Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Whoot! Snagged a disney + discount on an rpc room in august, deluxe king all that was available, thinking ahead for halloween stuff. Any opinions on what to request? I hear mixed reviews on those rooms.

I did too, for Labor Day week. But a family member mentioned the lobby & rooms are supposed to be remodeled. Anyone know when things are supposed to start. Stayed at CBR as construction was starting for riviera & the skyliner. Not doing that again.

We're staying at BWI this summer. Two club-level related questions: can you request Boardwalk view? I didn't see it as a bookable category.

Secondly, does the lounge have an ice-cream freezer like the BC/YC lounges?

Yes, you can request BW view. From what I understand there are not many BW view rooms compared to non BW view, but they are by request. We have stayed twice
in the past and got an amazing BW view once and a so-so garden view furthest from the lounge once. I can tell you that the CL is amazing either way; but the overall stay was light years better with the amazing view and close room. There’s nothing to be done about it, it is what it is, but it makes me hesitant to book a regular CL room at the BW compared to other CLs since while I love BW CL, the BWI is not one of my favorite resorts. I liked when you could book BW view and at least knew what to expect if you didn’t pay for it instead of knowing you paid the same either way.

There was no ice cream freezer over the 50th on Sept-Oct, but that was a while ago so it could have changed.

Hi everyone,

I leave in 3 days!!!!! 2 years in the making....So excited. A couple questions I'm hoping you can answer or direct me.

We are staying at AKL CL. Is there a particular set of room numbers I should request for the best views of the Savanna?

Did you mostly use the buses or Uber? (First time staying here)

Did you use a car service or Uber from airport?

Thank you so much! This information will help me complete my spreadsheet. LOL
If you have time, can you please find out from the club concierge the exact locations of the Standard View - 1 bedroom suite?
Thank you so much, and don't worry if you forget. Have a great trip.

They just announced up to 25% room discount on stays July-Sept for Disney+ subscribers!! It’s in the discounts thread. You need to be using the same email address for your disneyworld.com and disney+ subscription (I had to get mine adjusted this morning), and it should automatically link in MDE. As long as MDE recognizes you as a subscriber, the discount will pop up when you search or look to change an existing res.
Who did you call to adjust it? D+ or WDW?

Thank you for the quick reply! We stayed at BWI last summer and loved it. The room was dated but it was in good shape and we just really enjoyed the resort. I'd really like a BW view, but more than anything, I don't want to be stuck at the end of a long hallway.

What's the water situation in the lounge? Do they have bottles or a machine like CR or do you have to wait for someone to fill a pitcher like AKL?

I look forward to your AKL CL review! I'll be there the 1st week of May!

If we are a family of 4 booked into a 1 bedroom suite at CR and decided to bring another adult to help with the kids, are we able to book them into their own standard room at CR but also add them to the suite (since we are still below the 6 adult capacity) so that they can take the kids to the tower lounge? I don’t mind paying a fee, I just want to make sure that everyone has their own space but also that we aren’t breaking any rules by having them with us in the lounge.

No personal experience here, so just talking out loud on your question. Unless I'm not thinking about this correctly, the right/legitimate thing to do (obviously a judgement there on my part) would be to add the other adult to your Suite reservation.

To avoid any possible problems I'd consider making a dummy guest profile to add as the extra adult in the suite instead of using the same profile for their real room, if that makes sense.

Seems all good to me.

I think my issue was that everyone in the suite needs to have the same tickets. But I guess I could work around that by making their standard room a room only reservation with the dummy account and just ask for a room card since their magic band would be linked to the suite? Am I thinking that out correctly?

So — we heard that, as well. I did a thing as a backup (we’re only there for 2 nights, anticipating a Halloween something on the Friday). Just in case it’s going to be really bad at GF. We have 2 rooms at RPC, and we also have a suite held at CR. Which would be amazing, but I prefer RPC over coddled eggs.

Ya’ll realize that this is the only place on here that I’d admit I’m holding rooms at 2 places? 😬

Ahh, yes, didn't think about a package. But yes, what you said seems like it would work fine.

