That was your trip to Disneyland correct? How was it? That’s where we’re headed this Friday.
It was. We had lots of fun despite me not going on a lot of rides. We flew into BUR, spent 3 nights at Sheraton Universal, then Lyft to Anaheim at BW Anaheim Inn. Flew home from SNA. We had 5 day hoppers with Genie+ Review some DLR threads for Genie+ before you go, very helpful. (Also noticed ILL have variable pricing, at least some of them) We saw the MSEP, Fantasmic and World of Color, all with dining packages. WOC is my fave. We did spend about 2-5p every day back at the hotel because it was hot and I was exhausted. It's something we never do at WDW but it's easier at DLR plus I think recent surgery (and having to wear a giant black arm sling) tired me out. We still saw pretty much everything and did lots of 'slow' stuff. I made DH/DS do all the 'baby' rides with me plus things like the firehouse and other stuff we usually skip.

I have a question about the $200 airline credit with the AMEX Plat. If I chose American Airlines would the flight detail below count? I assume it would but I don't know if the operated by part would mess up the credit.

  • American Airlines AA 5132
  • Operated by PSA AIRLINES AS AMERICAN EAGLE
  • AIRCRAFTCANADAIR CRJ-700
It's not supposed to count because the airline credit is for incidentals and not for airfare itself. There have been some widely exploited loopholes but if it doesn't credit you can't really complain about it.
To answer your question though the operated by isn't a problem. You're still paying American so if you checked bags or bought things onboard it would credit just fine.

5 day hoppers are great. Plenty of time to get in the headliners, and enjoy the “baby” rides. Haha! We also take an afternoon break. I give credit to the people that push through. I’ve always needed that break to kind of re-energize for the evening. And you’re right, if you’re staying nearby Disneyland it’s easy to leave for a few hours. I’m expecting the parks to be packed this weekend so we have set our expectations appropriately. Looking forward to being back in the park.

Which page did you end up doing for fp and how was it? I'd like to do one in nov but I don't like the menus. It's not styles of food I like so it's not even a matter of not eating part of it. I've been try to keep up on the dlr board and am aware of no subs at country bear. I could sorta find something at blue bayou but I can't get past the price when I'd only eat the steak and nothing else. Much prefer dessert party options.

Course this all won't matter if they are only doing one showing since I'm not wasting a ton of time to sit and wait for it. Or if msep is still going, that is priority one.

Eta just catching up on the dlr board and a couple people have been able to sub burgers at hungry bear, which is good to see.

Sorry I should have specified that I'm booking the flights with UR points. The charges on the AMEX would be bag fees or drinks on the flights which you said would trigger the credit.

I'm so glad you had a good time and so sad I wasn't able to offer any advice before your trip!

My younger son and I will be going with my sister and her family in October (for a few years that was an annual trip for us) and we are staying at the BW Anaheim in which I actually prefer over the BWPPI because I love the breakfast patio or whatever you'd call it.

Can someone kindly remind me how long it takes for points to show up with BA when transferring MRs to Avios?

Did something change with being able to prepay Verizon with a CC and keeping the auto-pay discount? I know I was able to do it a few months ago via my account online. Today I get a message that doing a one-time payment will remove my discount.
Update: Nevermind. I think I'm remembering wrong. I must have used a VGC.

Can you do a MDD with Chase Ink cards? If so is it just apply for one today and the other tomorrow? My FIL flips houses and builds customs homes so he has a real company. Should he apply under the company or personally? Is one easier to get approved than the other?

And the Aruba trip (older DD's weekend in Aruba) drama continues.

She had finally arrived at the Renaissance in Aruba after sleeping on a bench at JFK after a delay caused a missed connection.

Yesterday, the Flight home taxied away and then braked hard and stopped. Passengers were deplaned.
Delay, delay, cancel until today.
Everybody to the Holiday Inn.
$15 voucher for dinner.
$15 voucher for breakfast both at HI.

Today Flight leaves at 11ish.
Lands at JFK at almost 5.
Connecting flight to BWI was canceled.
Booked to DCA.
That got canceled.
Rebooked - that got canceled.
Last flight at 915 is sold out.
(probably will be canceled - weather)

She says I should get a bus.
I said no, get them to get you another flight tomorrow and a room tonight as your delay was due to their mechanical failure and why you are here in the middle of weather issues. Not sure she'll press it or sleep on a bench. No minutesuites at jfk.

I was thinking of @calypso726 when she ubered 700? miles in Scotland I think it was or was it $700 pounds for the cost? And CSR covered it? Maybe I've got sketchy details on that but she's my hero.

Anyway, ridiculous!!!

She's now in line for Sky Club.

You don’t have to MDD the Ink cards since you can have all of them…unlike the Sapphire cards where you can only hold one…
