Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

‘Rogers: The Musical’ to Premiere June 30 for a Limited Time at Disney California Adventure Park

In the first episode of the Disney+ series, “Hawkeye,” fans were treated to an exciting Broadway musical theater sequence featuring the life of Steve Rogers, Captain America. Since then, the fictional “Rogers: The Musical” has been captivating Super Hero fans far and wide, so much so that Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, treated guests at the D23 Expo last September to a popup version of the musical’s show-stopping number, “Save the City,” based on the battle of New York from the first Avengers film. We’ve been stanning ever since and dreaming of seeing this musical come to life!

Following this teaser recently shared across various social channels, I’m elated to officially announce that a real-life, all-new short one-act musical theater production of “Rogers: The Musical” will burst onto the stage at the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure park for a limited-time engagement beginning June 30, 2023. It’s all happening during the Disney100 celebration at Disneyland Resort.

‘Rogers: The Musical’ coming to at Disney California Adventure Park

This production features a talented cast of singers and dancers telling the story of Steve Rogers – Captain America – joined by Peggy Carter, Nick Fury and select members of the Avengers. The musical will take the audience on a journey from Steve’s humble beginnings during World War II to becoming Captain America, leading the Avengers and beyond. It’s a classic tale of heroes, time travel, and romance, oh … and Nick Fury sings!

The show will be super powered by music, including “Save the City,” from the Disney+ series “Hawkeye”; “Star Spangled Man” from the film “Captain America: The First Avenger”; plus, five new original songs written just for “Rogers: The Musical” at the Disneyland Resort.

“Rogers: The Musical” will run approximately 30 minutes, from Tuesday through Saturday most weeks. Additional details including show dates and times, plus news about the merchandise and food and beverage offerings themed to “Rogers: The Musical” will be shared as opening day gets closer. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog and @disneyland social for more!

I CANNOT wait for this! Not only does it look super fun, but DCA could use a good crowd eater.

Ugh, right?! Need to make it through today and the ton of the deadlines at work... because tomorrow we're headed to Disneyland!
Taking MIL who hasn't been in 30 years so hasn't even been to the second park. So excited to show her and to see the 100th anniversary shows!

I hope to make it back to DL next year, I've only been once, about 7 years ago. Definitely different, but I still loved it!

Have a great trip!

NEW Capture Your Moment Photo Sessions Coming to Magic Kingdom

I truly believe there’s no better place to celebrate something special than at Walt Disney World Resort. Whether it’s anniversaries, engagements, birthdays, graduations, or just being with family, celebrating at The Most Magical Place on Earth makes these occasions even more joyful.

To help capture these celebrations, Disney PhotoPass Service launched Capture Your Moment, a 20-minute personalized photo session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer, available at all four theme parks.

Over the past few years at Magic Kingdom Park, we’ve loved offering Capture Your Moment photo sessions on Main Street, U.S.A., and around Cinderella Castle, and we’re excited to continue offering these picturesque locations.

But, for those looking for extra whimsy in their photos, we’re thrilled to introduce a second Capture Your Moment experience at Magic Kingdom Park in Fantasyland! When we thought about where to expand Capture Your Moment, we knew an enchanted land where fairy tales come true would be the perfect place to capture milestones, family portraits, and dreamy photos.

Beginning May 1, you can escape into the timeless stories of Fantasyland and explore charming photo backdrop options. After checking in for this experience inside Sir Mickey’s, your photographer can help you choose a photo prop and your capture locations, including the backside of Cinderella Castle, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, Rapunzel’s tower, Prince Eric’s castle, Storybook Circus, Belle and Maurice’s cottage, outside Beast’s castle, around the Mad Tea Party, and so much more.* While you’re guaranteed one photo location per session, most sessions end up visiting a few locations to take photos. After being escorted to your chosen location, you’ll have up to 20 minutes to capture photos.

You may even be able to visit a location beyond Fantasyland to capture photos, such as the Haunted Mansion or other spots in Liberty Square. Ask your photographer about available options and how long you’d have to capture photos at these locations.

Looks like S.W.O.R.D. is now S.A.B.E.R. ? Interesting as the station in orbit looks like SWORD's 'The Peak' HQ. Didn't they already namedrop SWORD in Wandavision?
Did they ever say what the base Fury was on in Far From Home was affiliated with?

Just for fun Final Jeopardy from Last Night, round won by a Orlando Resident

I don't watch Jeopardy (I know the show and concept but not a game show person), but if they all knew the answer, why would they not risk the entire balance they have and double their money? Maybe I am too "into" Disney to even think anyone would NOT know that answer.... LOL

They wager when the Final Jeopardy category is given, not the answer that they have to provide the question for. So the person in the lead will only wager enough to ensure they have just a bit more than what the next closest person in score would have if they wagered everything.
