Who's ready for a late summer room discount?

No luck here, have an August reservation for Boulder Ridge and they said they could not apply the discount and to try back at a later date.... oh well.

I stuck with the ticket offer that just expired. The new discount would have added about 500 to my cost.
 
Saved about $200 on my Wilderness lodge standard view reservation in August. It is better than nothing. I was really hoping there would have been Poly availability for a potential switch. Oh well.
 
Not a good enough discount for our large family unfortunately (we need 2 rooms). Makes me sad as it will be our first time staying off property but I just cannot justify the difference in cost.

Congrats to all those that got a savings on their packages today!!

Did you make the changes online? Or phone in? I have a standard view king booked for my parents, and the discount isn't showing online for that room. I've been checking since 5am.

I tried on line, then called and they said nothing was available. We have a studio at Boulder Ridge and the discount did not apply since there were no rooms available and they would not add the discount. If it is not showing on line, the CM told me it isn't available and that they could not override it. You may have better luck! I'll try back in a few days, he said it could pop up.....

No luck here either. Dang. I was able to apply it to our courtyard view, but not my mom and dad's reservation. The CM I spoke to said he doesn't think this will be the only promotion for late summer......but this one took so long to come out, I'm not holding my breath. My body can't handle waking up at 5 am everyday to check for discounts anymore. Lol

I know! It's crazy. I hope he is right about another promotion. Though there is no more availability for the studios even at rack rate during our stay, so I'm not counting on anything. Positive thoughts! Have a great trip!
 
There’s really hardly anything available at all, at least for my family of 5. 😕 Maybe there will be a passholder discount soon, too, with different options?
Same for a party of 2. Nothing available for my dates at any Villa resorts.
 
I tried to apply our discount online but it says no availability. Ugh so aggravating!
 
While I'm disappointed by the discount, it did apply to my existing WL reservation and I saved a little more than $300. Hey, I'll take it! And I'm *finally* going to Disney World after a 2-year, pandemic-induced hiatus and many cancelled reservations. :flower1:
 
Call them if you have time. Our POP century res said it couldn't apply online, but I called and they were able to.

But the discount not being available for the dates and not being able to change to an available offer aren't the same thing.

You were able to pull up the new offer for your dates correct? But just couldn't change online?

We're saying the offer isn't availabe for our dates at all, so calling won't help.

When I check online it says they are not available for my resorts. I have a split stay CBR and CCV.

I understand that. The above poster had it available online but had to call to get it changed which was what I was clarifying.

Mine dates only have 3 properties at much higher rates, calling in wouldn't change anything because they can't see anything different from what we see.
 
Mine said not available online; I called right at 7am (the discount must have been released earlier but phone lines weren't open) and they said there was nothing they could do. I changed from Preferred Pool View to simple preferred and did save about $150, but it's not an apples to apples comparison. Hoping their is a Passholder Discount yet to come :(

Just yesterday (May 2nd), I booked a five night stay for early September at BWI with the extra 2 day ticket package and today switched to the room discount.

Some background, one member of my party had a ticket from a COVID cancelled trip, so to get the discount went ahead and purchased tickets for both - deciding to save the ticket funds for the future.

Well, today I was able to change to the 25% off discount for the room without tickets. My previous package with 5 day - non hopper tickets for two adults was $3500. My room only reservation came to approximately $2200 - of course need to purchase 1 adult ticket through AAA membership at cost of ($447). So, instead of $3500 - my total with the 1 ticket purchase from AAA is roughly $2700. Very happy with the discount and savings - not a true savings because of the previous ticket purchase, but less out of my right now pocket and will not have to worry about converting the COVID ticket to extra funds in a Disney account - was worried about having to deal with that issue.

Looking forward to returning to Disney World and BWI - and bonus had to upgrade the room to Garden view from Standard view. Hope others have some luck with the discount and making park pass reservations.
 
Well, I tried applying the discount, but because my room was price protected (due to changing my reservation from last year to this year), the price I have now at POP is better than the one with a discount. Then we looked at a moderate, just in case, and there wasn't availability during my dates. The cast member told me to keep trying as reservations are canceled, maybe something will become available that would end up being better. Oh well. I tried.
