I have 3 trips coming up in the next 12 months. Aside from Disney Paris (which I am sorry to say I LOATHE) this is my first return to Disney World Florida in 22 years. Can not wait!!
Trip 1- 10 days at GF the one I will planning here.
Trip 2- 17 days at GF club level (+ maybe Poly for the last 6 days) This is what I am really excited for. Slightly better group going and for longer!
Trip 3- 14 days at GF CL for now.
Hotel/package- Two standard rooms in GF outer building. My husband, my son and myself in one.. my parents in the other. I said no to the dining plan (still dont know if thats a good or bad idea) and I took the memory maker and park hopper+ tickets!
The pricing.. youch. Don't get me wrong it's less than half the price per night of our GF CL rooms for Easter 2018 but still.. it hurts. How did my parents manage club level GF for 6 people (with the occasional 2 bedroom suite) every time when I was a kid? (Also.. how did they book character breakfasts at the best 8.15am slot every single day?) Where are we going wrong career wise? Must investigate..
Reservations- I booked so many things as I know most likely we will cancel a few of them and I thought, 'better to have the reservations than not.' So this was a pretty last minute booking but I was still so shocked at how hard dining reservations were to come by, especially in the resort we are staying at. I kindof wish they had some character breakfast spots reserved for hotel guests.
I have managed to book (granted not all at optimal times)
- Ohana breakfast x2
- 1900 Park Fare breakfast and dinner
- The Garden Grill breakfast
- Crystal Palace lunch
- Liberty Tree Tavern lunch
- Spirit Of Aloha dinner
- Kona Cafe breakfast
- Biergarten lunch
- The Boathouse dinner
- Morimoto dinner
- Be Our Guest breakfast and dinner
- Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party Tickets for Halloween
- Pirates League costume thing for my son
Please join me on my journey and let me know your thoughts on the things I have booked. Also.. dining plan thoughts? Club level thoughts? Other hotel recommendations for future visits? Mostly I hope you enjoy.. I have the worst OCD when it comes to organising and list making so this should be planning porn for those of you like me!

Trip 1- October 2017
Flights- Flying BA from London Gatwick. Party of 4 adults and 1 child. Premium economy flying out with business return for the 3 year old (to sleep) and one lucky person. Probably Daddy as my son is having a 'daddy daddy daddy' moment. Ideal timing.. I have no desire to sit next to anyones 3 year old for a 10 hour flight, let alone my own. Non refundable non flexi flights.. lesson learnt there as I actually messed up the dates of my son's half-term. Never ever using an agency again when I can do it myself and not get charged 50% as an extra slap in the face. I was so desperate to get seats and sit all together I went for it.. but normally I would not book a WDW holiday with less than 2 months notice.Hotel/package- Two standard rooms in GF outer building. Day By Day Plan- My husband is waterpark crazy so dedicated 2 days to TL (BB will be closed for renovations) and decided as my son is only 3 to skip other activities like Hollywood Studios, SeaWorld, HarryPotter, Helicopter rides till next time. Due to my son it's a very heavily Magic Kingdom based trip. Crushed that my favourite Splash Mountain is under construction. I waited almost 23 years for this moment! Boo!!
Travel Day.. arriving to Orlando late evening.
1. Magic Kingdom
2. Magic Kingdom
3. Epcot
4. Animal Kingdom
5. Typhoon Lagoon
6. Hotel Chill and Disney Springs
7. Magic Kingdom
8. Epcot & maybe Hollywood Studios
9. Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Springs
10. Magic Kingdom
Travel Day.. just enough time for lunch before airport
