Jambo! The newest AKL Information thread

I think Jambo is likely one of the last resorts to open, unfortunately. The Kidani 1BRs are so nice, they always tempt me!!!

I agree that Jambo will be the last Deluxe to open, but suspect it will open before Riverside/French Quarter and possible some/all of the All-Stars.

Recent AKL goers.... quick question. The Uzima Springs Pool bar...... is it still generally weekend only, or has that improved? No hours are posted on the website so just curious of the latest experiences.

We are staying June 27-July 2, and I'm so hoping by then things will have gotten a bit more back to something resembling normal. We specifically like Jambo b/c of The Mara. I have a huge aversion to cooking on vacations, lol. I'd love for Jiko and Boma to be open, too, but we'll see. If I can just get a Mickey waffle to go...*sigh*

Do you mean you want to eat at 4? Sanaa does not open until 5 for dinner.

As to getting on the waitlist, I know for breakfast the waitlist is not open until the restaurant opens. So if the restaurant opens at 7:30 the waitlist opens at 7:30. I’m not sure if dinner is the same, but it might be possible that the waitlist would not open until 5.

I hesitate to post this, not wanting to jinx things after having two vacations to WDW canceled in 2020, but we are booked to return to Jambo 12/10/21 - 12/20/21. This is a DVC stay on the 5th floor, but I’m hopeful Jambo will be fully open and that the parks will be in full swing & filled with holiday magic.
