everyone I’ve talked to said they can’t add days even with removing the park hopper. We’re going 7/10-7/17, and I have three day hoppers as part of a package.

I was able to get 5 day ph transfered to a 6 day park pass. All she had to do was check the options for the package code.

Hate to repost but if you’re stuck on the official phone number try the ‭(407) 939-7866‬ number. Rang right through for me today about lunch time after the 407 W DISNEY was busy.

We were able to modify my reservations from ASMu to Pop and remove our Hoppers. Took about 20 minutes to get two separate reservations switched.