Or just go big and get a 2BR! :-)

Frankly seems smart to me. I know some posters have reported having it on good authority the RPC renovations won't be until next year sometime and that very well could end up being the case, but with how construction and especially Disney construction things go (and how they always grace us with perfect clarity and notice in advance), I'd be making backups in certain circumstances if I had any reservations involving GF and BWI.

Unfortunately there are none available for our dates! I do have a 2BR at BLT booked as well which may be the better option now that we are bringing our nanny. I was just trying to figure out if the suite could work before I make a final decision.

The BWI itself just doesn’t speak to my family. We like the MK area more (but love walking to 2 parks!) and like the YC better as a resort, and really didn’t think the BW pool was anything special at all. However, we love the Innkeeper’s Club! So for us, we would always choose BWI CL over just the YC or BC, but might choose BC/YC CL over BWI CL and would definitely choose BC/YC non CL over BWI non CL. I know the BW has so many people that just love it, but for whatever reason we found it just fine, but didn’t love it. The BWI CL is probably one of the top, though. Always decisions. Now that we need a room for 6 we can’t be picky, so BW it is lol! Also, when I say it wasn’t our favorite, we’re talking shades of grey here! There aren’t any bad choices when it comes to the deluxe resorts, or CL, IMO. Just differences and preferences 😊.

When we were there they in Sept/Oct they had still and sparkling water on tap, if I remember correctly. They had carafes beside the water to fill and take to your room, and no bottled water. I think if you wanted to fill your own bottle they did it for you as opposed to you filling it from the tap, but I might be misremembering on that.

Input please. Because I am just so undecided. I’m booking a week in CL in September, arriving on Labor Day. I was ready to book 2 nights garden view @ Poly, followed by 5 nights at YC, our favorite. Today‘s discount release threw a wrench in those plans… Poly’s not included & only rack rate for CL @ YC. So, I booked 2 nights @ RPC deluxe king room. But there is also a king standard tower club room at CR. Or I can still go with the garden view CL @ Poly.

We’ve had short stays at RPC before. I really enjoyed the afternoon tea & hearing the orchestra below. With those gone, is it even worth staying there? But, if the resort gets a remodel, it will be awhile until construction is done & discounts might be hard to come by after that. So now seems a good time to stay there, as long as construction doesn’t start this summer.

We’ve never stayed at Poly but why not stay at a nice newly refurbed room. And we should try a new resort once in awhile, right?? But the Hawaii building isn’t going anywhere. Can always try it some other time.

We’ll have our first tower club stay at the end of the month, also a king standard. I’m obsessed with seeing the MK from so close all night. The price is right with the discount. But I’m also not sure if we’ll like the evening apps @ CR or Poly, we’re not adventurous eaters at all. I can guarantee we won’t be eating any coddled eggs.

I won’t even start on deciding between BWI or YC for the 2nd half of our stay. Guaranteed waterview room with SAB & an updated room @ YC or gamble on a Boardwalk view with an underwhelming pool but maybe better appetizers & Sunday breakfast @ BWI??? 🤦🏻‍♀️ 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

It felt like there needed to be some kind of lighting around or above the TV, or a lamp in the corner, or something, but that's nit-picky.

All of the balconies on the 14th floor are very large relative to the rest of the tower.

Lovely views. Could be user error but we couldn't find the TV channel with fireworks music, but could hear enough coming from the lounge balconies to make it a good show. My mind starts drifting half way through Enchantment anyways. :duck: Not sure what's up with the TV channel.

You do get direct afternoon/evening sun on the TPV side which can really roast you during warm weather seasons... but the trade off is an occasional beautiful sunset.

The welcome letter in the room, including lounge service hours. Note the texting service has returned - I'm not sure if that's only a Tower Club thing or offered at both CLs. I asked a CM if a lot of people use it and they said it was hit or miss, but I was encouraged to use it if I needed anything.

Happy to answer any questions!

Thanks for these pix! Dd and I are coming down for MDW. TPV was $915 and AP on this room just over $1000. Can’t wait to have that balcony🥰

The worth it factor? Less than a $100 to upgrade = hell yeah.
