Whew! Finally posting here after some time. This thread seriously moves so fast - I barely have time to read it, much less reply! I don't know how you all do it!
As of this morning, I was at 3/24, 0/12 (unless Chase business cards count?) and finally past the 24 month bonus threshold for both personal SW cards. I applied for and was instantly approved for both the SW Plus and Premier! Thanks @Lain for your step-by-step on the two-in-one-day Chase application process: I love credit cards so much! . It was nice to have that to keep my head on track.
I'd like to have one of the cards expedited, but I also am not looking to draw attention to the fact that I just applied for both. Do I have any reason to be concerned? If not, what number do I call?
On a separate note, as some of you know (@wendow), I have a brother who has special needs (Down syndrome and autism). Even more than Disney, he adores the Wiggles. They announced last week that they were touring America, but only CA and a couple cities in New England. We're in the midwest, but we decided we'd try to get tickets to see them anyway. We ended up getting front-row tickets to their San Diego show (!!!!), so I'm now planning a trip to San Diego (+ possibly a few days in Anaheim?) for early June. My parents are both somewhat open to getting cards - they can meet minimum spend easily, and they have high credit scores. They're averse to opening new cards, however, unless they can see a tangible way that the points will immediately benefit them. I've begun thinking that if they both were to open CIPs, we could use those UR points to purchase Disneyland tickets (through my CSR). Based on what I've read here, the UR Cruise/Tour department should be able to book just Disneyland tickets (without a hotel reservation), correct?
Off to DisChurners I go to try to post my support links for the first time!
Congratulations on the two new SW cards! I love that churning will let you do something really special for your brother and possibly parents too!
