Disney must be using aggregated data to look at a specific subset of satisfaction, likely in a specifically targeted group.
Majority of people are thankful Disney is open, but it simply doesn’t hold a candle to what they could offer and do prepandemic. (Facebook groups will testify to the sheer shock and utter confusion of the reservation system, ticket prices with limited offerings and dismay over lack of dining).

kind of makes me want to do a third party survey- but if it got too big disney would absolutely come after me for mining their data with my background knowledge.

I loved my trip in early February. I'd say my satisfaction was higher than normal. Satisfaction isn't the same as value or experiences, either.

Thanks for this... I've been watching the calendars every few days out of curiosity since we are supposed to be going a little later in June. We've made our park day reservations already, but I was surprised to see some dates in June turning yellow already and was wondering if there was some kind of an event or draw for those dates. But I guess it's just summertime plans?

When I take my elderly mother to WDW, her fingerprint almost never worked. Then the CM comes over with a tablet and bypasses the system. Perhaps fingerprints are age sensitive.

My wife has been finger printed multiple times for background checks, they'll spend >30 minutes trying to get a good set of prints off her and she's had them rejected by the FBI multiple times. I meanwhile get a full set in a minute or two no issue.

Some people just have light prints.

we've had this at my workplace for several years, I like that idea better than a finger print scan.

That's interesting. Although face masks really put a damper in it. I'm also wondering how well it works with children year after year? I already had to switch my kids fingerprints to mine because theirs couldn't be read consistently.

If it works, I think it's neat. I also appreciate that Disney is willing to try new things. Sometimes they work out great, sometimes not so much...

interestingly, the Google Photos app on my phone uses a facial recognition feature to sort pictures by people in them, periodically it asks "is this the same person?" and you click through a selection of photos to see if it got the match up correct, yesterday it brought up several pictures of my oldest daughter who is now 6 and the software recognized pictures of her as a newborn and young baby as being the same person as a current photo of her at age 6. I was pretty impressed. so the technology is definitely out there.

I'm impressed the photo recognition works with a mask. Wish I could get my phone to do that. Does anyone's iPhone work when you're wearing a mask? If so, is there anything special I need to do to get this feature to work?

No. It’s so frustrating! ...and of course, I forget I have my mask on, and still hold the phone up to my face every single time!!!

I hear you!! I think I have to enter my passcode about 25 times when I'm grocery shopping as I keep my list and coupons on my phone. It's about the only time I miss my phone with the finger scanner....although that one didn't help a year ago when I was wearing gloves shopping...but pre-masks!

Update: I just tried setting up an Alternate Appearance but as soon as it started to scan it told me to remove whatever was obstructing my face. Doh!!

Why can’t they just check id’s? No way am I ever letting a theme park scan my face. Fingerprint is bad enough.

I wonder if there's abuse going on currently without the finger scan available. This way it basically shows/takes your picture to make sure it's you.
