I'm wondering if the release won't necessarily be 6am. I'll probably keep checking throughout the night! LOL

Anybody ever gone to opening day at a restaurant like this? We'll be there on the 20th and are considering it. Wondering if we'll have to rope drop Epcot to have a chance, or if we can swing by later... also wonder if they'll be utilizing the virtual walk-up list on MDE.
We were there for Be Our Guest. As I recall, we got in line at about 10:20 for an 11 AM opening. They started taking us early, maybe at 10:40? The lines only grew after that. Got really long later in the day.

The details are fuzzy. I wish I could remember the exact times. But I know we got in line well before opening, and it was already long. And I recall they starting taking orders early. By the time we finished our meal, the line was crazy long.

Did you all hear? it'll be a Pre-fix menu for both lunch and dinner.....they will be booking for reservations starting September 20th for dates after 9/27 I believe. menu sounds really tasty! you can find the info on Disney sites.

I was so looking forward to eating dinner and experiencing Space 220. $ 79 pp is a lot of money for dinner, and getting steak or lobster will be even more. Lunch at $ 55 was expected, but the time it will take at lunch will really cut into the day. While the menu sounds great, a bill of $ 400 or so for four people is a bit much. Darn.

agreed, if we dont get a lunch rez we just wont do it. Anyone know what time they swap from lunch to dinner?

OH MY GOSH! THIS IS A REAL PLACE!! I mean, I hoped. It looks like... maybe...for real, it's a go!! I can't wait to be "wait"-less in Space!

Of course I’ll be first in line when ADRs are released, but a $79 prix fixe with flat iron as the steak cut is a sign of what this menu is all about…

There is an 8oz filet on the dinner menu at no extra charge. The upcharge is if you want lobster or shrimp added. The flat iron steak is on the lunch menu at $55/adult.

8 OZ. FILET MIGNON*
Cabernet Butter, Potato Leek Croquette, Haricot Vert. U10 Shrimp $9 / Half Lobster $15

FLAT IRON STEAK*
Coffee Space Rub, Smashed Fingerling Potatoes, Cabernet Butter, Haricot Vert

I am trying to figure out what might be the way to visit the Space 220 lounge.

Is the Walkup wait list the only way to be able to get into the Nomad Lounge?

To get into the Lounge at Cali Grill, you visit the host stand?

Doesn't surprise me that it's pre-fixe. Will prevent those from coming and ordering a drink just for the experience.
Yes but it's more than that. This allows Disney to maximize margin for each diner. No one buying the $25 burger like they might at other table service restaurants.

The burger at Space 220 is going to set you back $55, just like the Seared Tuna, Bluehouse Salmon, and Flat Iron Steak.

People will pay it. Especially out-of-state visitors with kids who want the experience.

And the vloggers will promote the heck out of it, since it's a new Epcot restaurant.

Sadly, this will become the norm going forward.
