Are the shops at Disney giving out free plastic bags or do you need to bring or buy reusable ones?

The have free plastic bags. I was just in Epcot today and noticed them in all the shops I stopped in. You can buy a reusable bag if you want (there were plenty on display), but its not necessary.

Thanks everyone! We have some reusable bags from previous trips,, just trying to figure out if I needed to pack some. Lol we usually have one tucked in a bag and always forget it's there.

Nor was it in Feb or March...odd. Maybe it was just for a day? Seems crazy. I hope they were then offering the reusable ones for free that day.

Disneyland Increases Frequency of Community Events for DisneylandForward Theme Park Expansion Project

As Disneyland continues to host community events for their DisneylandForward theme park rezoning/expansion project, they are increasing the frequency of community events slightly throughout the summer. Here’s a look at upcoming events:

• May 20, 2023 / 9 am – 11 am

• June 3, 2023 / 9 am – 11 am

• June 10, 2023 / 9 am – 11 am

The DisneylandForward project is really a rezoning effort by Disneyland to utilize hotel space as theme park space. Concept art released by Disneyland showcases what appears to be a third theme park, but is actually a loosely attached expansion of both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks. While it’s not immediately clear in the concept art above, it is more obvious in the graphic below. The theme park expansion areas would connect to each park, but be across Disneyland Drive and likely feel quite detached from each existing theme park. Disneyland is also seeking approvals for a Disney Springs-style complex southeast of the current theme park footprint.

Tuesday & Wednesday Bonus Reservations Added for Disney World Passholders Over Next Three Weeks

The month of May is off to a quiet start at Walt Disney World, with average wait times at some of the lowest averages we’ve seen since September 2022. To that end, Disney World has made additional Bonus Reservations available for Annual Passholders on Tuesdays and Wednesdays over the next three weeks. These midweek Bonus Reservations are in addition to the weekend Bonus Reservations that are in place through the end of May.

Here’s the cadence of Bonus Reservations over the next few weeks:

• Saturdays: Animal Kingdom & EPCOT
• Sundays: Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios*
• Tuesdays: EPCOT
• Wednesdays: Animal Kingdom
