Sorry I’ve MIA from this thread…

So…I’m feeling a little emotional today.
Today starts Katie’s last softball games for this season and for the rest of her life. She has decided to not continue with college softball due to her coach showing that she is not supportive of Katie’s academics (or anyone’s). Katie took 26 credit hours this semester, while being in season, and the stress for her was off the charts. When it came time to tell her coach that she’ll need to miss a game tomorrow due to a final, her coach blew up at her. Then later told the team that she doesn’t want to hear of them being stressed about school or finals. She said, and I quote, “I don’t want to hear any of you complain about school $hit!”. So with that, Katie decided to retire after the season is over. She’s completing her Bachelor’s in 3 years, and now that she knows she will get no support from her coach, it’s time to go. Crappy way to finish your softball career. We told her that we stand with her and support her. Her coach doesn’t know yet that she’s not returning, and it’ll be interesting to see her reaction when she’s told. Katie has been her leading home run and RBI producer for both years of Katie being there. A chapter is closing and a new one will be beginning soon.

LOL......probably not going to inspire.
Since I am the mother and grandmother, it isn't up to me.
I assume DS will grill, here, since we have the pool.
The grand kids have input into what goes with it. Knowing them watermelon and chips.
DD is in charge of dessert. She usually goes somewhere and gets something since she has a wheat allergy.

Solar panels were delivered today. They get installed tomorrow.

We're getting windows on the 16th and we're still taking down blinds and drapes. It is so bright in here with nothing to block the sun.
Our bedroom will be last but that's 4 Roman shades and take awhile to get down. I may not be sleeping much those last few nights

The family room still has the shades, so that room is fine until tomorrow.
My office/craft room isn't being used now....too hot, too bright and everything moved to access the windows

the solar installation is going on and VERY loud. Hard to find anything to do with that noise.
We were supposed to do a video appointment.....delayed it until tomorrow

They were done by 1......but it sure was loud. Sounded like 4 different kinds of drills and then hammers.
Now we wait for the city inspection and the electric company to install a new kind of meter.
Solar company said about 3 weeks

We had a delicious meal at Palo’s tonight, then listened to music in a lounge. I’m enjoying this cruise a lot!

I’m disappointed, I broke a front tooth. So far, no pain and I was able to make a appointment tomorrow in Orlando with Aspen Dental!

Any feedback on that service?

oh no,,,,,I hate when things like that happen, especially on vacation.

Yesterday I went to the appointment, but before I saw the dentist, there was an emergency evacuation of the building! Two emergency vehicles showed up. for whomever were involved. Business shut down and no news when it would be reopened.

I will deal with tooth this week at home!
