so......THREE Bonvoy offers? :smooth: wowwwww! Which is the best offer though? I'm just musing here b/c I don't currently want an MSR.... they're all 5k msr, the biz has 2 free nights, I'd think either the biz offer or the chase offer appeals the most b/c the Amex personal has a really high af(?) what do y'all think?

100% biz... applied already and got the pop up as expected. Now, stuck on whether I go for Chase Marriott personal or CIC, I know CIC is better value especially with support but I am 100% planning on several nights @ Dolphin this year and would love to get in on this offer.

The Biz for sure.

It took over a week, but I was approved for CSP. Only posting in case it helps anyone else get approved.

My credit is frozen and I don't like to unfreeze all 3, so I always apply and then wait for them to tell me which one to unlock or get a code for. It was about 5 days from when I applied online to get my letter in the mail telling me which to unfreeze before calling in.

The next day, I got a one time use code for Chase to access my credit report. When I called, I actually ended up talking to 4 different people over the course of an hour. They had to verify my identity several times and since I already have 4 Chase cards with about $60K of credit lines, I offered to lower my credit limits in order to get the new card. They did say I needed to move credit, which is painless for me because I never use anywhere near my limits on my cards. I was transferred one more time after that and after verifying my identity, I was told, "I just submitted your application. You'll get a card or a letter in the mail in one to two weeks." I was shocked. I thought for sure that I was being denied.

5 days later, I got an email saying they approved my application and the card will come in the mail in 5 to 7 business days. I logged into my Chase account and saw it there and saw my other credit limits adjusted to what I requested. I am still waiting for the actual card (the email came last Friday), but I'm not in a hurry.

Having 5 Chase cards is excessive to me. So, when I use up my Bonvoy certificates, I'll probably close that one.

Congrats! But once the certificates are in your account you don't need to keep the card open to keep the certificates, unless you mean once you get your next certificate.

Wow, those are great offers! Too bad both DH and I have had the biz version, or else I'd totally go for that.

Amex Brilliant vs Chase Boundless, I think I prefer the Brilliant even with the high AF. I love the aspirational properties, so the 85k FNC will work better for me. It comes with $300 credit for Bonvoy properties, which I don't think I'll have trouble using, so that will cover some of the AF. I also like that I won't have to factor it into my Chase velocity (other than 5/24). Guess I'm a medium speed churner lol, so that matters.

Now to figure out how, IF, I should fit it into my 5/24. At 4/24 now and won't have one dropping until May.

Amex cards used to take awhile to report to CRs, but there have been DPs of them reporting sooner now. Have to think about that too. 🤔

If I add myself as an AU on my mother's CFU which was opened as a CSP in May 2019 (then PC'd to a CFU in June 2020), it wouldn't count against my 5/24, since it's been over 24 months since it was opened, right?
Then, as an AU, could I transfer her URs to my CSR so that I could redeem the points at the higher value? We do have the same last name, just don't live in the same house. We contemplating an extended family Disney trip and we'd love to get the Disney gift cards through PYB before the grocery option goes away on the CSR.

I don't think you can move points to an AU, has to be the same household.

Terms:
"You can move your points, but only to another Chase card with Ultimate Rewards belonging to you, or one member of your household."

I've wondered if the reason they took away the ability to add new cards to transfer to is so they can manually check that the person qualifies.

So, DH was approved for the CSP on 9/21/2021 and the CSR on 9/22/2021 in the MDD. His CSR card just arrived by express mail!! Less than 48 hours later! Meanwhile I guess his CSP is going through snail mail.

I guess it doesn't matter which SUB we work towards first. So, paying bills today that we held off on until we got the card.

So this month cell credits haven't posted, my verizon bill just reset so I'm going to try it again.

Same here, I made a $15 payment and immediately got the 'used your offer' email. I should be able to catch the next 3 months easily. Now, I just have to reuse my $20 brilliant restaurant credit. That's pretty easy. I've already gotten my $10 credit on my regular card.

