Another reason I don't like Xfinity. Internet outage when I wake up says back by 9. So I hurry to be able to go into work when I'm work from home. Check before I leave the house, 15 min later I'm waiting for my laptop to connect to work and I check again. Stupid internet is back on at home. I could've saved myself the stress! I start at 730, had it said 8 I'd have waited.

Then I have a ton of coi's on my desk that should've been here last week when I came in. So at least I have stuff to do that I needed to deal with here but I had plenty of time last week when I had to come in.

Yes! My (DH's) CSP has points pending too. I missed first statement closing by 2 days.

Oh, if you already have airline points, then definitely use them first. I've been sitting on a couple hundred thousand AA miles for a few years, though, and have not found a good use for them so I prefer the flexibility of collecting MRs and URs. We did have a great trip to Europe once in AA First, but I wasn't able to duplicate that deal again.

I am struggling with this. I managed to get 3 Biz tickets to LHR for next spring break then the football schedule was released only to find out the only game while we are there is the date we'd be leaving. Canceled tix and only managed to rebook 2 tix returning a day later. I keep checking daily, but the flights I need are over 200k miles RT. DH only has 180k miles (plus it's a ridiculous amount of miles to pay)

Xfinity is the best choice in our area but they're kind of a necessary evil. I will say that the new modem along with unlimited internet in new house is working better than old house 6 blocks away. Plus transferring service allowed us new offers, so unlimited is cheaper than the limited services at old house.

I get outages happen too and this is only the second time it's impacted my work day. It's just thr combination of it all that's uber annoying.

It looks like the Amex Hilton Biz 180k offer is back my friends! This is available via support link (not sure if other affiliate/public links have it). I'm very intrigued personally...


So if you do the math, you'll earn a minimum of 210k Hilton points for spending $10k... (Because you also get 3x Hilton base points on every $1 spent). You could earn even more if you hit the bonus categories in meeting your MSR.

It also was pointed out that if you spend $15k you then earn a Free Night Certificate (FNC). So in total you could get 225k Hilton points + a FNC for spending $15k. I didn't even realize I wanted Hilton points... but now I'm suddenly interested! And I can transfer points between spouses so if we both do this... it'd be quite Hilton stash!!

Given that only previous portion was a hot spot box with horrible speed, I’ll happily take XFinity any day! It was like we joined the 21st century in Dec 2020 when we could finally stream movies.

Back home and things are better. My desk/chair set up at home fits me unlike at work. And Dude's finally eaten hos breakfast. He didn't want to before I left and he won't eat if he's home alone. Mom and buddy left yesterday for OR for a couple weeks

I learned long ago not to give him a cookie when I left, it'd still be there 8 hours later when I got home. Silly pup.

Is the Chase status line working for biz applications? I know for awhile it was not, wasn't sure if that got resolved.

You only have to wait a year after for new cards. If you have an older CSR that you PCed to a freedom you can PC it back. Or if you have a freedom you can PC that up to a CSR, you just need 10K credit line.

I don't have the airline points yet.. but I have plenty of time. Bookings won't be available until June. Plenty of time to get cards for the family!! Running out of Chase UR Cards to get and wasn't sure of my next cards anyway. So, this will help. Do want SW Cards again for DH but waiting on better offers.

I've always kind of looked at Hilton points as a 0.4-0.5cpp type of value. A little lower than Marriott even... But there are some nice values out there, especially if you can get into a 5th night free situation when using all points on a long stay.

You have to look for the standard awards. Once those are gone, the point values are usually crazy and not worth it. Just about all the properties max out at 95k for standard awards. I think the only exceptions are the WA Maldives at 150k (!) and the WA Los Cabos at 120k.

Thank you for sharing that! I think some over water bungalows are in my future with this! Now if it will be French Polynesia or the Maldives again remains to be seen.

IMO Hilton's best value is in the midrange -- Double Tree, Hampton Inn, etc. You get those 40,000-50,000 per night rooms and sometimes the value is upwards of 0.6 cpp (usually closer to 0.4). The only time I go luxury with Hilton is with my Aspire FNC

Oh, no. Mine will be four months next week and today she started eating the couch. Golden retrievers eat couches, not 8 pound lap dogs! I was hoping this stage would end soon but maybe not. And the couch is 13 years old and needs to be replaced (can't decide between an Arhaus sectional or a Ballard sofa and loveseat) but I guess I need to hold off a little longer. I have to walk around with bitter apple spray to protect myself and my 14 year old dog from her. She's a real piece of work and I'm not sure this is what I needed to feel better about sending DD to college.

I had a conversation a while back and to change service at our same address from DD's name to mine would give us access to new offers. But....account has to be closed for 2 full days, with any equipment returned. DD didn't want to play the game. Since she's actually paying, I left it alone.
