What? I was just trying to be helpful. Oh yea, a PayDay Loan store would be a good fit too.

A dollar store honestly doesn't seem that bad when you compare that to Disney prices lol. What? I was just trying to be helpful.

I have to agree.Yea, they could locate it right next to the check cashing store, pawnshop, vapes store, maybe even a Family Dollar store, 24 hour package liquor, the possibilities are endless.
Well, being Disney, it would probably be a $5 or $10 store.A dollar store honestly doesn't seem that bad when you compare that to Disney prices lol.

I don't know that a tattoo parlor is the kind of vibe that Disney is trying to sell.
Bingo... perfect postYea, they could locate it right next to the check cashing store, pawnshop, vapes store, maybe even a Family Dollar store, 24 hour package liquor, the possibilities are endless.
I hope they never put one anywhere near Disney myself. My attitude is a little extreme but when one of my junior Marines wanted one I would suggest no. I would also explain that if it got infected (very possible in Japan) they would lose a stripe, if I could see it they would lose a stripe. And if they still insisted on getting one don't put a name (you never know how long that relationship/marriage is going to last) and don't put anything on them that would make their parents annoyed.
Not extreme at all. They're nothing but graffiti. I just don't understand the purpose.

Well lucky for me the Commandant agrees with me. Part of being a Marine is being a unit and being a child with crayons is not part of a unit and yes we had received nasty notes from parents when young Marines come home with tat's that were obscene and in one case pornographic. How incredibly close minded. You can send these kids LITERALLY to their death, and you’re worried about what their parents think about a tattoo??? LOL. What VERY ODD priorities.
I had a simple rule there if I cannot see it, it is none of my business. And to be fair I told every Marine under me the rules. If they couldn't live with them, transfer with no penalty and starting last year the Commandant has grandfathered old tats but reinstilled the policy about ones going all the way down the arms.My children, who are both Marines have Disney tattoos that are in regulation and have never had a problem with any of their tattoos. DD has 4 and DS has 6. The military and tattoos have been like peanut butter & jelly for many, many years now.
The very least thing that I worry about is my children getting a tattoo. I worry about my son in Afghanistan, guarding an entrance to Bagram Airforce Base.
Again, what VERY ODD priorities. Especially for a military that is literally begging for recruits with enrollment and pay scale at an all-time low. <shrug> No wonder military morale is in a shambles. If you want robots, just buy them.I had a simple rule there if I cannot see it, it is none of my business. And to be fair I told every Marine under me the rules. Sorry, but I have to disagree. Being in the service is a very, very different life style and its nearly impossible for those who haven't served to understand it. There are no individuals in the service. Everybody is part of an organization with a task. Everybody is expendable and replaceable. This is the culture you come into when you join.

Actually there used to be a store on the Marketplace side where everything was under $10.
While respecting the other services the Commandant once commented that what sailors and gi's do is not his concern but we are Marines and are held to a higher status. As to you concern about recruiting may I ask where you heard that? The Corps has had no problems with recruiting. And just to clarify some of my beliefs. I should point out that I am also Jewish and drawing on ourselves is one of the big no no's.I get that. But maybe that’s also why our military enrollment is at an all time low and entrance requirements and standards keep getting lower and lower just to find people that will join. Just my opinion.
But the subject was tattoos in the military. I don’t see how that affects any of the culture of the organization you mentioned. Tattoos and the military are almost synonymous to me. Look at all the older service members from Vietnam and Korea. Many of them are literally COVERED in tattoos. Why was it okay back then but suddenly isn’t now? What changed? I personally live in a Navy town with a large Navy base and a stroll through the mall food court on a Saturday afternoon will show you that many, if not most, of the guys all have tattoos. The navy base is literally surrounded by dozens of tattoo parlors (locals call that area “Tattoo Town”) so somebody in the military is sure getting them. LOL
