California Grill lounge

Just to add that the actual "lounge" in the California Grill restaurant is nothing more than 8 low tables smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. And--if you have no reservation for the restaurant and if it is crowded, they will NOT let you up just so you can see the fireworks.
They will if you show them the receipt from a meal earlier that same day. They did for us - and every seat we could see in the lounge/restaurant area was taken. We just wanted to get out to the deck to see the fireworks and that wasn't all that crowded.

Correct, the Disney website even clearly states that if you dine before the fireworks to just show your receipt at the podium and they will let you up. I have not seen a single report of brunch customers being turned away when they came back, and most have said that their server has reminded them of the benefit while dining.
