Not racist. Irish & American are not a races. This post is extremely racist!!!
That’s not the same a “mass shootings”.How many people were shot in Chicago since Jan. 2018? What were the shooters race?

Yup ..interesting how the #1 spot on that list isn't the demographic that is comprising that "awful caravan" making their way to the border. It's the home grown crazies.Well, here's some stats...

Not true. The reasons for why the shootings changes based on who did the shootings. Motivation for mass shootings of innocent victims is usually far different from inner city crime often related to drugs & poverty.I know you posted "mass shootings" BUT what are the statistics for shootings for every race? OR even murders for all races? The problem of why the shootings, not who did the shooting.
NRA seems upset too. Here's a nice whiny tweet those punks had posted earlier:
"Someone should tell self-important anti-gun doctors to stay in their lane. Half of the articles in Annals of Internal Medicine are pushing for gun control. Most upsetting, however, the medical community seems to have consulted NO ONE but themselves. "

Other issue if we are going to call extreme racism & hatred mental illness, there would be no treatment or prevention. The thing about mental health is that many people don’t know they, or their loved ones ARE mentally ill... And even if they do, it being diagnosed/documented is a different issue. Not only that but the spectrum of mental illnesses is so vast it would be hard to draw the line as to who is fit and who isn’t fit to own a firearm. There has to be a more universal way to strengthen regulations and laws, it can’t depend such a subjective criteria.
I doubt some low ranking person is the one in charge of posting things on the official NRA twitter feed. I'm sure that tweet had to be given the green light by all sorts of upper management before being posted. That is ONE person. Don't categorize a group on one persons stupid post.
Friendly message board might be an overstretch, but the thread seems to be going better then most. And this is why this problem will never be solved in the USA - some people are more upset by comments on a friendly message board than the fact of 12 people randomly being murdered in a mass shooting.
Other issue if we are going to call extreme racism & hatred mental illness, there would be no treatment or prevention.
This is the twitter feed of the NRA. The social media spokesman of the NRA. If this is the opinion of one person and not the organization at an administrative level, their social media person should be fired. That is ONE person. Don't categorize a group on one persons stupid post.
It's still extremely racist. There's plenty of people killed by guns by all races in this country. Mass shooting are dramatized on TV, but lots of people are killed in the inner cities everyday. The media seems to ignore that. I wonder why that is?Well, here's some stats...

I agree, but explain the Swiss - they have loads of guns and we don't hear of constant mass shooting incidences. What's going in America at an even more fundamental level, right? I think it's lack of (mental) health care resources.
ETA: This same lack of health care resources is probably why our drug crisis is so shocking.
They said white. Is black a race? Most people despite their color come from different countries. I always thought racism was based on skin color. In fact I'm 100% sure that's what it's based on.Not racist. Irish & American are not a races.

I agree with everything you said except the extreme rich and poor. We have high percentage of middle class. We are not a socialist country. I'm guessing most people on this board fall into the middle class category. This is a great question. Just a few thoughts I have on it and I have not read all of the pages, so forgive me if this has already been said.
The level of happiness in other countries is much higher. I know other countries have mental illness, but the level in the US is much higher. There is very little recess in school. Most families have both parents working and working way beyond typical working hours. We do not have easy access to affordable healthcare. Our foods are way more processed than other countries which is proven to impact mental health. We do not teach kids responsibility or coping skills the way most countries do. We have extreme levels of rich and extreme levels of poverty. Our military is larger than most 1st world countries and have been involved in more war, therefore resulting in more military with PTSD.
Those are just a few of my thoughts on why we have these issues versus other countries.
But they are less likely to involve completely innocent ppl at least in my city. It's still extremely racist. There's plenty of people killed by guns by all races in this country. Mass shooting are dramatized on TV, but lots of people are killed in the inner cities everyday. The media seems to ignore that. I wonder why that is?
