Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

I'll start with AK?

Yikes probably related to the booster.

EVERY DAY THERE'S ANOTHER CASE AMONG OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS! :scared1: Got word today my nephew (Jack's Dad) tested positive. According to my sister, he's really sick. 😖 Not sure on Emily's granddad; they had to postpone his surgery until Tuesday. They weren't told why, my guess is staffing issues. Just talked to Sara and right now, at 9 PM, the eye of the hurricane is passing over Treavor's brothers home. Sara just texted and Courtney said it's pretty bad. Before it got dark, she could see shingles flying by....and tree limbs and looked like every house in their neighborhood had some type of damage. She thinks theirs is okay but wasn't about to go outside and look! Their power went out around 3:30 and they're huddled in the hall since the winds are so bad. Local reports say they have at least 3 more hours of the wind and heavy rain! 🙏

Best place to start :thumbsup2; this is located in the AK. :tink:

is this from Asia?

Since Allie was home this weekend we celebrated David's birthday early. His "birthday surprise"....Allie SHOVES his requested ice cream cone in his face! 🤣 She was rather pleased with herself that she pulled it off! :rolleyes1

show those photos on facebook
you forgot to post the best one. of some certain person who does not look very impressed lol

Well....another day; another POSITIVE case. :faint: This is getting ridiculous. I feel like we should go in lockdown again! 🥴 Another teacher at Sara's school and 2 students waiting for results.

Heard from Treavor's brothers family and it's not good. She was using her sisters cell phone since all AT&T was out...along with their electricity, gas and water! Heavy wind damage in their neighborhood but they only lost a few shingles. ALL the outdoor portable buildings "blew up"...none in tack in the entire neighborhood. They have a generator and a room AC but they're running out of gas. She can't get in touch with Joe (deployed with National Guard) since his phone is AT&T also. She loaded the kids, dog and cat this morning but the officials wouldn't let her on the highway so she had to go back home. 😧 Treavor told her how to syphon gas out of the car for the generator but she's afraid to use too much; wants to have gas in the car to come to Texas if they'll be without services longer than a couple of days. And her problems are "minor" compared to those in the flooded areas. 😣:tink:

UGH sounds like a mess. I saw on the news where a roof blew of a hospital. That stinks to be without power and water and no place to go. :( Hopefully it doesn't take too long to come back. Hope there is no flooding wheres he is.

Thank goodness, they are far enough away from the coast to not have to deal with storm surge (they live just east of Baton Rouge in the small town Gramercy). They do have rivers in the area but not close enough for them to have to worry about the flooding. The ONLY thing they don't have to deal with! :faint: Jeff...this is from Hurricane Ida; made landfall in Louisiana yesterday but effected all of the south east coast. Even as far away as Pensacola, FL had tornado warnings from this storm. It's peak hurricane season in the south all the way through October. September is usually the worst month.

On the bright side...Allie's entire soccer team tested NEGATIVE party: today! That means if WE all stay well we'll be spending Labor Day weekend in Brownwood for 2 soccer games! :cool1: A neighboring school district has announced it will break for the Labor Day weekend Wednesday instead of Friday! They're hoping the extra break will ALSO break the daily positive Covid cases! :tink:

KATIE HAS A JOB! party: She is now a member of the Center Stage STAFF and will be teaching younger students in ballet and tap. To say she's excited doesn't touch it 😆; Ms. Amber talked to her yesterday and as soon as she got home she pulled out a journal to start notes on choreography and class plans! 😁 And Allie is getting her first "real college soccer" experience on their first overnight trip for a game! ⚽ They had to travel over 5 hours for the game tomorrow in Houston and, for once, WE only have 1 1/2 hours to drive! :goodvibes

But BEST NEWS OF THE DAY....NO positive Covid cases among our family or friends. party::tink:

1 1/2 hour lightening delay thanks to these clouds; not much rain but cooled temperatures off a bit! :goodvibes Back home it was 102 with a heat index of 118! :faint: Finally got started and at one point they were up 4-1; final ended up 5-4. Allie got to play about 30 minutes; some really good freshman players this year :dance3: getting a lot of play time when they were up by 3. Allie got to leave for dinner with us while the boys played. After we ate we took her back to the stadium while Sara dropped Treavor and a friend off at Hobby Airport for their flight to Vegas. They're playing in the annual pool tournament over the next 10 days. The flight AND the bus 🙂 both left at 9 PM. Treavor will arrive in Vegas about 2 hours BEFORE the soccer bus arrives back in Brownwood around 3 AM! :faint: The coaches notified all the professors they were having a very late night so they don't have to report to classes tomorrow. :goodvibes Allie said she'd skip her 8:30 class but was going to the rest of them! She hates falling behind....
