Just had a really awkward conversation with one of the cast members for DAS pre-registration. I'm anxious talking about my condition so she told me it sounded like I didn't know what I was saying and straight up asked me what I have. It sounded a bit accusatory and made me feel really embarrassed. I was approved but that was very uncomfortable compared to when I've registered in the past.

Wow, I think I would have to report that. The Disney website says you do not have to even tell the CM what your disability is. You only have to explain how it would affect your ability to wait in a line.

Hi all. I just went to the Disney website to look at which rides are available to book with DAS. I know that we can't book ILL$ with ADVANCED DAS, but can you book them with regular DAS once you enter the parks (.e. Flight of Passage)? TIA!

Yes, anything with a return time can be booked with DAS.

I'm wondering, to set up DAS ahead of time, are you then obligated to make the advance choices? Or can you just get the pass and then 'wing it'?

I just wanted to add a very heart-felt thanks to everyone in this forum and this thread specifically! I have never been comfortable enough to apply in person for this service, good grief it's taken me 2 weeks to work up the nerve to even attempt the online option. My nerves just get the best of me at times and that leads to "ugly crying" combined with the deer-in-the-headlights stare, ain't no way I would approach someone in person and try to explain why I would benefit from any accommodations and my anxiety isn't even why I need those!

I came to this forum looking for suggestions of which scooter company to use for hubby (Thanks for all of those posts, we've reserved with Gold) and decided to read this pinned post. Took just over 40 minutes to get connected while fine-tuning my ADR's and once the video chat started I was approved and finished with my first 7 days of pre-selections in under 10 minutes. You can't imagine how excited I am for this trip now, I've been going to WDW since 1971 (yup that old) and this is the first time I am truly looking forward to walking into the parks :D

Starting in April, Annual Passholders will not need a park reservation to visit their first park of the day if it's after 2PM.

I'm wondering if this will affect the Advanced Reservations for the DAS system... Do you all think it's probably be best to make a Park Pass anyway for that park if you want Advanced Resv. ?

Here's the announcement on Blog Mickey: https://blogmickey.com/2023/02/new-...rk-pass-reservations-takes-effect-april-18th/

We are AP holders and are looking forward to not needing a reservation if we go after 2.

Everything I am aware of makes it seem that the DAS Advance Selections (DAS AS) are tied to Park Reservations. So, if you want to make And DAS AS, I think you will need to have a park reservation for that park

Has anyone here used the DAS for TRON? There's a post on the TRON previews thread about their experience, and I'm wondering if anyone here has done it, too?

The poster mentioned something about a long dark hallway with a black door at the end, that they were told to wait until a CM on the other side would open after a few minutes? That description really kind of triggers me, and would like more first hand info...

I am riding it with a das Wednesday so o can let you know then if no one else dose

If you know you are going to wing it then I wouldn't bother pre doing it. From the sounds of it, it would be much faster in person than doing the phone thing
Even if they did away with the pretrip choices, I'd still like to do it ahead of time. Just makes me feel better knowing we have it or need to plan different.