You can SM to have the CSP expedited, but sounds like you don't need it.

The $300 travel credit is also good for grocery and gas through end of the year (don't know if they're doing something similar next year), so you might want to use that up. This resets every card anniversary. There's also a temporary $60 Doordash credit through end of the year. And Peloton credit, if you're interested in that.

Hello, looking for advice on a cc.
Family of 3, We just became APs and plan to travel to WDW much more frequently. Mostly weekend trips maybe once a month. We live in Philadelphia and usually always fly American but occasionally Southwest. We would fly SW much more if they offered more non stop flights and if the prices did not sky rocket this past year from PHL.
We currently have had a Disney visa that we have had for almost 10 years. We love the card but would like something they would earn us some flights. We honestly don't even know where to start when looking for the best type of cc for travel. Any insight would be appreciated.

We don't have perfect credit but its pretty good. prefer something that doesn't have a super high Annual fee

Starting to think about next summer vacation. It will be my 40th, was originally hoping to go to Japan, but think I’d prefer to hold off on international travel for another year or two.

so now I’m thinking- fly to Phoenix, drive to Grand Canyon, then drive rt 66 to Joshua tree and finish wwith a few days at Disneyland.

looks like i can use my 35k Marriott fnc in twenty nine palms right outside of Joshua tree.

for Disneyland- splurge for the Disneyland hotel or stay off sight? We’d be there on my actual 40th b day.

and this is all mid august.
If you have UR points you can stay offsite at DLR closer than 2 of Disney's hotels. Right on Harbor across from the entrance. If you have the funds and want to splurge, by all means stay at the Grand Californian!
For Grand Canyon, we stayed 2 nights on the rim, it was very cool. Took the train to GC which was kind of a waste. The train itself was nice but the scenery is pretty boring.

I booked a place in the Keys for my husband's 50th birthday using the $400 Amex credits ($200 and $200). I'm supposed to get $100 resort credit and an upgrade, if available, which I hope there is because its midweek. Do I have to do anything for either of those benefits? Will it be noted in my account or do I have to ask? I've never used an Amex Plat credit before.

Has anyone gotten a retention offer on the CSR this year? Do I have to call Chase or can it be a SM?

Have today off. I don’t usually have Tuesday off and it was going to be the first day since March 2020 I had the house to myself. If I am home from work someone else is here. Today the older kids would be at school and DD4 is finally back in daycare.

Got an email last night DS6 has been exposed at school and needs to stay home. Whomp whomp. So much for a day alone. I guess I’ll try again in next month.

Also getting an the COVID exposure email the day before our Hawaii trip is my greatest fear😬😬😬😬😬
this is me today. All set for first full day home alone - ds5’s teacher tested positive so the whole class is home for awhile…

Must be the week - I got the call yesterday my son's teacher was positive so he's home with me for 3 days. We've both tested negative on rapid and PCR so hopefully it's just a minor inconvenience. My husband is in Puerto Rico for work this week and I also was looking forward to a quiet, empty house during the day :)

The Hilton restaurant credit will work on a Starbucks reload through the app correct? Still haven't gotten my credit from the 3rd and don't have reason to spend 10 bucks eating out this week. Should've used it at homecomin last week I guess.

Since it's your bday, you may want to splurge. But if you just want to be close, the Fairfield Inn can be booked with a 35k Bonvoy FNC if it's not peak season. We've stayed there twice. It's not fancy, but clean and comfortable enough. Have also stayed at Best Western Plus Park Place Inn, booked with UR. That's even closer, right at the light to cross Harbor. It's a bit motel-y for me though, so I prefer the Fairfield.

For FHR, I think the hotel is supposed to give you a letter outlining the benefits. If they don't, I would ask, in case there are any restrictions on how you can use the credit.

You have to call for the CSR retention.

We have the Best Western Plus Anaheim booked for next June. 🤞🏼Since I've rebooked this so many times I lost track. I booked the Fairfield 3 times but got tired of chasing their free night availablity as it seems they release points availablity after Marriott generally does.
