Chris Rock Live: Selective Outrage

Fair enough- I won't disagree that Bridesmaids might even go beyond Hangover. Which has full frontal male, by the way.

Does it? I know it has that in Part II but I'm not remembering it in the first one. The scene with Kristen Wiig in the jewelery store talking to the teenage girl is.......uncomfortable.

I'm guessing y'all don't watch a lot of Irish films? (They change the spelling to reflect the accent, so it tends to get past the US ratings police.)

The one and only time I ever got annoyed at the amount of cursing in a film was "Dogma", which I really otherwise liked (and which Chris Rock had a minor role in.)
It had *so* much cursing that it grew tiresome and distracted from the plot, which was rather intricate. Roger Ebert's review noted that the characters "use profanity as punctuation."

Loki, Bartleby, and Jay really sailed that ship. I can't say Silent Bob participated much.

"Feck" and "Fook" are perfectly acceptable.

See? They didn't get censored here!

Oh yeah...he's absolutely hanging in the wind there.

Did you know in real life he is actually a licensed physician in California. He doesn't practice anymore but I think he was an internal medicine specialist. So in Knocked Up he was essentially playing himself.

Yeah. I heard a long form interview with him a few years back. He worked at Kaiser. Fascinating guy.

I guess I’m in the minority here. I found it really flat and too rehearsed. I say that as a big Chris Rock fan and a huge fan of stand up. I’m used to him hitting you over the head and for me he just didn’t deliver. I didn’t have a problem with his language or certain words he used. He’s explained in interviews many times why he does that.

I live directly across the street from a Great Lake. It is about 30 degrees and snowing right now. I would rather strip down and wade out to the water intake crib then have a debate about what is or is not a "rom com".

We’re expecting 10-15 cm of snow tomorrow so I can 100% agree with you on that lol
