Week 9 of Dopey Challenge Training

Monday, January 5: 2-mile treadmill run
That’s it! Dopey training is officially DONE!
I was expected this run to be really tough - in the past I have found that the short runs I do right before a race are really hard for me, I guess just because I’m used to the looooong ones, so I feel like the shorter ones should be done in 2.5 seconds. This one wasn’t too bad though. I did 5:1 intervals and was done in a little over 22 minutes (11:01/mile pace). The only bad thing I can say about this run is that I never really felt like I got fully “warmed up,” because I don’t do any formal warm-ups while running and this one was so short. Also, the thermostat at the gym was turned up to approximately 1,000 degrees this morning...good practice for the marathon, I guess.
I’m about 98% packed at this point. Just gotta throw in the running shoes I wore this morning and toiletries that I still need to use today, tomorrow and Wednesday morning. And that’s it!
Tuesday, January 6: Rest Day
Yay! Time to go to WDW TOMORROW! Of course, that's assuming my flight isn't delayed or canceled...we're under a Lake Effect Snow warning for tonight and tomorrow. Greeeeaaaat.
I’m running around today after work taking care of last-minute things I need (ATM stop, buying bagels for the race mornings)...and that’s it. This PTR is done.

This was a really up-and-down year for me, running-wise, and having this thread to post in definitely helped keep me on track. And to anyone running this weekend, HAVE FUN!! Maybe I’ll see you around!
